Well it seems the liberal icon, Warren Buffet, whose company bought a media company in June, has shut down an unprofitable paper that company owned and all employees lost their jobs.
Warren Buffet = Mitt Romney? (http://www.wtop.com/164/3176295/Manassas-News-Messenger-prints-final-edition)
Anybody wanna bet that the dump will miss this? All I heard from the dump was how Romney cost people their jobs. Seems Warren is doing the same thing.
Anybody got a mole they wanna burn? :-)

I wouldn't trust Warren Buffet near a lemonade stand.

He'd pay off some city commissar to shut the stand down because it might hurt his profits.

Paper editions of news are dying quick. DUmmies would just be full of excuses and thank Buffet for saving trees.
-
Not one but two new newspapers were started immediately to fill the void left by Buffet's paper closing - maybe it wasn't the market...maybe it was the content.

Sign of the times, Mother has been complaining her local paper is now so light she finds a breeze will blow it up into the trees from her driveway.
With all the PC's in homes now who is going to spend extra money buying the bird cage bottoms and puppy pee pads for 50 cents a day and $1.25 on Sundays ????
Then one must look hard for news in a small town paper, if the Mayors kids gets arrested for anything short of murder then it will not be reported. Have to go to out of town papers to get the perticulars.
Some of our local papers now charge for online use. Can't blame them they need money to run the business. However some of us have found a way to get around that, so far.
The days of the print news industeries are numbered. They know this and are scrambeling to find money anyway they can.

Liberal media template #1: Romney = bad, Buffett = good

This is good. Think of all the trees that evil newspaper won't kill now that they are shut down. [/DU mode]

He's done worse before.

Another significant paper shutting down in NH...the Nashua Telegraph is being dumped by the family as quickly as they can find a buyer. Now if they'd just do the same with Foster's.

I have been getting phone calls from of all places Boston to subscribe to their print edition.
Not Fosters, only way I can get any news on what is happening in my area. The PH has this habit of protecting the local law enforcement and the big wigs in town from any undesirable publicity. After 3 years we still have yet to hear of why the Union member for the Long Shoremans Union had his home shot up.
All this monkey business going on and I have to read about it in an out of town news paper.
That crime reporter that had the town Chief Of Police arrested for peeking in her windows at night, out side of the fact the chief resigned and wife left him, most info came from Fosters.
My favorite mystery was when a male found a packet of $30,000 in cash down by the water front. He took it home and spent some of it on friends etc. No one claimed the money for a time until one of the friends he spent money on rolled over to the cops on him.
Now he was arrested for taking the money, none of that finders are keepers stuff, and out of no where the paper says SOMEONE, NO NAMES GIVEN HAD CLAIMED THAT WAS THEIR MONEY.
Up shot was the finder went to jail, for what ever crime [ ? ] and no information on who, why, or when the so called owner happended to leave the packet just laying around.
Where is Nads when you need her a fearless Citizen reporter, one that can't be bribed or scared off the scent of a Big Story ?

And for another media mouthpiece shut down by leftist darlings:
Al Gore’s Current TV...Agrees to Sell Channel to Al Jazeera (http://www.theblaze.com/stories/report-al-jazeera-set-to-take-over-al-gores-current-tv/)
Al Jizzeera won't even keep one or two token infidels on as they take over ManBearPig's channel. All they wanted was access into the US cable networks.
