I feel so sorry for Nadin, perhaps her first language is not English
but she was a very vocal member on here for so many issues! Guess there is no other way to tell her am so sorry for the way she has been treated except on here.

15. She has made no secret of the fact that English is her second language
(grew up in Mexico, IIRC) and that she is dyslexic. So, Nadin can read and write in one more language than most of us here, but the letters in a word or sentence do a weird jiggy dance in front of her eyes where they change places and make it tough to proofread anything well.
The way she dealt with the taunts and provocations over the years is a matter I won't go into now. I have given her unsolicited advice once and won't do it again, because I know it comes across as demeaning even if the advice is helpful and professional.
Anyway, I like what you said there, Blue. It's very close to what I've observed, though I could say a lot more.
Nads is dyslexic? Is that on the resume? (note -- not believing for one second she is dyslexic FYI).

Symptoms
A person with DRD may have trouble rhyming and separating sounds that make up spoken words. These abilities appear to be critical in the process of learning to read. A child's initial reading skills are based on word recognition, which involves being able to separate out the sounds in words and match them with letters and groups of letters.
Because people with DRD have difficulty connecting the sounds of language to the letters of words, they may have difficulty understanding sentences.
True dyslexia is much broader than simply confusing or transposing letters, for example mistaking â€b†and “d.".
In general, symptoms of DRD may include:
Difficulty determining the meaning (idea content) of a simple sentence

I was diagnosed with dyslexia in 2nd grade. It was called mirror imaging. I wrote complexly backwards, not only the letters but the words too. If you held it up to a mirror is was completely right. I couldn't read but excelled in math.

I have not been diagnosed but wonder. I can be sitting here writing down a number and all of a sudden I will write it backwards or mix them up. Very strange.

She apparently isn't feeling the love she feels she's entitled to since just yesterday she continues with her threat of withholding her worthy and exalted posts and opinions. DUmmies needs to ante up with that outpouring of adoration and get rid of the Nads-irritating jury system 'cause She doesn't like it. She could have put Obamanaut on ignore all those years that she claimed he was bullying her, but only now, after such drama, threats of doing herself harm, threats of suing Skinner, does she proclaim it to be a solution to her Problem.

In reality 90% of people who are put on ignore will stop posting on threads... perhaps even higher.
As to the editing... I do love it, it allows for me to add, or correct myself...
And yes, juries are doing that, and it is making the place harder to be at.
These days, I am even thinking of just mostly playing on small forums, and posting important news stories and that is it.
I have been enjoying the photography forum, for example, a lot. And we have been having a good conversation on kit.

147. Uh, no, he was not 'ganged up on'. Maybe you should go over to the rightwing site and read back about a few years here, if you want to see what he erased. It was his choice, no one cares what he does, but his posts show a record of following a DUer around for more than a year despite her asking him to leave her alone. Until she finally brought this to the attention of the community, most people were not aware of what he was doing.
The situation appears to be resolved, no one asked him to erase his posts, but after reading enough of them, I can understand why he did.
The good news is that since the harassment of the DUer who WAS being ganged up on, has stopped, the fun at the other rightwing cesspool at her expense, appears to have stopped, at least for now. Nothing for them to feed off here on DU, and that is a very good thing. It was pretty sick, the obsession with Nadin on that site, and a shame that they felt DU was in agreement with them.

I would consider myself an "Operation Rescue type" and I have no issue with the poll that is linked.

I read the poll as saying that only 26% believe in the wholesale murder of innocent unborn babies for any reason. It looks to me like the poll is a problem for nadin and her cohorts in the loony left instead of the far right.

Yeah, I see it the same way that you do. A majority feels that it should be legal in some circumstances, but no one bothers to say what those circumstances are. Couple that with the group that says never legal (I'm in that camp), and it's 71%-26% against the wholesale slaughter of the Innocents.

If one checks the DU recs and threads on Nutcase Nadin's recent posts one fails to see any recs or commentary by her bestest buddy Sabrina. That's likely due to the pathetic neediness of them both to be "seen and heard" first and foremost. Notice how Sabrina used as many words as possible to say "Stop bullying poor Nads" in that mega thread and posted responses to almost all the meanies. If it's not all about Nads, it's all about Sabrina. Is this an early run for '13 DOTY?
