We already know that the green movement is pretentious and annoying. Now it appears that the green movement also has a sick and macabre side as well. Alex Green, an artist with a delightfully convenient name, was inspired to create her “Twin Teddy Kit†for a special design exhibition featuring “sustainable play design†called “Doing It For The Kids.†The exhibition was sponsored by [re]design, a green design website, as well as some corporate sponsors who must not have realized how far some people are willing to take the notion of “sustainable.†Not to mention what some people might think is appropriate for children to play with.

I already knew the answer to my question, but that option was more favorable than the link in the OP. GRODY!

This would be funny if it weren't so damned sick and revolting.

Sounds a lot more exciting than it really is. A long time ago, when the internet was invented, my boyfriend, and my best friend roomed with another one of my best friends. This one guy had a girlfriend that was annoyingly prude. She had a key to the house and would come do her homework (college) on Lee's pc, before he would come home from work. My boyfriend and my other buddy set it up to the grossest thing they could imagine- quadriplegic midget porn, and invited me over for an afternoon happy hour. We just sat in the living room and waited. Sure enough, she shows up, he shows up, they get on the pc, and blammo! Never saw what they had loaded on the pc, but the reactions, they were priceless!

BS for appreciation, and parity. :-) This story happened well over 10 years ago, and I remember it like it was yesterday. It's one of my favorites.

Oi. That teddy thing is a good example of what happens when a wasichu tries to go native.
Some of the plains Indians that I know keep a small section of their own umbilical cord put into the small bag with a turtle picture beaded on it. It's called their "twin." There's a whole bunch of how it got started and why, and who does it and who doesn't.
Friends of mine had a baby born in Jackson, WY. The poor doc tried to be culturally sensitive and packaged up the whole darn cord and presented the husband with it. Tony said thanks.
I wonder if that doc started this nonsense.
