Cheap dustpan.

after which four images of a milk carton being cut into a dustpan

franksolich just grabs a piece of cardboard or paper; it works.

1. That's pretty good....

should be called "free dustpan", since we don't really buy the milk carton. We just buy the milk and the carton is included.

I like this idea, especially for those really messy jobs that you don't want to ruin a good dustpan on.

^^that's those cases where franksolich just grabs a piece of cardboard or paper.

2. The reason that caught my eye was because all I've ever done is cut the top off one whenever I've needed a paint can. Then, when I was in Cuba a few months back I noticed they don't cut the whole top off to do that - they just make a hole in the upper side opposite the handle which leaves the handle to hold it.

3. People who have little are always creative with the "waste not, want not" philosophy. That is also a good idea.

^^Yeah, that's Cuba all right.

Wouldn't be easier to sweep it out the door, then paddle the concrete off?

Typical liberal thinking. "we don't buy the carton, just the milk ...". Those plastic carton just come free to the milk companies and they pass that savings along to us.

The DUmmie is probably on the government dole so we probably bought his "free" milk carton dust pan also.

Oh!!! You were in a socialist/communist paradise and didn't stay? Why is that? They got free healthcare!!!

Then you noticed what the normal people living in that socialist/communist paradise had to do to make up for the fact they can't go down to the dollar store and buy a cheap dustpan?

I got a proposition for you dummie... as well as the rest of you dummies. You move there, we'll pay for it, and ya all trade places with some of the people that live there so they can come over here. It is a win-win!!!! You get the free health care and other free shit ya all covet and we get some people that will work their asses off to make it in the land of opportunity.

Like I said... it is a win-win!!!  You get what you want, the cubans get what they want!!!

Do it dummies. Do it now.

Any takers?

When I need a dustpan, I just go over to my neighbor's house and nationalize his dustpan.  His dustpan gets spread around that way.

Can afford a trip to Cuba but too cheap to buy a $2 dustpan. Pennywise would be a better user name for the DUmmie.

Once in a great while over the years, a primitive has admitted to going there.

Apparently there's exceptions.

But damn it, the primitives always come back.

What the hell is a "good dustpan"? It is a *dustpan*. Its purpose is to sweep dirt into it. It isn't like fine china or the good silver, that only comes out for company. And they are plastic and very washable.  ::)

What? You weren't issued your VRWC solid gold with platnium inlay logo dustpan? It comes with your employment package. It's the "good" one you use to scoop money off the floor with. Check with HR if you didn't get yours.  :-)

dustpan heh.

I have this fantastic device called a "Vacuum Cleaner". Mine even works as a steam mop as well. Negates the need for a whole cupboard worth of domestic tools.

Daddy ran a country store back in the 50's. We never had a dust pan. I just cut one side out of the cardboard boxes candy came in. The cardboard was thin but sturdy and made a great dust pan.

The business must have been moderately successful though because we did have a turkey feather duster... :-)

I read through your post too fast the first time, and thought you had typed 'sweat mop'.

I don't know if there is such a product, but5 if any primitive has a sweat mop, it would be the Las Vegas Lardass.

Cub Scouts have made things like this for years to raise funds for campouts, supplies, and whatnot - Its nothing new. Dust pans, bird feeders, kitchen funnels, birdhouses.... Though I was only a kid, it seemed to be a fairly easy way to raise extra money -selling things made from trash.

I'm sure the primitives of today would scream about unfair labor practices, child labor laws, etc.

Ooh, good catch, BSS.  How could I forget about Big Steve?

I always wonder if that guy's arm ever rotted off after being drenched in Steve juice.

You know, that photograph's always alarmed me, given my affection for the big guy.

Would people that large have to use concrete posts underneath their beds to keep them up?

I think the big guy seriously needs to go on a diet, and the sooner and the more draconian, the better.

We after all want him to be around a while longer; the sour old know-it-all pompous ass the Las Vegas Leviathan can drop dead in five minutes, and I wouldn't care.  But I do care about my fellow Nebraskan.

Ignorant DUmmy. The milk carton is not free. The cost of packaging is included in the price of the milk.

DUmmy, just try to take that "free milk carton" from the store without paying for it. Just pour the milk onto the floor and walk out with the empty carton. It's not shoplifting, right? After all, you didn't take the milk out of the store, and the carton is free, right?

I'm not even sure I would be able to avoid wincing from the pain that acronym would cause lib/dem/socialists, if I knew what it was.

If more junior high students read it, we may have fewer DUmmies in adulthood.
