The Mayans didn't exactly say how we would all die, so I'm personally in favor of a meteor strike igniting the atmosphere. Quick, painful for a second, and its over.
(of course the Mayans didn't predict their own demise and the doomsday thing is kind of on it's own)

How you you end the world? Man eating grasshoppers?

What timezone were they Mayans in? We were talking about that at work and thought it has to be Central time. :-)
