Several weeks ago I heard a soundbite on talk radio that Newt's Ex wife Marianne was claiming she could -if she wanted to- effectively end Newt's political career with one interview.
Apparently the bomb has been dropped and is now in free fall...
We will have to await the drama to see if anything comes of this.

There has got to be a way to punish the liberal news media!

If Newt wins, it airs...MSM has already decide that Romney is the Rep. Candidate.
Another democrat lite rep. candidate that smells worse than 3 day old dead fish.

Well if there is something coming down on Newt and it's righteous better sooner rather than later. They already have Mitt set up for the kill.

What happened to all the crap that Nancy Pelosi said that she had on Newt? Maybe she gave it to the ex to keep herself in the clear.
-
So in the meantime we are being indirectly fed the notion that ABC is a bastion of journalistic ethics :lmao:.
I'm gonna go way out on a limb here and speculate this may be headed for the showers at Penn State.

Newt had a threesome with his X and Nancy P. and Hillary watched from the closet.

Ok, im going to rail on Newt for a bit. I am sick of Newt's attacks on Romney's tax rate. His tax rate isn't on earned income, it's on dividends and long term capital gains. Every retired person who doesn't solely live on SS also pays 15% on their investments too (including my parents and in-laws). The left's blind lust for higher taxes are so short sighted that it infuriates me. Less capital from investments means less jobs, companies that fail, less progress in the medical field and less R&D for products that enrich all of our lives. Obviously Ronmey's investment income is a lot more than the average retiree but it is not something to be ashamed of.
I am also pissed at Newt's attack of Romney's involvement with Bain. Another progressive like attack. My husband's new job is because of venture capitalists. It's a start up company that wouldn't be here if not for venture capitalists. The company started last year, has 40 employees and getting ready to hire people in manufacturing which will be here in Texas. Companies that are bought out by venture capitalists (vulture capitalist according to Newt) would go out of business without the influx of cash that venture capitalists bring. If your money is being used you too would want a say in how the company is run. If the company isn't being run efficiently you have to cut costs (yes DUmmies, that includes people losing jobs). Sometimes the company will still fail. Venture capitalists are not a charity, they expect a return on their investment.
This part is mainly for DUmmies to read. My husband accepted this jobs for quite a bit less than his previous job. Being in on the ground floor of a start up company is taking a risk. With taking this risk he got stock. When and if the company goes public he will make quite a bit of money but it is no guarantee. DUmmies want to confiscate it because they feel it's not "earned". Well it is earned, he is taking the risk of working for this start up for quite a bit less than he could get somewhere else. He is taking a chance with this company because it is exciting for him. I thought America was built on people taking chances with no guarantee of success, but if you succeed you will be rewarded. That concept is foreign to DUmmies, they want a guarantee of success.

BEG nailed it - again. :yahoo:

From what I have read, this is nothing that she has not already said before in multiple interviews... there is nothing new in this story.

Nonetheless, the once MSM will push it on the DSA (Dumb Shits of America).

Perhaps just another attempt by the Obama/Romney loving MSM to influence the vote in South Carolina?

But then you( & Chris) are much more aware than most SC voters of the Many Loves of Dobbie Gillis Newt Gingrich.
Political junkies know this stuff but the rank and file, rather like cows, trudge in and out of the barn every day thinking little about this type stuff until just before the election. I liken it to the inventory concept of "Just in time" which was in vogue a few years back.
Is there a bit of intrigue in who benefits most from the release of this? Yes. Could it be prompted by democratics? Sure. Romney? Sure. Would it reappear in the fall? You Betcha!

M/zeit has worked for two start-ups. There can be a great upside to successful start-ups. There are these things called stock options....
You may take less initially and work long hours in a fast paced environments but if you are good at what you do eventually you will be rewarded.
DUmmies don't understand deferred compensation, they want it all right now. No waiting, no working. Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie.
But that is why they are DUmmies.

