1. whoa! 10 MILLION of Union Dues down the drain supporting Falk
Jeez, what a blowout.
Indydem
3. And the poison
Falk and co. have spent a lot of time selling the idea that Barrett is no better than Walker because of his strong arming unions into concessions.
Some OL folks may not turn out in June because of the contentious primary.
dejo1957
5. Well, I bet old ED SCHULTZ and JOHN NICHOLS are crapping loose ones right now.
ED and his buddy Nichols are the primary pushers for all this spending on Falk. Nice job blowing all those union dues ed.

Only 4 weeks until the DUmp implodes when Scott Walker remains in his job. :rotf:

I think I'm just as excited about the Wisconsin election as I am the Presidential election LOL.
How do the Unions recover from this? they threw all their money to a candidate that lost and the Dem candidate basically ran away from the Unions.

I went on a job interview with a company that has a union. Joining the union in GA is strictly voluntary. If I get the job (and I'm feeling pretty good about it), I refuse to join the union. I DO NOT want ANY of my money going toward candidates that I oppose.

How indeed? Vicki McKenna was always talking about how Madison was the hill the Unions chose to fight and die on back when all this started in January of 2011.

I thought Walker ran uncontested, I didn't know he had an opponent. The most recent results:
Republicans (2 running) 474,017
Democrats (5 running) 473,376

Walker FTW

Stay in your hell DUmmies.

It was actually some sort of occupier/commie who got his name on the ballet. But in general, the news media emphasized it as a Democrat primary.
I voted for Walker today...Again. And I'll happily do it again in a month.

It will be interesting to see how DU3 handles elevated DUMPCON ratings. I'm sure Skins is seeing the recall election as a readiness test for November.

19. Should we be concerned that

Should we be concerned that Walker got more votes than all the Dem candidates put together?
Approximately 330K vs. 314K?
(9:30PM numbers. It ought to change by morning.)
I'm not sure. On one hand, that may just about be the top end of Walker's support, as AM radio, et. al. have been whipping their mob into a frenzied pack of beasts. I mean every old angry rethug in Greendale was out voting today. While on the other hand, I know a lot of Dems who skipped the primary since their plan is to vote for whoever wins anyways. Also, there's 9K of Arthur Kohl Riggs support that was probably (D) voting generally, bringing the D total up to around 323K. I hope that explains the difference. Maybe also the fact that Senate primaries were in some pretty red districts? If some blue districts had senate primaries would that shift it? I mean, in my little heart I had hoped that everyone who signed the recall petition would vote in the primaries and we'd see like twice as many D votes as R votes cast. But alas, as I write this edit, the gap is widening in Walkers favor. PUKE. But, back to the other hand, a million people DID sign the petition. If the primary has a low turnout, so be it, they ought to vote in the general, right?
So I don't know whether to be concerned or not. But I think I should be. I mean even in a primary he wasn't really opposed in, Walker was getting more voters to the polls than the Dem candidates altogether. That scares the crap out of me. As my doomed-to-be-unrequited-love Rachel Maddow says: Talk me down!

Only one week left until Socialist Steve Dawes either goes down to a crushing, humiliating defeat, or takes a huge step on his road to the White House.
He has one big presidentiial campaign advantage already.
With a glance, you can see he's never had a $400 haircut, or even a comb.

I honestly do not know. I haven't seen any election results, just news stories saying Walker won handily.
Oh, I should emphasize I live in Madison and other than Walker, there were no other Republicans on the ballet around here and that is what I was talking about. Only about 30% of us vote Republican in Madison and I am not sure if that number can be extrapolated.
I'm guessing where state senators were being recalled there was a high turnout. But I don't really know what the numbers are. I should have made it clear I was commenting on local media. It's that whole Madison thing were we think we are the center of the universe. I guess it affects all of us here.

They've thrown everything into this race. This is ground zero in their minds. We have to prevail otherwise the crooked got unions power will not be challenged again. WI is the battleground that is leading up to this fall. Help if you can. This is big and will have implications this fall.

