Not two minutes ago a moron co-worker comes up to me
He's a well known repuke/ ball licker.
My building, where I work in Austin, over looks the Austin Music Hall.
President Obama is speaking there tomorrow. Sadly, I can't go.
Anyway, this moron sidles up to me and says, "you know this would make a great vantage point".
I'm confused right off the bat, I'm thinking, sure this is a great view to see the President, but this moron is right wing.
So I say, "what do you mean?"
He says, "well you would have a clear shot" And he makes the hand gesture of a gun.
The I say, "at whom?" I'm just about ready to speed dial the Secret Service.
Then he says, "well, you know...(long pause)"
"No. I don't", my blood is beginning to boil a this moment. "tell me".
Then he looks me in the eyes, (he's not a bright person, but I think something clicked). "just, you know, anyone".
Then I say, "if you have something to say, say it".
Then he says, "well, you know he has a big contract out on him"
"On Whom?" I kept pressing.
Then he finally says, "the president".
If I wasn't at work, I would have punched him in the mouth, but instead I said, "so are you advocating shooting the president?"
It was at this point, I think it dawned on him that 1) he was certainly speaking to the wrong person 2) I wouldn't have hesitated for a moment to call the Secret Service and finally 3) that he was a colossal jackass.
He then coughs stumbles through some bullshit unintelligible something than finally says, "oh no, no not at all".
then I just looked at him, like the filth that he is and said, "I'm done with this conversation. Don't speak to me again unless it regards something to do with work."
He exclaims, "me too!" and walks away.

The Secret Service is aware of the thread -- I have discussed it with them. They advised me to remove the thread.
That is all.

ON EDIT: There is no need to rec this thread. I just put this up so you all would know where Javaman's thread went.
SECOND EDIT: To those of you who are curious: Javaman did not post anything inappropriate. He shared a story about something inappropriate his co-worker said.
Response to RagAss (Reply #104)Mon Jul 16, 2012, 07:01 PMRiiiiiight. Javaman can't follow up because he's working with the Secret Service to bring the rethug to justice. :bs:

I presume he did the correct thing. I hope that he cannot post because he's being interviewed by Secret Service. Unless, the Secret Service -- possibly understandably -- asks him not to follow up, I imagine he will post a follow-up.
If he doesn't, do not bust his chops about it. Many of us old timers would gladly vouch for his integrity.
Plus, two DUers in this very thread have indicated that they have called this in.
Nevertheless, we all are -- like National Enquirer readers -- enquiring minds.
And thanks for your service here, Javaman.
Let's look at some of the things that seem out of place in this story.
1) The moonbat has a job.
2) The moonbat remains so quiet concerning politics at the job that the repuke didn't even know he was a moonbat.
3) The repuke, and not the moonbat, suggests violence against a political figure.
4) The moonbat, instead of ranting and raving like a lunatic, remains calm and stern.

They're a great bunch, but don't question their patriotism.
I wonder of Skimmer has a direct hotline to the Secret Service.

That is probably a lie also - he just wanted the thread deleted.
Of course it is copied here for the SS to review. :-)
I wonder of Skimmer has a direct hotline to the Secret Service.No/ Its the other way around. DU is infamous for making death threats against President Bush. Hence DU is on a subversive website watch list.
Will Javaman falsely accuse an innocent man to the SS?
So, your response to a potential assassin is to shame him in front of the retards on DU?
He probably has them on speed dial, and has a certain agent that he speaks with personally.
One of the lessons JavaDUmmy might take home from this has two parts:
Don't get into political discussions with coworkers while at work.
After ignoring part 1, don't make posts on a public forum while at work.
Whatever company he works for - McDonald's, Starbucks, Walmart - is not paying hime for those activities.
Are our esteemed guests from Texas? Not Texas.....Austin. The San Francisco of Texas. Their unofficial motto is "Keep Austin Weird".
That is probably a lie also - he just wanted the thread deleted.

Error
That post cannot be found.
:rotf:Can't wait to hear that bouncy. How many SS members will it take to take the co-worker down? How many more will cower in fear as they hear taunts of "fascist pig" and " Stormtrooper" and other bigoted epithets from our brave hero? How calm and rational will he be in the face of "the man"?
Enjoy the SS at your place of work tomorrow, Javaman.
Should the thread here be deleted too being that the SS told DU to remove it?
Shucks, now why do you want to go and spoil our fun, Bally? :hammer::-)
I'm sorry, it's just a serious matter when the Secret Service is involved.
It would be interesting to see if the OP talks about the SS coming to visit.
I'm sure the next bouncy tale will involve the coworker being gone for a couple of days then coming back to work contrite, apologetic and with his tale between his legs. And singing the praises of the mighty Zero (with the rim ripped off)

You know for the left being so tolerant of people they sure do make alot of crude jokes that are insulting to homosexuals. They act like licking balls is a bad thing. Are they saying that underneath it all homosexuality is an insult?
The I say, "at whom?" I'm just about ready to speed dial the Secret Service.
If the isp goes to the DUmmies work place (I know I'm assuming a lot but, work with me here) & it actually is near where the POTUS is going to be, I'm expecting some serious shit hitting the fan.
The retard will have to think of another big whopper of a lie to clear himself.
Wonder what the penalty is for making up a story and lying to the Secret Service. I'd like to have a good vantage point to see that discussion.

Nah, it will be one mans word against another. No proof anything like that was said.
To twist this further, this Java dude will next post this, that---
The SS did come to interview me and when they looked out the window the two made quick calls to someone. They thanked me for pointing out a serious breech in security. These floors will be locked down when Obama is in the area.
All the workers crowded around cheering me and then a Cop jumped out of an elevator to shake my hand.

