Not anymore.
Disrespecting the Commander in Chief while we have troops engaged in war.
Shame!

Ryan Zinke, Former Navy SEAL, Creates Anti-Obama 'Special Operations For America' Super PAC
snips...
Ryan Zinke, a GOP state senator and former Navy SEAL commander, announced the launch of a new super PAC this week, designed to oppose President Barack Obama.
Zinke current serves in Montana's state legislature and was once a member of SEAL Team 6, the elite group of special operations forces that was responsible for carrying out the mission to kill al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden. The 23-year SEAL veteran says his super PAC, Special Operations for America, will provide members of the special forces community an outlet to channel the frustrations they have with president.
With the creation of his new political body, Zinke has been speaking out again about Obama's handling of the bin Laden mission and the military in general.
"Who was it at risk? Was it the president? Or was it the young SEAL with the wife and kid at home?" he said, according to USA Today. "That's the arrogance."
“It’s time to stop President Obama from negotiating away our freedoms and our ability to win on the battlefield," Zinke told the Daily Inter Lake. "For those who have an oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and domestic, it is a call of duty to take back America from a commander-in-chief that is incapable of understanding the sacrifices that have been made for the values that have made America great.â€

eta name of superpac
What is the problem, he is retired, he has every right to free speech as DUmpmonkey.
Just trying to spearhead the effort to shut sombody else up.
I think you simpltons, once again, ignored the high ground to make your stand in the valley.
Most of the rest of this is the usual "show me DD214!!" but this d00d is cute.

Army Special Forces are the best. I was on a joint exercise once in Norway where we worked with a SEAL team. The "finest sailors in the world" foundered their ****ing boats!

5. You know, if even HALF the people who claimed to be SEALS really were....
We'd be able to field the Equivalent of 15 Infantry Divisions of SEALs alone.

Of course, most back down and apologize long before we get to the last part.

13. He is a civilan now, right?
So any standard that applied to him while in the military no longer does.
He is now free and clear, even if I disagree with him, to express his opinion, and damn it, he earned that right.
I realize this will not be popular here, but live with it. Once you leave the service, you can talk smack about the CiC, and anybody else in government.
OH...MY...GOSH!?! :panic:

Gee I wonder if he's real?
Here he is getting the Bronze Star. http://www.whitefishpilot.com/articles/2006/08/03/news/news03.txt
Here's Commander Zinke. http://www.iraqvetsforcongress.com/posts/commander-ryan-k-zinke-us-navy-seal-retired
there's a ton of evidence that he's the real deal. Now as for arbusto_baboso all we appear to have is a bunch of BS I was special forces posts on DU.
I can use Google just like Nads (http://www.google.com/#q=%22arbusto_baboso%22+special+forces+site:democraticunderground.com&hl=en&prmd=imvns&ei=G2oIUJyHL8Hy0gHzncXLAw&start=30&sa=N&fp=1&biw=1510&bih=817&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb&cad=b)
In 2008 he claims that he's in his early 40's was a Captain and in Panama (1989) and Desert Storm. Reading his posts he sounds like another Boo or TiT. He does admit to reading a lot of books about the special forces so that may be the extent of his experience.
-
No one at DU is what they claim when it comes to serving. Everyone has been found to be a fake over there.
-
Good Lord. Nadin gets one right! Maybe there is something to this 2012 Apocalypse bullshit after all!

Hope everyone knows that his DU name translates into "stupid (baboso) bush (arbusto)" since Spanish phrases are reversed.
I bet he's read a lot about it, or washed out.

14. Having never served in the military ...
I have made an observation:
I have met a bunch of folks that claim to have been Navy Seals or other Special Ops folks; but the only one that I KNOW was a Seal (a close friend from high-school), never talks about it.
He will tell you he is a veteran and that he served in the Navy; but he never says what he did ... ever ... even during testoterone filled drunken sprees.

And they will admit to it, but like you said, not speak of the actual experience. Some missions are classified.
Now what they can talk about, they do, with both my husband and I, but in private, and only because we have shared some of the lovely experience.
Wait . . . what??? Is Nadin trying to claim she was a Navy SEAL now????? :rotf:
-
One of my ormer FTO's was in Special Forces.
Was relunctant to talk about anything dealing with it.

..Huh..
I wonder whatever happened to the phrase 'conscientious objector' ? Like the mythical 'Pogs' ,conscientious objectors simply ceased to be all at once - Its as if they never actually existed at all. I wonder why ?

Man, is this going to look good on her resume.

I don't recall any of my missions when I was in the military as being "lovely."

OH SHUT THE ****ING **** UP FOR ONCE IN YOUR MISERABLE BALD-HEADED, FAT-ASSED, LYING BITCH LIFE!!!
JESUS H. TAPDANCING CHRIST!!!!
Your husband should have ****ing shot your ass out Tube 4 on a dependents cruise, you sow. I'd LOVE to have been in the goat locker listening to the rest of the Chiefs ride his ass without mercy for having a ****ing shrew like you for a wife.
Please, at least tell me you had the good taste never to show up on the pier at the end of a Westpac wearing a see-through white dress and no underwear like half the other wives. I don't think the linehandlers topside would have been able to keep their breakfasts down, and the ORSE team would have failed the nukes for sure just on seeing your hideous visage.
As the old saw goes coming back off deployments, "I'm gonna **** her brains out," to which your husband could have replied, "Done, and I've never touched her pimply ass."

Numbnuts--I'm on a board that does a LOT of "outing" of fakes.

Come on over. Bring your scanned 214. Or we can just do an FOIA. Either works.

Chuck Schantag passed away earlier this year, but his widow Mary is still keeping up over at POWNETWORK.ORG.
And Jonn and the gang at TAH are AWESOME at outing the phonies. In fact, there's a "tournament" being held starting this week.

I'll check it out.

There is still provision for them in the regs, but the need to exercise the process dropped off to a trickle after the end of conscription. Once in a blue moon there is still a legitimate mid-life epiphany or conversion case, more often though it's some doctor or nurse whose education was paid for trying to scam out of the service obligation they incurred for the education, or some other random poser who had been free-riding the military benefit train but was shocked into an attack of conscience when actual "Wars" where he might get "Killed" or otherwise grossly inconvenienced came up.

I thought "arbusto" looked familiar. I haven't used Spanish since Honduras.
Thanks!!

One of my best friends was a LRRP (75th Rangers), 4th ID in the Central Highlands. He talked with a very select few of us. Sometimes, he laughed so hard about some of the hairier sh*t, I though he was gonna cry.
Never with a pure civilian.

Get some, Jimmy. Wherever you are.

Tell me about it. I used to work with the HPSP program while I was in Bethesda. Come that 4th year of medical school all the gay, conscientious objectors would come out of the woodwork.

Must not be that good...you never did any about TomInTib when he was there or that ass clown 11Bravo that's there now at the DUmp clearly lying about his service.

Given the pictures we've had posted here I'd say that seal is more likely than SEAL.
