An owl who is afraid of flying outside in big open spaces has been given his own red brick house. Gandalf the great grey owl gets scared flying out in the open so his owners have built his aviary inside a brick shed. He now spends his days watching the world go by out of his window. He is a bit of a wuss as he doesn't like flying in big open spaces, said owner Janet Southard, who runs the Wild Arena photography company, based inside Knowsley Safari Park near Liverpool.

Those aren't cats, they're mobile footstools.

Yikes.

I would love a big cuddly cat like that.  I used to have one named Chunk. He was awesome. He would sleep on my head every night (side of head). He was just so furry.

My cat sleeps next to me at night (until I roll over or accidentally kick him).  Then he sleeps next to the heater.

I imagine that fat one at the top puts out a few thousand BTUs.

I had a Maine coon once, she was sooo gorgeous.  Silvery.  Her name was Cookie.  We got her in Maine, where they're a dime a dozen.  I think she was $100.  Away from Maine, maybe more.

They have great personalities, and sweet voices.  Someone here has one.  Mike I think?

Since we're post-whoring to get to a million, let me say this.  My cat has a feathery toy, like a bird.  I picked it up, waved it, and attempted to make bird whistles.  My cat looked at me with a combination of:

 :mental: and  :therock:

If I could photograph cats, I could make an LOL cat out of him.  He could be known as The WTF cat.  He looks EXACTLY like our "Oh My" cat.

I didn't say "shave", I said trim.  Some kitties look better with hair and some don't.  For all of those in between, well, just a trim would do.   :-)