Yes I did happen to catch Beck while I was out. And, the reasons for seem to stack far shorter than those against.
But the real question is: BEG, Would you be interested in a polyamorous relation with him? :rotf:
(ok I will just slink away now)

All I heard was that his current wife, loved that he prefaced each sentence in the SC debate with, "as an historian". Supposedly, something about starting conversations with that, loses the interest of young girls?
I'm not sure what she's worried about :whistling:

Absolutely........H5 for the Beck remark, he jumped the shark years ago, which is (and this comes from media insiders) why Roger Ailes with Fox dumped him, he became a liability. As lame as the show (The Five) that was placed in his timeslot is, it's getting better ratings than Beck.
This discussion is a good example of why we conservatives will never get a "true conservative" candidate for the WH.......we're divided into factions that are even more polarized than the Dems......we can't seem to rally around a candidate that is an electable winner......all we do is divide the primary vote until the last man standing is the "moderate" that the establishment Republicans and media support. It's happened every primary cycle for the past twenty years........

Love Newt or hate him I'm going to predict an anti-MSM bounce in his favor.
Cain was torn down with salacious allegations and they're trying to do the same with Newt with a woman who--while righteously indignant--is obviously not moving on emotionally and has a vendetta engineered to take a political toll.
Meanwhile the MSM ran interference for Clinton, Kennedy, Obama etc.
Did you know Debbie Wasserman-Shits' parents are facing prison for political corruption?
Did you know Jesse Jackson in being sued for arrears in child support for his love child?
Probably not I'm guessing, even though these stories are just breaking within the last 48 hours...
...but we're going to rehash Newt's twelve year-old divorce.

I didn't say I wouldn't vote for Newt if he was the nominee but it seems that to ignore the statements he has made in the past (and not so distant past), some of the people he has teamed up with and some of the deeds he has done would make all of us pause for a minute before jumping on the bandwagon. That being said, I would vote for him over Obama any day of the week.
I would pay to see Newt debate Obama, he would crush him. I'm just a little put off some of his statements (like I mentioned above). Are you not troubled by his admiration on Jackson, FDR and Wilson? This wasn't something dreamed up by Beck, Newt said it himself.

As an interesting aside, let's look back to 2008, the first really "open" primary for both parties. The DNC exercised tight control on the presented candidates, it was (on the Dem side) always a two person race......Obama and Clinton.......
The Republicans are offered the first real opportunity for a landslide victory in a presidential race in decades, and instead of exercising control, the RNC shows little leadership, and we get eight candidates at the beginning. Almost three primaries in, and we're still squabbling over four, and this lack of party discipline will inevitably give us Mitt.........just like it yielded McCain in 2008, and Dole before that.
The three "libertarians" should have never been allowed in the race to begin with.......with the right Republican candidate it wouldn't matter if any of them launched a third party challenge, the margin of victory would have been too large.
With strong party leadership, we should have gone into Iowa with Romney, Gingrich, and Santorum. Santorum would have likely won Iowa by a larger margin, for lack of Bachman (really only a two-state candidate), Romney would have won New Hampshire, and likely Gingrich in SC.......going into Florida we would have had a real horserace, and the outcome would likely not be resolved until "Super Tuesday" as it should be, with the largest number of states and voters participating in the selection.

With those two candidates, I don't think what they say on stage would have sway over peoples voting decisions. I would just personally find it fascinating to hear a great discourse between the two orators.

I find myself in general agreement with both this and your last post and would hasten to add, RonPaul should never be allowed to run as a Republican.
And, as Sparky has certainly found out by now, the NH primary is hardly the be all and end all it has been made out to be (ditto the Hawkey Cauc-eye).
Republican primary reforms are long overdue as is the method of financing candidates.