:rotf:
You guys are big f-ing losers. Wisconsin union members, you get exactly what you deserve. :)
-
Here are the final results. Looks like the DUmmies, liberals, and the union thugs are the big losers. I'm wondering how they will try to spin this?
Democrat Votes
✔ Tom Barrett 390,109 58.20%
Kathleen Falk 228,940 34.16%
Kathleen Vinehout 26,926 4.02%
Doug La Follette 19,461 2.90%
Gladys Huber 4,842 0.72%
Republican Votes
✔ Scott Walker 626,538 96.92%
Arthur Kohl-Riggs 19,920 3.08%

I voted for Falk and "fake" dem for Lt. Gov.
I am sure some other people did the same thing or voted for another of the candidates. So Walker's support in state could be even larger.
The unions were the big losers in this. They are the ones that started this recall crap and now the person they threw their money on has lost...big. The person they are stuck with, Barrett, has stated publicly that the ACT 10 reforms Walker pushed for and the reason for the recalls did not go far enough. He wanted the Fire and Police unions to be affected by it as well. The dem running for Lt. Gov is head of a Fire union so it should make the next month interesting watching them dance around that should the press bring up that issue.

You aint seen nothing yet. June 5th is the day of the recall election. I expect a lot of DUmmies to go into diabetic comas as they eat bag after bag of Cheetos trying to fill that hole the election loss created in their souls.

Oh, I think that from June 5th all the way through November is going to be one dark cloud for liberal DUmbasses.

A funny thing that I noticed: A sane person invests money in hopes for a good return or one that at least breaks even. These union assclowns blew 10 million on one candidate out of four, what do you think they were expecting in return? I know most of us here are sharp enough to make the connection that the unions want more union drones lining the union boss's pockets to keep electing corrupt officials, but I wonder if the above quoted DUmbass knows what he/she/it has just admitted - that it really is not for the "rights" of the workers, it's for more dues money to throw at democrat politicians.

I think most of them are blind to the fact that the unions don't really give a flying f**k about them.

Yeah, my point was more rhetorical than inquisitive. :-)

Poor DUmp Monkeys! Kinda brings a tear to yer eye, don't it? NOT
I think most of them are blind to the fact that the unions don't really give a flying f**k about them.
I find it amazing that the taxpayers are payin' for these cushy government union jobs and they make more money than those footin' the bill. If the people of WI don't see that, they deserve what they get!

Yeah, I was just trying to help out any DUmmie lurkers. I'm not sure if they understand the whole rhetorical thing. :-)

I've been getting ready to party that day.

What has been ignored by the DUmmies about this story thus far? If a "million +" people wanted the recall how come only 60% of those people showed up?
I see two reasons why:
1. The recall petitions were rife with fraud and the number of valid signatures was much lower than a million.
or
2. The early petition signers realized that Walker's reforms are working or are not as bad as the Blue Fisters said they were.

Reason 1 is the correct conclusion. Dems are dishonest scumbags by their very nature or they wouldn't be Dems. I doubt you could find any election or signature drive that Dems DID NOT load up with fraud. This applies nationwide.

Their enthusiasm may cool a little bit since the unions' hand-picked surrogate lost in the primary.

The union's long-time grip on taxpayer's wallets is finally being wrestled back into their rightful owners hands.
As one could easily predict, if you give an employee the freedom to not be forced into a union and having to pay dues, they'll choose to be free. And that's exactly whats happening. The results of the primary show the union's influence on it's members has faded. They're quickly becoming irrelevant.
Instead of signing petitions and recalling the Gov, these thankless public employees should praising him.

Its time the organized criminal racket of unions be stopped. If king for a day I would completely remove any and all abilities of government workers to unionize. No collective bargaining rights at all for the public sector. Its a conflict of interest that even the tyrant FDR couldn't stomach.
As for private unions... they can still operate, but there will be no more forcing membership, or extracting dues from anyone that does not want to join. Any intimidation will be dealt with under RICO, and I would enforce it fully. I would have no problem throwing these jerks in jail if they threaten, harass, or intimate anyone that refuses to cave in to union demands. Membership must be purely voluntary.

Gloom, despair and agony on me...
Rasmussen has released the first post-primary poll of the recall election in Wisconsin, and it looks like Scott Walker, not Democrat Tom Barrett, got the coveted post-primary bounce:
Embattled Republican Governor Scott Walker holds a five-point lead over his newly nominated Democratic challenger Tom Barrett in Wisconsin’s special recall election.
A new Rasmussen Reports statewide telephone survey shows that 50% of the state’s Likely Voters prefer Walker while 45% choose Barrett. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate and another two percent (2%) are undecided.
-
So you think a lot of Republicans might've just stayed home?
A lot of Republicans probably thought that it was only a democrat primary. My boss didn't go vote, for that reason. I voted for Walker and the fake Lt. Governor. I was so relieved to see Walker stomp the fake Republican--my fear was that Republicans wouldn't show up and democrats would vote for the Republican faker. But my fears were quickly put to rest. I live in central Wisconsin and there are Support Governor Walker signs everywhere! Very few Recall Walker signs.