What's that great line from Men In Black? When being questioned about having a sense of humor, Tommy Lee said "not that we are aware of mam".Nads knows the Secret Service and their humor level. In this thread where Skimmer tells us he deleted the Javaman thread
http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=959675there is this, perhaps trying to lighten the tone, but who really knows what they are thinking - in any event, we'll find out that Nads knows better

I certainly hope for Javaman's sake that his little tale is true, because if its a bouncy, the only thing that will be bouncing are Javaman's nuts once they meet up with a steel-toed boot at an accelerated speed.
Remember - the way DU is now hypersensitive to assaulting the president, (not so much during the Bush years) this story qualifies as 'planting the idea' in some idiot's skull by their own decree. Therefore Javaman is guilty of a crime.
I can only suppose this is why other DUmmies are vouching for him.
You're kidding, right? :rofl:No. The DUmmies have been showering Javaman and the Skimmer with all sorts of love ever since the DU-J's original post, and on through the one by the Skimmer. Would they now turn their back on him after all these expressions of 'how great thou art'?

Obama has our back - be sure we have his!
We've been deluged with Homeland Security "If you see something, say something!", but sometimes when you see something, you really do need to say something!
Kudos to Javaman for reporting a threat to the Secret Service.
The part about the cop jumping out of the elevator to shake his hand made me laugh. That must be the new type of hedges. :lmao:
I also agree that falsifying a report to the Secret Service is no laughing matter. They will take it very seriously.
I believe you put too much faith in Civil Service. Sure they take a report seriously, while dissusing this at strip clubs and refusing to pay a hooker while on the job to personally protect the President.
Get real, the only way to get the SS to investigate one out of 100,000 threats is to send them a nude photo and a link to family over seas. May get responce or not, there are so many threats out there.
This is not the days of the movies, most SS spend their lives behind computer and what ever they find is seldom worth the money to investigate.
send them a nude photo

I was one of the responders to Javaman's post.
What was telling is that he didn't respond. I thought that it meant that he did the right thing and reported it.
Little did I, let alone other DUers, know that Javaman, Skinner, and undoubtedly others had things well in hand.
It is just another example of the social responsibility that DU bears. Having been part of the thread makes me proud to be a DUer. Although I agree that it should be deleted, I also think it is one of the proudest moments in DU history.

Thank you, Javaman. Thank you, Skinner. Thank you to all who stood tall and supported a long-lived compatriot, Javaman. This is what DU is about.
Humbled by the collective intelligence here, I bow at your heals. This is DU at its best.

What's Obama doing in Texas anyway? Makes as much sense as Romney going to California.
Now that's just mean.

That post from longship was so ridiculous, so over-the-top, so nauseating, I don't know what to say. Bow at your heals....WTF. :loser:Remember, Karin.
Some DUmmies think Obama can flip Texas to a blue state. They must be counting on the voter ID law being stopped and all the illegals voting for Obama.

Not really my dear, picture this.
I send a naked pictures of Helen Tomas wearing a garter belt and fish net hose to the SS. Include a threat to Obama, It will take 18 months before the SS can find an agent with the balls to actually visit me.
Far as I am conserned, if I wish to send naked pictures of myself --ALA Patty Hurst with a machine gun----
now what??? SS on the look out for a naked old lady in the crowd toting a machine gun ? :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Has Javaman spoken about this at all?

mouthing off about Obama. After some discussion, Javaman realized that he was describing a real threat, and called the Secret Service. A lot of people were posting in the thread without realizing that Javaman had made the call.
Kudos to Javaman, an example for the rest of us!
God forbid someone assassinate the bastard....50 years on and the dems are still passing stuff in the name of JFK....shoot Obama in TEXAS...oh hell no, don't do it. You know Bush would get all the credit.

Here's the problem with your stories DUmmies and javaman in particular...they're fake. When we talk about this stuff there is credible verifiable proof to back it up.
You just make up shit throw it on the wall and hope it sticks.
I wonder if that one was reported to the Secret Service? It wouldn't surprise me one bit if the Secret Service was already monitoring that site. Wouldn't it be something if they had moles there? :lmao:
Yes they monitor the site. They've visited DU offices in D.C. on at least three occasions. Any time you see a reference to "Agent Mike"...that's their stupid code that they think the government is monitoring them.
The last time I know of for sure they got a warning from the Secret Service was when someone photoshopped a bombsight over the center of the main house at Crawford Ranch.
I am glad they are monitoring the site....
And I suspect these days this administration monitors sites like this one.
In a way, that wouldn't surprise me either.
Boobiezzzzz
Some DUmmies think Obama can flip Texas to a blue state. They must be counting on the voter ID law being stopped and all the illegals voting for Obama.
I fear that Texas is turning blue due to liberal policies. These companies in states like CA that are closing shop and moving to Texas are also bringing some of their liberal employees! The damage that was done in the state they left, due to their voting, is being brought to our state.

Obama probably doesn't realize that Texas extends West of Brady and Llano.
Which means he's like Texas Liberals...too scared to come out to where the REAL Texans are.
There's a reason the entire state with a couple small exceptions is bright red.
True, Texas is big, but the population centers are what control the vote. DFW, Austin, San Antonio & Houston. All are turning EXTREMELY Liberal due to the influx of damned Yankees from the NE coast & the fruits & nuts from Commiefornia......
They might be shifting a little bit...but the Dems seem terrified of coming to W. Teas...to me that's part of the reason Republicans control most of the state. Our County (on the Coastal Bend) has gone from about 50/50 20 years ago to literaly 95R - 06 D this year. All but one local seat (sheriff) is uncontested. We have a lot of Hispanics voting R who take pride in themselves & their work.