Beck also has some dirt on his face with his Goldline commercials. Their mark up on gold coins is outrageous. Rep Weinner is a snake in the grass but he was right this one time.
Newt is much better than Mitt or Obama. He has done some stupid things but does not alter the fact that he has gotten more accomplished than any House Repub speaker in the last 50 years with legislation like welfare reform, lower taxes, etc.
Newt should quit the attacks on his fellow Repubs and concentrate on his own ideas to correct the mess we are in. That is what is responsible for his surge in the polls.
I also wonder how much money she is getting paid to throw dirt on this divorce. I doubt she is doing it for nothing

Apparently the bombshell is just that he wanted an open marriage and she refused. BFD, if he was Bill Clinton he just wouldn't have bothered to ask. No male prostitutes, no kiddie porn.

I loved this from Rush today:
I got a great note from a friend of mine. "So Newt wanted an open marriage. BFD. At least he asked his wife for permission instead of cheating on her. That's a mark of character, in my book. Newt's a victim. We all are. Ours is the horniest generation. We were soldiers in the sex revolution. We were tempted by everything from Bob and Carol and Ted and Alice to Plato's retreat, Deep Throat to no fault divorce. Many of us paid the ultimate price, AIDS, abortion, or alimony for the cultural marching orders we got. Hell, for all I know we should be getting disability from the government." That's from a good friend of mine, "Newt's slogan ought to, 'Hell, yes, I wanted it.'" (laughing) I'm sharing with you how some people are reacting to this.
Ah yes, the Seventies.

No kidding. First off, get rid of the friggin "modified open" primary. Close it off. You ain't a Republican, you shouldn't be voting for them.
Although I will say this--in 2008 there was a lot, and I mean A LOT of candidate presence here. Signs everywhere, etc. This year? Hell, there was a primary? I'd be surprised if we saw 1/4 the number of signs that were here four years ago.
But on a positive note, Leland Eisenberg isn't threatening to blow anyone up with road flares this time around.
-

I'd bet my next pension check that she received a hefty sum (maybe not from ABC, but from somewhere).......the old "woman scorned" crap only goes so far. If a woman is going to air her dirty laundry and trash her personal pride on national TV, there had better be a payoff.

You are exactly right on the signs. And only one Obie sign at my polling place. (Union Druid of course in full regalia)
The fact that NH is duty bound (or is that hell bent) to keep its first in the nation status is a problem. January? Really? I say it is time to give it up and develop a regional system to broaden things out. We can't do any worse now can we.

Yeah.....we went through this discussion last cycle, and unfortunately these "first in nation" things are typically enshrined in the states constitutions, and are really hard to change.
About the only thing that the national party can do is penalize (which they have done) these states by strippng half of their delegates to the convention.
That said, there is NO reason for "open primaries", these should be eliminated.

So in the meantime we are being indirectly fed the notion that ABC is a bastion of journalistic ethics :lmao:.
I'm gonna go way out on a limb here and speculate this may be headed for the showers at Penn State.
Whew! I was a tad worried this could have been something really bad, shame on me!
If Willie could have an open marriage with Shrillary this is nothing. He got his Lewinskys in the oval office and nobody cared. IIRC the biggest outrage in all of that in the minds of women was that Linda Tripp betrayed her friend Monica and outed her.
Of course the objective of this hit piece is to turn off the far right to Newt and bolster Rinomney, whom the leftist media are stumping for. I don't think it's going to make much of a difference.
The whole thing is really pretty petty of Marrianne, only serves to cheapen her IMHO. :loser:

“The liberal media,†she added, “and some of that GOP holier-than-thou machine overplayed their hand this time.â€
Palin said that Gingrich, who she identified this week as the candidate she would vote for in the South Carolina primary if eligible, would ultimately benefit from the media attack.
“I call them ‘dumb arses,’†she said. “They think by trotting out this old Gingrich divorce interview — that’s old news and it does feature this disgruntled ex- that claimed that it would destroy a campaign. All this does is, Sean, is incentivize conservatives and independents who are so sick of the politics of personal destruction because it’s played so selectively by the media.â€
“Their target in this case, Newt,†Palin added, “is now going to soar even more because we know the game now and we just won’t put up with it. So you know, good call media. Way to go to covertly hype this, even with Gingrich opponents. For being so brilliant, they sure are dumb.â€

