We are all aware that the GOP is filibustering Judicial nominees , an act they all told us violates the US Constitution....
At least they admit their hate for the US Constitution.
http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2011/12/07/383727/gop-senators-slam-senate-gop-filibuster-of-judicial-nominee-as-unconstitutional/?mobile=nc
•Lamar Alexander (R-TN): “I would never filibuster any President’s judicial nominee, period. I might vote against them, but I will always see they came to a vote.â€
•Saxby Chambliss (R-GA) and Johnny Isakson (R-GA):“Every judge nominated by this president or any president deserves an up-or-down vote. It’s the responsibility of the Senate. The Constitution requires it.â€
•Tom Coburn (R-OK): “If you look at the Constitution, it says the president is to nominate these people, and the Senate is to advise and consent. That means you got to have a vote if they come out of committee. And that happened for 200 years.â€
•John Cornyn (R-TX): “We have a Democratic leader defeated, in part, as I said, because I believe he was identified with this obstructionist practice, this unconstitutional use of the filibuster to deny the president his judicial nominations.
•Mike Crapo (R-ID): “Until this Congress, not one of the President’s nominees has been successfully filibustered in the Senate of the United States because of the understanding of the fact that the Constitution gives the President the right to a vote.â€
•Lindsey Graham (R-SC): “I think filibustering judges will destroy the judiciary over time. I think it’s unconstitutionalâ€
•Chuck Grassley (R-IA): “It would be a real constitutional crisis if we up the confirmation of judges from 51 to 60, and that’s essentially what we’d be doing if the Democrats were going to filibuster.â€
•Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX): “[T]he Constitution envisions a 51-vote majority for judgeships…. [Filibustering judges] amend the Constitution without going through the proper processes…. We have a majority rule that is the tradition of the Senate with judges. It is the constitutional requirement.â€
•Jon Kyl (R-AZ): “The President was elected fair and square. He has the right to submit judicial nominees and it is the Senate’s obligation under the Constitution to act on those nominees.â€
•Mitch McConnell (R-KY): “The Constitution of the United States is at stake. Article II, Section 2 clearly provides that the President, and the President alone, nominates judges. The Senate is empowered to give advice and consent. But my Democratic colleagues want to change the rules. They want to reinterpret the Constitution to require a supermajority for confirmation.â€
•Jeff Sessions (R- AL): “[The Constitution] says the Senate shall advise and consent on treaties by a two-thirds vote, and simply ‘shall advise and consent’ on nominations…. I think there is no doubt the Founders understood that to mean … confirmation of a judicial nomination requires only a simple majority vote.â€
•Richard Shelby (R-AL): “Why not allow the President to do his job of selecting judicial nominees and let us do our job in confirming or denying them? Principles of fairness call for it and the Constitution requires it.â€
•John Thune (SD): Filibustering judicial nominees “is contrary to our Constitution …. It was the Founders’ intention that the Senate dispose of them with a simple majority vote.â€

Quoting GOP senators is "trolling" ?

I'll care when you apologize to Janice Rogers Brown.
I'll demand the GOP stops when the dems vow never to employ the tactic as they did for so many years.
Yes, judges ought to get straight up or down votes but I refuse to unilaterally disarm.

The Dems don't think filibustering a judge is unconstitutional , they don't have any hypocrisy on this issue , it's the GOP who admit they are violating the constitution.
I thought you guys cared about the US Constitution ?

Anybody ? ... can anybody answer this question ? ...
"Using the logic from the GOP , are they violating the constitution when they filibuster a judge ?"
-
I thought you guys cared about the US Constitution?
So you're admitting the dems don't care about the Constitution.
And we got it on film.
Now, since the COTUS says each house writes its own rules the aforementioned quotes are probably bluster by the GOP. The only way the GOP could violate the COTUS would be if they violated the rules of the Senate.
Speaking of which...when Harry Reid going to pass a budget?

The Constitution doesn't outlaw the filibuster. The GOP are confused , to say the least , filibustering is 100% constitutional.

Not at all. But coming into somebody's house without introducing yourself is.

If the answer is a man, you are the perfect liberal. :rotf:

The messiah declares the Senate in recess in January to appoint absolute nonsense (pssst, they weren't in recess) and is now whining the GOP is taking too long to approve his hack appointments to a lifetime public feeding trough?
Oh for shame GOP. For shame.

Sparky there are many straights living in Key West, to assume that a person that lives there that is married and a Vegan is gay is quite a leap.
Perhaps this person had watched the flash too often, who knows they do live in the Bermuda Triangle you know, odd things do happen there.
You have heard of Ogunquit Maine, the area that is so inundated by Gays , the Canadian female tourists had to stop sun bathing on the beach topless as the Gays complained ??? Oh yes I remember now it was the straight year round residence that found it offensive. Gay OK, they had more money to spend then tourest females with no top on the beach, it was a moral problem.
AHHHH, Key West, to live aboard a house boat there and fish for supper. A dream for retirees and the young folk that camp in the back of the golf course.
Vesta Decoder ring still on sale.
-
What a complete and absolute moron.
This is what the Fabianists calls a "useless eater" and he's one of their own.

I simply assume every "liberal atheist vegan" from Key West is gay.
I'm not God. I'm not going to go looking for one Lot in Sodom.

Yes, by the same logic of the troll's argument, if the Dems see no problem with doing it themselves, they have no reason to complain if the GOP gives them tit for tat with it even though many in the GOP find the technique distasteful themselves. What goes around, comes around.

Can you show me where a republican says it's unconstitutional? I didn't see it in your OP. Thanks!
All you've been doing is lying and distorting. Are you sure this is the right place for you?

Bingo. It's here to troll. Pure and simple. It's been engaged on multiple fronts, it's been presented link after link and it ignores 98% of it. It repeats itself -- the same lib meme.
It's simply a troll that should not be fed.

Hey dudes and dudettes, he just said he was married. I don't remember him saying the other half was female. You know, we are talking about Key West here, don't you?
