I have a feeling this election is going to be very, very close...
I know some believe it is going to be won by a comfortable margin. But my old bones tell me differently. Republicans believe they are going to win. Democrats believe they are going to win. Just like a basketball game, the one that wants it the most will work harder to get out the votes and will win the election.
Personally, I fail to see how anyone could be enthused about voting for Mitt Romney. But that does not mean they are not enthused about voting against Barack Obama.
In my life, I have noticed one thing about elections. When Democrats vote, Democrats win. When Democrats don't vote, Republicans win. It is as simple as that really.
kentuck ... my hat is off to you sir! That is the most profound statement I've ever read. Gee, who would have thought that if your party doesn't vote it will lose. Huh.
As to the part about voting and winning ... how did that work out for you in the last election?
KC
On Edit; By the way kentuck, I don't think you need to worry about the election being close. I can feel it in my bones.

And thus was the proclamation of the doom of liberalism.

15. And the aftermath won't be pretty either
The loser will be sore, very sore. There will be recriminations, especially if THEY lose.
Yeah.
If Barack Milhous loses, I'm not expecting any gracious concession speech.
And there will be riots, fueled by the most racially-divisive president in American history.

Ya know...
...they tend to call out the National Guard during riots.

My only concern is the seventy some days following the election.
Will Bronco Bama snatch first of the worst from Jimmeh's grasp.

I doubt it. I think he will go on a 70 day whirlwind tour of the world with his family... on the taxpayer dime.

If there are riots, they will be fueled by new LED widescreens, not the jug-eared muslim, and they'll be confined to 0bamaite hellholes.
The savages who riot aren't very political.
As Earl Butz famously observed, they only want loose shoes, tight p***y, and a warm place to shit. If you add bags of weed and LED widescreens, they're in heaven.
The political 0bamaites are too cowardly for violence.

That won't stop him from issuing executive orders, and having his cronies at various agencies doing their damnedest to cripple the US.

When Democrats don't vote, Republicans win.
Thanks Madden!

I'm not celebrating just yet.

I called it a month or so back. I Predicted a Romney rout by about 10 pts. Nothing has happened to make me question the prediction. Way things are breaking out it may even be a larger margin.
Romney in the White house , the Reps retain the majority in the House , Odds are the Dems maintain a majority in the Senate. The Reps in the House are going to have to Blitz the talking head shows and Romney use the bully pulpit to get things done due to Senate blockage on anything good for the country.

Based on all available evidence I think Obama done already bested Jimmy as the worst.

If the Kenyan wins next week, he'll get probably two Supreme Court appointments.
If that happens, you can kiss the Second Amendment goodbye.

The 2nd will be the 1st. The 1st will be 2nd.

+1
Early voting and all, plus some potential blue state disaster shenanigans.

Very true.
Number 2 does protect number 1, afterall.

I fail to see how anyone could be enthused about voting for Mitt Romney
And I fail to see how anyone could be enthused about voting for another 4 years for the jug eared socialist. Yet you goons are. All the howling over the 5% unemployment rates during the Bush years, and now you celebrate 7.8% as some stunning achievement. You people at DUmmyland are insane.

The other day I saw a few signs but today I paid attention because my daughter said when she was out trick or treating that Romney signs were everywhere. So when I was taking her to her riding lessons I looked around, she is right, they are everywhere. I didn't think to take a picture but I will tomorrow. Not one Obama sign.
Be afraid DUmmie, be very afraid.
-
Have yet to see a Bronco Bama sign.
Did see one in N. Carolina during the NASCAR race.
Both of the neighbors had several Romney signs out.
Kinda got a laugh out of that.
I have seen a couple bumper stickersdown this way, but, that's it.
The Romney/Ryan supporters don't do stickers.
That's just an invite to have your personal propery damaged.
-
I still see signs and stickers for Obama, since I live in Massachusetts -
- HOWEVER -
Their numbers are far smaller than 2008, and they only seem to be carried about by limited protected groups, primarily by Prius owners, gay people, and gay Prius owners.

Gay Prius owners is redundant.

Gay Prius owners is redundant.
Yes, it is.
Remember, a Fisker in the livingroom will heat the house for a week.
-
Gay Prius owners is redundant.
Proud2be owns a Prius. She sold her Honda to buy it.
She's too ugly to get laid by anything that walks on two legs unless it was a blind Prius owner.

Why do they have Braille numbers at drive-up ATM machines?

