Chick-Fil-A Recalling Jim Henson Kids' Meal Toys

Just saw this (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/24/chick-fil-a-jim-henson-toy-recall-gay_n_1699597.html);

Last week, the Jim Henson Company announced it would no longer partner with Chick-fil-A in the wake of the fast food company's acknowledged support of anti-gay organizations. Now, however, Chick-fil-A officials are reportedly telling franchise customers that the kids' meal toys which were produced as part of the now-severed collaboration have been recalled due to safety issues.

A photograph of a sign reportedly displayed at a Chick-fil-A restaurant at the Shops at Willow Bend in Plano, Texas has gone viral on Twitter and the blogosphere. The sign reads as follows:

"We apologize for any inconvenience but as of 7/19/2012 Chick-fil-A has voluntarily recalled all of the Jim Henson's Creature Shop Puppet Kids Meal Toys due to a possible safety issue. Please be advised that there have not been any cases in which a child has actually been injured, however there have been some reports of children getting their fingers stuck in the holes of the puppets."

Got this for sale if anyone believes the toys are being recalled due to safety issues;

And I don't think I wanna touch the fingers getting stuck in holes of puppets line....

The DUmmies and their Partners In Slime may as well give up on this Chick-Fil-A thing.  I tried to take my granddaughter to lunch yesterday at Chick-Fil-A.  There wasn't a parking space to be had. Folks were waiting in line to park whenever a space became available, and the drive-thru was wrapped around the building TWICE.

Let them expend their energy on it.  It'll make them too tired to do anything else.

Better yet, maybe they could start giving out "Rush" action figures with kids meals.  Make their heads s'plode.

Next step, the kids in the drive thru will be threatened by people like DU.

With all the talk about it yesterday, I decided to go there for lunch. My Chick-Fil-A is always crowded too but the staff is so nice and the food was soooo yummy. Chargrilled chicken sandwich with honey roasted BBQ sauce, waffle fries, and a Diet Coke. The secret ingredient was liberal outrage and it tasted delicious.

Chic-fil-a is getting a lot of publicity out of this deal. And it hasn't been near as negative as whoever the first news"breaker" anticipated.

It's a private family owned company, very religious - they are closed on Sundays, and they are also very strong community supporters - to what THEY want to support. They have a bunch of high school kids working for them, that are very neat in appearance and the most polite kids I have ever seen working in fast food. Most of the kids at the ones here either attend the Christian Academy or Catholic HS.

They are a bit overpriced in my opinion for what you get, but the chicken is good, and they have the best lemonade - regular or diet-  of any fast food joint around!!

Good for them for standing by THEIR values and not caving in to political correctness. I don't think they are going to lose as many customers as Henson may be hoping they will, by breaking their "partnership".

I didn't give up yesterday.  I knew of a mall food court that has a Chick-Fil-A.  We went there.  It was busy too, so we waited our turn.  Yes, it was yummy stuff and worth the hassle.  I will eat at Chick-Fil-A a lot more often.

I don't think they are going to lose any customers. The people who would boycot already were boycotting because they are a christian company.

I've always enjoyed Chik-Fil-A. Great sandwiches, and really friendly, helpful staff.

I started eating there after Wendy's decided to enter the "worst french fries in the world" competition.

From now on, though, I'll associate Chik-Fil-A with that shudder-inducing baby word, "y***y".

I guess it's back to McDonald's. No one will ever call them y***y.

Oh stop.  And besides, Arby's won the worst french fry in the world contest.

The amount of anguish and energy expended by the DUmbasses over Chick-Fil-A is astounding.  It must keep them up nights.

Welcome back, old man. You were missed.

I don't believe we have one of these stores here in Madison. I do think I ate there once or twice when I was at Redstone Arsenal.

I just "liked" Chick-Fil-A on facebook. I'm wondering how long my wingnut friends will go until they comment...

I'm sorry, and may get guff for this, but I LOVE Arby's curly fries. I could eat them by the truck load.

Also, I feel left out. I've never had Chick-Fil-A. Though, if there's one in Madison next time I go, I'm going to try it.

That was brilliantly funny, and the DUmmies will never get it.

Arby's and Jack In The Box have the same curly fries.

They're not very good.

Arby's curly fries are an abomination, but Wendy's new fries, which I think are made from slivers of tree bark, make curly fries a gourmet delight by comparison.
