How bad is it??

In your honest opinion, do you think the White House is involved in any of these charges? Did they know anything about what was going on with the IRS, an independent agency, but is under the purview of the Treasury Dept? How much did they know about the information that was subpoenaed from the AP and their reporters? Was Benghazi just a made-up conspiracy of the Republicans just to try and get their supporters fired up for the next election or was there more to it?
What is your opinion? Is the White House clear on all charges?
Do you want to know the truth or would you prefer not to know?

1. I don't know but
it doesn't look good in any case. It looks terrible, to be honest. America shouldn't be acting like North Korea or an old style Soviet police state when it comes to freedom of the press.

3. How many times can they say they knew nothing
about ANY of these things without looking like complete liars or total buffoons?
Who is running all of these departments? Low level employees? Sheesh.

25. Many here defend the President's "powerlessness" over Executive Departments,
and thus, his inability -- they say -- to carry out any of the truly important ideas/programs his supporters elected him to implement.
All this while simultaneously praising his "great leadership" abilities...
I just grabbed the first few posts but trust me it is not all “cupcakes and ice cream†on this thread. There is some serious denial and outright stonewalling,
going on over there.

DUmmy ken tuckunder-
The Internal Revenue Service is not independent. It is a subordinate agency of the US Department of Treasury, an Executive Branch department whose Secretary reports directly to the President.
King Hussein owns this violation of the Constitutional rights of American Citizens. He ****ing owns it.

A couple of the dimwits seem to have waded into the crux of the problem for Team Obama. Either Obama is flagrantly breaking laws, or he is an incompetent stooge who has ceded control of the White House to unelected underlings.
There is no upside to these charges, at all.

34. federal law prohibits the President from being involved with the IRS
View profile
dating from when Nixon used the IRS to go after political enemies. The President should not know what the IRS is investigating.

Laws don't deter criminal activity, because criminals ignore the law.

Yes there is but it won't happen. Impeachment.
-
I don't know why the DUmmies are worried, the media will provide 0bama all the cover he needs, and even if the House drafted and voted on articles of impeachment the Senate will not vote to remove him.
The real reason the media is talking about the IRS thing, and the tapped phones is to deflect from Benghazi. By the time it's all said and done the media will have acquitted 0bama anyway. Coming soon they will blame Bush and the repukess for all of this.

42. There is NO WAY that the most ethical
administration was involved in ANY of this stuff.

There's still a downside with impeachment.
President Joe Biden.
BTW, where have they been keeping ol' Crazy Uncle Joe these days? Haven't heard much from him in a while.

45. "The buck stops here." Harry Truman
If the White wasn't involved then Obama must act quickly to rid the administration of those who were. If the White House was completely unaware, they'd better start paying more attention to what their appointees are doing.
That would get in the way of golf, dates with Reggie Love, vacations, campaigning, and partying with Beyonce and Jay-Z, ...when he's not partying with Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake.

The latter is actually more frightening of a prospect than the former. I've wondered that myself. What if he really is that out of touch with what's going on...telling he cabinet "just do what you've got to do and don't bother me with the details."

That sounds exactly like that lazy SOB.
It gives him more time to golf.

If I recall correctly, within a couple months of taking office there was an article written saying that he really was detached and preferred talking basketball with staff rather then official business.

Yeah there's been some stories relating to that over at ulstermanreport.com.
Something along the lines of how he mainly uses the private office upstairs next to Valeria Jarrett's and most days is found siting on the couch watching ESPN.
It would explain too why the first thing on his schedule most days...the PDB doesn't happen until 10:45 am.

Do they really want Slo Joe making any kind of unequivocally stupid remark that may make impeachment unavoidable even for the senate??He's staying put in his hidey hole.

Last night there was a woman interviewed on FOX (think it was Hannity) about being targeted by the IRS. She's a wife and mother, an ordinary, anonymous person living her life. She wanted to form a nonprofit because she'd been running donations through her own checking account and it was getting too confusing. She was so frightened by the questions and the scrutiny, being asked for her donor list, etc. that she stopped her activism completely.
I keep thinking, it's too bad the IRS didn't send the form back with a note saying "APPLICATION DENIED BECAUSE YOU'RE A SLUT!" Sandra Fluke might have come to her rescue with a bag of free birth control, with the drooling press behind her. At least she would've gotten a little attention.

C'mon, BD, cut her some slack. Bad, bad, Bainsbane Brown has already admitted she's not a lawyer. :-)

I imagine and halfway competent investigation will uncover Crazy Joe is in all of this up to his hairpiece as well.

Agreed. Even worse would be if they got Biden ,then it's Dingy Harry.

I would not be surprised if Crazy Uncle Joe resigns "for health reasons", if any of the current scandals stick to King Hussein. Dingy Harry would gladly sit in the co-pilot seat.

Um no. The Speaker of the House is third in line for the Presidency, and there is no way in hell the Dims would tolerate that.

Dori- I wasn't being clear.
If Crazy Uncle Joe resigned, King Hussein would appoint a new VP. He could appoint anyone who is otherwise eligible to be President- think "Gerald Ford".
Dingy Harry has been a loyal soldier for King Hussein, and would be sure to pardon him immediately if he was convicted in impeachment.

I didn't know Ford had been appointed by Nixon. In that case, I think Obama would appoint Nancy Pelosi. She's the House minority leader.
-

Yes. Spiro Agnew resigned; Nixon appointed Ford to be VP; later, Nixon resigned; Ford was appointed to the Presidency; and Ford appointed Nelson Rockefeller to be VP.

While I was out delivering mail, it occurred to me that the exposure of this IRS debacle will probably result in a bunch of new conservative groups - just in time for 2014.
-
Well DUmmies, it's bad enough that Jon Stewart and Maureen Dowd spit obumbles dick out of their mouths long enough to essentially call him an incompetent boob.
-
Oh ye of little faith. O'bama is doing nothing more than playing 16 levels of dimensional chess that no mortal could possibly understand. We must all sit back and wait. It will be clear to us in the history books.