Ask Al Gore. He's the smart one now that Ted is dead.

Actually elections are decided by the Independents.

Gay Prius owners is redundant.
I was going to make a smartass comment - 'no, I'm not referring to the owners, but the gay cars themselves' - then I realized that the comment would be just as redundant.
-If the Kia Soul can have commercials with 'dancing hamsters' , I can't see a reason why Toyota can't make a competing commercial starring a Prius jam-packed with dancing gerbils.

Kinda why my comments are generally short.
Hard to add to what's already been said.
Unless of course, you have a snoot full of beer.
Like tonight. :lmao:
-
Gay Prius owners is redundant.
Hey! My parents own one! (I did tell my dad that he needed a right-wing sticker on it, and he said no, because he didn't want it keyed.) They're about as red voting as one can get.
-
I doubt it. I think he will go on a 70 day whirlwind tour of the world with his family... on the taxpayer dime.
I agree. Nothing will pass Congress anyway, anything done by executive order would be zapped on Day 1 (along will all the other BS he's already done).
Barqui is going to job search at the UN, while the moocher picks out IKEA for their Pritzker financed (read: bought and paid for) .005% mansion getaway in the Islands. Meanwhile there will be riots (to varying degrees) in the cities and Black on white violent crime will soar.
President Romney is going to have his hands full for four ugly years.

The entire stretch of Route 9 is covered with Brown signs, which I thought was genius of him. Huge standouts today in MA for Brown also.
I live in a conservative/independent area of the state, so very few Obama signs if any at all.
-
Actually elections are decided by the Independents.
I have said that for decades, and was obnoxiously hammered by some folks here about that (they are still on ignore) during the primaries.
Moderates decide elections, so candidates better consider them when they stump. It is really that simple. The messiah ran home to his base when he was slaughtered in the first debate which will translate to epic fail.
-

I asked a blind guy what the braille at the ATM said and he said;
"It says; Get out of the drivers seat!"

Same state as you but I would also add in Subaru and Volvo owners to your observations above.

You may be correct thundley. I'm thinking though that the lesser rats will be deserting the obumbles ship faster than a sailor can get his pants off in a whore house after 6 months at sea.
Just my 2 cents.
Besides... it don't really matter about the Exec Ords. Romney will just revoke them. Sadly that is pretty much the way things go now when a pres is on the way out. Clinton was the one that started it.

IMHO, Sandy will hurt 0bama very badly. Every republican I know will crawl over broken glass to get rid of 0bama. It is not the other way for 0bama. Turnout in very blue states of NY, NJ, CN, PA, and MA will be huge in the Rs favor. Brown will keep Vastteddy's seat. McMahon will win in Connecticut. Tom Smith takes Pennsylvania, Tom Kaine will lose in Virgina. Thompson takes Wisconsin. Mandel beats brown in Michigan. Finally Connie Mack takes Florida. All states go to Romney. Don't be too surprised if that Akin fellow wins too.
2010 HAPPENED. Obama is even less popular.

Perhaps a couple of decades ago. The Poser and actual moderates are of such small numbers to be almost insignificant as far as turning an election one way or the other. The election of 2000 being the exception not the rule. For better or worse the country is rather polarized when it comes to political philosophy.

You bring up a good point. What are the early voting breakdowns thus far in the states that Sandy hit? If they lean R, would it be enough to hold off the D's who will vote on Tuesday? How many WILL vote on Tuesday, with all the obvious distraction of digging out and the reassuring thought that O will win regardless?

Aren't the ones that have been hit the hardest all blue states?
-
I don't think it will be all that close, just a hunch. At least before the Democrats start the inevitable recounts that magically increase only their net vote, and before a bunch of previously-unrecorded ballot boxes are 'Found' in the car trunks of various Democrat poll workers, but they'll still lose.
The MSM is dealing in the world they wish existed, not reality, and selling us moon shine and rainbows about their Chosen One. The pollsters are basing their turnout models on 2008. I just think the public is being widely deceived about the true prospects of the Obamites.

I don't think many will get out. Those that do will be thse who don't have to travel far.
There's more BGV on the right side. And, many people who have cleaned up from Sandy (in my opinion) will be disgruntled with how things were handled. They will probably equate that with the incumbents.
Worse yet, Gloomberg had those generators out for the marathon. Gloomberg endorsed Zero. There may be thinking then that the two are the same.
