Democrats grow confident of House win

It is still February and anything can happen. Gas prices are going up for sure, which increases the possibility of a recession.
-
Nothing going on in my district or the adjoining ones that would make that even a remote possibility, I suspect they're smoking crack again.
-
Gotta register with FT to see the article.
I'd say this is the kind of substanceless shit that the MSM will continue to bray and trumpet as the election gets closer and closer.
Way, waaaaay too many voters will start to believe that shit and jump on the bandwagon -- probably not in Texas County, DAT, but elsewhere in Moonbatdom.
-
Yeah, we are on our own program, true, and none too sold on the idea that this 'E pluribus unum' stuff is actually turning out all that well so far. However, I am really not picking up on any groundswell movement like the TEA Party nationally that would give the DUmbocrats any real reason to support this kind of hope, it sounds like pure manufactured propaganda trying to hype up something that doesn't exist in real life.
-
And there has been no movement in the weekly Rasmussen generic R vs. D congressional poll. Rs stay up by 5 or so points, consistently.
-
Once the Middle East brews up, gas prices will go through the roof, and it'll all get blamed on the Democratics. And there'll be 20 to 30 more Dem seats lost.
-
I really like the Congressman from my district, he has really embraced social media and updates it all the time ( even when the NE Patriots lost, damn them). I cannot fathom having Carol Shea Porter back in office. She did absolutely nothing but toe the party line with no independant thoughts. She has the nerve to run again and thinks she will get in. Sadly in our state, we have a few radical right wingers who are bringing a bad name to the Republican party and people are starting to get mad again so unless they can turn it around I see NH going from Red to purple. People in NH value local control and when they see the state trying to do what the Federal govt does it makes them mad
-
Never underestimate lib votebuying, get out the vote drives, voter intimidation, voter fraud, and various and sundry lib dirty tricks when it comes to election day.
-
The MSM is going to do everything in their power to convince folks that Obama can't be beat in the hopes that conservatives will lose heart and stay home.

Again, if gas prices get to $5 a gallon, it won't matter. $6 a gallon? Forget it. Sure, he'll approve the Keystone XL pipeline in the week before the election, and that might help a bit, but prices have this nasty habit of taking a long time to come back down after spiking upwards.

I honestly don't see the national average of gas hitting the $5.00 mark between now and November.

If Israel hits Iran . . . it will skyrocket overnight. How much of the world's oil comes through Hormuz? Yeah, the US Navy and the Brits and French will keep it open (or reopen it), but prices will skyrocket within the first hour after such a strike. The Russians will welcome anything that drives up oil prices, but the Chinese won't. Sure, the Obamessiah will try to 'persuade' Netanyahu not to go ahead with the strike, but I think that the Israelis would do it, even under the threat of Russian counterstrike. The US would get sucked into such a conflict. The Saudis would covertly support Israel. Also, 'Helicopter Ben' Bernakke (sp?) said that a third stimulus may be needed, meaning massive inflation.
If it's not there, it'll be damned close.

Some say that Slick Willy Clinton coming out in support of the Keystone pipeline is a trial balloon for Obama coming around to okay it.

I heard that today, too. Then he pisses off his base, but will they just stay home?

The Repubs wil win back most of the states that went blue in the 08 Presidential election. Blue states will remain blue;so it does not matter if there is fraud in states like CA, NY,etc. Obama and Democrats will be badly defeated because the thrill and hope is gone, the economy is in the dumps, unemployment and gas prices are high, Obama care is unpopular, the debt is high, higher taxes and on and on. Repub will never have a better chance to increase their numbers in the House, win the Presidency and also the Senate. Obama's coattails will be a negative.

$4.50-5.00 by Memorial day, depending on your location.
And as has been stated, if Israel and Iran go at it, all bets are off. $200/bbl crude ain't out of the picture.

Zeit and I also live in 1CD, and no way in hell Che-Pelosi even makes it past the Dem. primary. If she does, that should tell you how thin the field is for viable candidates in the Democrat party.
Funny how we haven't heard much from the boy-buggerer Ray Buckey, ain't it? So far, we've got Annie the Abortionist going in 2CD against Bass (who just hired a real hotshot for his reelection campaign), Kevin Smith has really stepped up in his gubernatorial run, and let's face it, would YOU want to vote for Maggie Hassan or Jackie Cilley?

I'm sure that some areas will pay that much and possibly more. But I am talking about the national average.
Of course all bets are off is Israel and Iran go at it.

Democrat mouthpieces are always "Confident," whether they have any reason for it or not, it's part of the MSM propaganda blitz to dishearten the opposition. That's what makes it so hilarious when they get hammered like a tent peg in the actual election - watching the mental breakdowns of the True Believer suckers who actually bought that BS, i.e. the DUmmies.

They sure seemed shocked after the 2010 elections.

Strike a word, add a word and throw in a letter and the truth comes out.
Democrats grow confident of House breaking wind.

So in a manner of speaking the truth was hidden in plain sight. Incisive.

No way, the problem I am finding as I serve on a local board, is that if the House doesn't stop bringing forth all these bills that take away local voter control they will find themselves on the other side like in 2010. They have got to stop with the social issues and get to work on budgetary items. Between no more building aid for school districts etc.. The local voter is getting squeezed. Between federal and state unfunded mandates, I have no idea how many more can afford their property tax. Don't talk about Kuster, it's bad enough my sister is on the rise and a possible delegate for the other side. She campaigned for Kuster. Thank goodness I'm in the lakes region. We do not talk politics at all. Sadly the only thing out of her mouth is the democratic party line and it's getting difficult to hear it. Luckily my town is predominately R.

They tried that in 2010.

They have done SOME work on budgetary issues, but I'll agree more needs to be done. They did have to do something about castle doctrine/stand your ground, which they did, but again, more needs done (Mr. Fleming over in Farmington should never have been arrested for felony reckless endangerment, IMO.) Gay marriage is pretty much a done deal, and the world hasn't ended, so they need to give up that ghost already on trying to overturn it.
But this is something out of the local rag I find funny. This is what the Dems are coming up with. Read and enjoy.

What a chucklehead ,as if someone from Portsmouth even remotely knows the issues. I agree on leaving alone gay marriage but it's concerning when the Feds do not meet their commitment for education and then Obama says States should spend more. If the govt met its requirement of 40% for Special Education costs then States and Local Govt would have more to spend. I'm not even going there on bargaining agreements but the best damn thing this current crop of legislators did was the repeal of the Evergreen law. That guy saying more stimulus money needs to go out, how about giving it to small business owners who would really know how to invest.