This "I can bring his campaign down with 1 interview" crap. Really? Marianne, I am not looking for a husband, I am looking for someone who can rescue this country. I read earlier that you had banished Newt 9 years earlier from the marital bedroom, but I don't care enough to go look it up. ABC is emphatic you did not get paid for your interview, yet punted on whether you got paid for the pictures that came from that interview. I still don't care. If Newt can do to Barack Hussein Obama what he did tonight to John King for spewing your tripe, I'll be dancing in the streets in November.

AH poor Marianne, was she not the cause of Newts first divorce from wife NO.1 ???? Was she not dating him while he was married to his first wife????
WTF, why was she surprised that he would do less then that to her????
Give me a break here, any woman who dates a married man is just asking for big trouble. So when the dude divorces his wife for another woman, what on earth makes the woman not believe this could happen to them???
This woman is a JERK, Newt when he asked for an open marriage from her, with any Hillery smarts should have said----" go for it you little twerp, just make sure I am on your arm at all functions get my clothing allowance, fancy cars and YOU ask me no questions about my life style".
Damnnation, Jackie Kennedy, and a long line of first Lady's have not let this get to them. Face it the first Lady's are not young virgins, their time is long gone for a future of love and romance from some young upstart.
So Marianne hit the Kama wall head first. Too bad for her, this new wife after her may be open to whatever her Twerp husband wants, she now gets the cars, the publicity, the cloths and trips abroad, respect as wife of Newt.
I have no sympathy for a home wrecker that yells foul when their home is wrecked by another smarter Bimbo.

Wow a post from you I could read because it was slightly coherent and that I agreed with...
Checking ass now to see if monkey are flying out...

You know Sarah Palin must be a genius if she agrees with me. :-)

I must agree with Quinn's (Quinn & Rose) take on this that I heard him give on the radio this morning on my way to work.
"This woman's been silent for 18 years, why now? I'll tell you why. She's sitting there seething watching Newt go up in the polls and she's saying to herself "if I can't be the First Lady that bitch ain't gonna be"...
I think he may be onto something with that. I mean c'mon, well over a decade and this woman is still stewing, can't move on emotionally?
Also -and this is purely speculation on my part- information to the media is golden and they will pay handsomely for it. I would not at all be surprised if Newt's ex was offered a tidy sum by ABC for the goods.
-

Never thought about that angle but it makes sense. No doubt she will get big bucks out of this.

I concur.
I get pissed at Newt for some of his actions and comments, but he made me  when he said he'd be willing to debate Obama and speak off the cuff, while Obama kept his teleprompter.

Whoever you are, what is it that gives you such trepidation about Newt Gingrich?
Lemme guess~ You are an 0bama supporter and like most of your ilk you are walking around these days with an empty plummeting feeling deep down in your gut, you know he is going to lose. So with that you have taken it upon yourself to check out the opposition, see perhaps which one of the republican candidates you could best live with.
Rinomney must have been looking pretty good to you, downeast democrat that he is. Then along comes the SC republican primary results and rut-roh, whoopsie! Now things aren't looking too good. You might actually get a real republican in the White House come next spring.
Not to worry, kiddo. Nothing is carved in stone yet and there are always alternatives...

Well, Eupher, if this is a private party then it is one that I don't want to crash. I thought that this was a conservative forum and not a social club that bitch-slaps new members. It is best, I guess, that I leave now because I bitch slap back.
Bye Eupher, thanks for the fellowship and may God save the Republic.

