Looking for a good discussion with republicans.

You will more likely find "Conservatives" here.  Hence the name of the forum.

Oh, and welcome.

In scientific terms that would reflect a crappy sample.  How do you feel about Ron Paul?

Wasn't trying to be scientific.  Just answering a question.

Don't care for Ron Paul.  See my line...I'm liberal.

He wasn't and isn't.  His foreign policy and racist history makes him more of a Democrat.

Pompous, arrogant ass, aren't we?

It's libtards like you who think they have all they answers then when they come up short, they stand there with their hand out expecting it to be filled.

Take a dump in it, Sammy. It builds character.

Smug little ****er, aintcha?  And welcome to the Internet, noob.  What you're obviously not aware of is the fact that most of us here are smart not because of what we know, but how little we know and are willing to learn/discuss.  I might come across as an arrogant prick know-it-all, but don't kid yourself--if I don't know something, I'll say so, or STFU and listen.  Try it sometime!

(Been on the 'Net in one form or another since 1985, thanks for asking.)

What I'm saying is that RP tried to co-opt the Tea Party for his own ends, and failed miserably in the process.  I suggest you google Rick Santelli of CNBC--he's the one who originated the term.

I thought the Tea Party was MORE than a term.  Course, as I have learned on here, they are now the Conservative Party members.

Um, no, not exclusively.  I've never been to a Tea Party or 9/12 meeting/gathering, but I'll call myself a conservative long before I call myself a Republican.

Well there ya go sparky, you learned something right there.  The Tea Party is not a political party in the sense of Ds, Rs & Ls.  It is a concept.

Ron Paul a Teaparty godfather?   :lmao: :rotf:  Morons.  I've been Tea Party since the Santelli rant.  We have no godfather.

Hey Sam did you call the Hannity show today? Some caller called up with the same talking points you spew. Only he added that people die in droves on the job in RTW states. I guess OSHA doesn't exist in those states.

And the Tea Party types I know and have met are not solely Republicans either.  A good many (maybe even majority) are Independents and Democrats who are simply fed up with an ever less responsive government, among other things.

No he wasn't and never will be.

But he and his cult did try to co-opt it to make themselves look relevant.

There actually are a few conservative Democrats.  I know, I used to be one.  But I figured out that the Democrats were co-opted by the communists.

The Tea Party isn't just one group either.  There are several and with no one person in charge.  It really is grass roots.  The main thing that holds them all together is that they all believe in smaller government and a Constitutional Republic.  Not what we have going on today.

No, I really want to know why he wants to be liberal.

Is he poor?

Does he think people that work to get a lot of money owe something to him?

Does he give a good portion of his salary to people to help them out since he thinks everyone else should?

If he does it will be the first I have ever heard, and I'm knee deep in liberals around here.

Every liberal I met believes others owe them even if the other person is not rich but just better off than they.

Sam Dodd:

What do you think about this scenerio, Sam Dodd?

Rich person and poor person goes into the grocery store after a gallon of milk.

Poor person pays $2.00 for milk.
Rich person pays $8.00 for milk.

Is that fair?