What a *****.
Yesbutt, Dutch.
By leaving I'd miss your adroit use of the English language so I guess I'll stay here until you all forget your egos and remember our 1786 agreement with ourselves that made this country the last hope of liberty for all mankind.
Or until your consortium has me thrown off this forum, whichever comes first. :(

Hmmm... Four posts so far and all of them on this thread. No doubt you must have read the suggestions to stop by the introductions and just say "Hi". Simple protocols anywhere in person or on the web. Common courtesy.
By ignoring such you identify yourself as a kamikaze. By participating in such you identify yourself as someone whose parents instilled some manners into and perhaps may be someone who seeks to participate as opposed to someone who is simply intent on being troublesome for their own amusement. Everyone is certainly welcome and we all would like to hear what you have to bring to the table but no one likes an asshole.
Bitchslapped for being an ignorant bitch.

Yup. Paulbot.
Oh, and for the record, which 1786 agreement are you referring to? The Constitution was 1787, but wasn't "official" until New Hampshire ratified it (ninth state--see Article VII) the following year.

Still a whiny *****. If you could have backed up your statements with a little fact then you may still have gotten a bunch of shit from people here, but at least we'd have thought you had some balls.
Look at Ohio Barbarian. Dumber than a bunch of rocks. However, he does try to defend his lunatic posts with facts. You just shout out a communist talking point and expect us to bow down to your intellect.
So, why don't you slither back to whichever liberal shithole you usually post at and write your bouncy to impress all the rest of the ball lickers.
Here, I will start it for you:
So, I recently spelunked into the bowls of CC and taught them a thing or two...

bowels, dutch. Not bowls. It makes a difference. :lmao:

Put it another way, Dutch--at HIS forum, we'd have been banned before submitting the second post. The fact he's still a member in good standing, albeit a douchenozzle, says a lot for our tolerance versus theirs.

And who are you to tell me what I do and don't want?
Who am I? Well, so far I and you are the only ones who can post on this subject without resorting to name-calling and the childish use of sexual vulgarties. So here goes...
"Newt is glib"
What? Who could honestly say that the former global warmist and former advisor to Fannie Mae and Fannie Mac is not glib?
" Newt has the charm of a aluminium siding salesman but without the morals."
This statement is self-evident. He has the charms to sell himself but (maybe the irony was missed by some here) if he divorced his first wife to marry his girfriend then divorced his second girlfriend/wife to marry his second girlfriend then his morals can be rightly questioned.
"We do nowt want Newt."
"We", of course, refers to everyone who gives a swinging damn about the future of this nation, and the use of the early English term "nowt" meaning "naught" was an affectation of mine because I thought it cute.
-

There, happy now?
Care to discuss the topic at hand, or simply engage in your own special brand (okay, maybe not so special) of douchebaggery?

Come on, tell us about his great attributes such as a health care plan that will prove to be unconstitutional or how about his stating that there are 57 states in the union. Your hero is so dumb he makes GWB look like an Einstein.

When libs start going on about morals, all they do is reinforce the perception that they have none. To wit, a single or multiple divorces automatically constitutes immorality. The very idea is absurd on it's face. I am not a big fan of divorce, but I would never consider anyone who has been through one "immoral".

The story goes that one bright spring morning in March, when the ground was still covered with a blanket of crisp white snow, one of the LINDT Maîtres Chocolatiers saw a little bunny in his garden. The Maître Chocolatier´s young son was completely mesmerised when he saw the little bunny but began to cry as soon as it disappeared in the bushes.
Deeply touched by how upset his son was, the father suddenly had a great idea:
“I should make a bunny like that one out of chocolate…†He made the bunny from the finest LINDT milk chocolate, wrapped it in a golden foil and put a red ribbon with a golden bell around its neck, so it would not get lost.
“When the bell rings, you can easily find it†the Maître said to his young son. And so, the very first GOLD BUNNY was born,
LINDT GOLD BUNNY became an icon of Easter. It is adored by people of all ages and all over the world and every year when the LINDT GOLD BUNNY appears again, they know that Easter is not far away.
But Easter Sunday, look out bunny!!
