These people can't tell the truth ($50 reward for the DU!)
Some Republican conservatives (a few live in the greater Omaha area) want to distort my record as I run for local public office next year. Seems that is the only tactic they know.
Does this look like a security guard to you?
This is the exact same tux I wore a few weeks ago, and they call this security. I was a volunteer for a fund raiser to benefit the Nebraska Kidney Foundation. Best viewed in explorer: http://www.kidneyne.org /
They say I asked for free Packer tickets last year on the DU. I asked for reasonably priced tickets to the NU-Wisconsin game & the Packer-Denver game. You can see from my photo I'm not an easy fit in standard seats. Find a post on the DU where I asked for free Packer or Wisconsin tickets and the DU will get $50 donated in your name verified by Skinner.
They say I'm not working and am on disability. I returned to work following my surgery I had in late January. As of today I am still working for the City of Omaha. I do have restrictions below those required for the job. I'm waiting to see if I can get an accommodation for my job or reassignment to a less strenuous and lower paying job. That is not my decision, it is up to my employer.
I wonder why trash like this want to stay anonymous? I live in a fish bowl and could care less. Get the idea.
If your one of the offending liars, the reward can go instead to the Nebraska Kidney Foundation.
Omaha Steve (1000+ posts) Thu Dec-01-11 08:13 PMPosting your exact quotes as posted on the DUmp, is not distortion.

Can the DU get Omaha Steve to Madison (ground zero) as a project?
Mods IF you have to move this, put it in the Labor Forum: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph...
Most of you know just how pro labor/worker I am. I never made it to Madison for the protests early this year. I was in a motion restrictive sling for my right shoulder after rotator cuff surgery. I was on drugs and couldn't drive. The AFL-CIO bus was full before I could say I'd go.
Here is the deal. I'd love to be in Madison, Wi on Oct. 1. NU will be there to play the Badgers. I'm not asking for $. I'm asking for help finding two tickets at a reasonable price. Because of my size, on an isle would help but isn't mandatory.
I bet finding tickets really isn`t that hard so why ask this?
I will go up two days before with my best friend (the Putz) Jeff. We go to all kinds of sporting events together. We will wear "NU fans in solidarity with Wisconsin" shirts. We will visit the capital and the offices of locals involved in the long public union fight. I am an AFSCME member after all.
IF there is an NFL season by then, I could also use two tickets to the Packer game that Sunday. I'm a life long Packer fan that watched the Ice Bowl on the new black and white TV I got for Christmas that year. I'll wear my cheese head. I've never been to a Packer game before. They were out of the country for a preseason game in Canada the one time I made it to Green Bay. Jeff is a Bronco fan first, then a Packer fan.
I did donate to the Wisconsin AFL-CIO, the State Democratic party, bought pizzas, gave to AFSCME Wisconsin, etc. Why the need to tell this?
Can the DU pull some strings and get Jeff and I to the promised land? Only time will tell.

This campaign is going to be a three-ring circus!
The Weeper's going ballistic, and it hasn't even started yet!
Wait 'til the fur starts to really fly.
I could be wrong, having never set foot in Nebraska, but I think it's unlikely a simpleminded but outspoken Socialist will be received
enthusiastically in a military-dominated Omaha suburb.

He may get more votes in the DOTY balloting then whatever he is running for.
Out of curiosity, if one happened to be in the Omaha environs, and one happened across genuine Omaha Steve campaign material, what would be the CC policy on posting it online? :whistling:

I'm nominating my fellow Nebraskan, Omaha's Ed Norton, Omaha Steve, for top primitive.
Many here see Omaha's Ed Norton as a blue-collar union worker, or a candidate for the city council in Bellevue, Nebraska, or as being 1/64th derived from Native American blood (overlooking the 63/64th part of him that's Polish or Irish), or as a freeloader wanting other people to give him things, or as a rabid promoter of socialism, or as a fan of the Green Bay Packers, or as a [Star] Trekkie.
Omaha Steve and franksolich are Nebraskans, and Nebraska being a pretty small state, we sort of kind of in a vague way know of each other in real life.
Omaha's Ed Norton is, if nothing else, a con man, a scammer, looking for the easy buck.
One noticed this right away in his breathless announcement he was running for city council in Bellevue, one of the reddest cities in Nebraska; about the first thing he mentioned was that he was settling up an account to accept campaign donations. Nothing about what he planned to do, if elected, for the good people of his city, only about that he'd be accepting campaign donations.
I know what was running through my fellow Nebraskan's mind--he'd take all this cash given him by the primitives, consult a national schedule of Star Trek conventions, register for those located in blue cities where there might be some Democrat event going on about the same time, and voila! he and Marta would get to hang around with Trekkies, even buying some stuff. All on other people's dimes.
Never wants to pay his own way through life, Omaha Steve.
Memo to Omaha Steve: Your affiliation with the DUmp is not going to help your credibility as a candidate, if you had any to begin with. Past words and deeds have a way of coming back to bite people like you in the ass.
To this day, I am shocked, utterly shocked, that when my fellow Nebraskan consulted with the Sarpy County Democrats about how to run a campaign, their first advice to him wasn't "quit hanging around Skins's island; you don't want to be associated with far-left extremist fringe nuts and yahoos."DUmmy Omaha Steve is a far-left extremist fringe nut. He's also a union drone, a scammer, and a whining crybaby beggar.
Or maybe they did counsel that, but Omaha Steve ignored it.
In case anyone missed it--after all, the thread's miles and miles long, and so it's easy to miss--my nomination of my fellow Nebraskan for Top DUmmie of 2011:If OS continues to shoot himself in the foot, as he is now, I may consider voting for the loser.
If OS continues to shoot himself in the foot, as he is now, I may consider voting for the loser.
Seems the lad was quiet for a couple months when CC called him out on his rants.
Now, the idiot is stock-piling ammo for the other side. ???
This is too good to be true. :rotf:
One suspects nadin's lead is, uh,Sorry, coach, couldn't help myself. :lmao:erodingevolving.
Too bad, but that happens. Sometimes at the last minute a better-qualified candidate comes forth.

He must have rented it for the big Omaha Sewage Ball.
I dunno if it's still there, but somewhere in west Omaha there is, or was, a clothing store for big and tall men, Jerry Leonard's. If they could outfit the gigantic primitive, the Las Vegas Lardass, surely they have, or had, stuff that would look good on the somewhat more, uh, petite Omaha Steve.
I wonder if he made the vest himself? That's a Vesta, BEG, be nice now.

Steve asks over at his thread, "does this look like a security guard to you?" First of all, yes. Second of all, why are you besmirching the honest job of security guard? They serve a useful function, and make a days wage for a days work. All honest work is noble, is it not, Steve? If not, why not? Are you looking down your nose at an admittedly non-glamorous job? They're only trying to make ends meet and feed their families! Elitist snob. I suppose the only job that counts for you is highly over-paid union boss. For which you lost your bid, sadly.
Another clue that the Weeper is still scamming the taxpayers with his disabiliity "restrictions" is that grotesque, comical beard (looks a lot like the Las Vegas Lardass). It's as funny as the tux.
On the rare occasions when the Weeper works, it's in a sewage plant. All day long, he loafs with his fellow union drones around huge vats and pools of bubbling, sloshing, splashing raw sewage. That huge, tangled, bushy beard would catch every particle of sewage overspray. It would quickly acquire an odor and appearance worthy of an Occupooper camp.
Surely, if he worked, he would shave.
It could be just me but if OmahaSteve doesn';t want people talking about him then maybe posting stupid shit on an internet message board is the last thing his fat ass should be doing? Then again no one has ever accused him of being a rocket scientist either. Tell you want Steve you want to make a deal then here is one for you. Stop trying to game the system and posting on DU and all your troubles may pass. Then again after posting those threads about how you verbaly beat down the car salesman and how you have that nice new tv you couldn't stop posting on DU if it was nothing more then scrap paper and crayons.

This will no doubt bruise his tender ego, where no one loses, and all are winners.
Perhaps we could award him a pink "Also Ran", ribbon.
Maybe it should say..."fifth winner". :rotf:
I used to know a guy who was the manager of a municipal sewage treatment plant. He said citizens would often call, mistakenly believing his operation had something to do with their city sewer problems.
He'd tell them how to contact the right people, but a few would be irate, obnoxious, abusive, like DUmp democrats.
To those, he'd suggest that they write out their complaint in detail on toilet paper and flush it. He'd promise to read it as soon as it was received.
Gee, willigers!
wonder how I can transpose that for complainers about power outages?
Maybe tell them to write a complaint out and paperclip it into an outlet.
Nope not creative enough. Stick it into the USB port on their computers

[/quoteI'll bet my fellow alum ordered him to shut up.
And it'd be good if my fellow Nebraskan obeyed Skins.
The less Omaha's Ed Norton hangs around Skins's island, the less ammunition he freely gives potential rivals for the city council in Bellevue.
Well, remember that when Omaha's Ed Norton started the thread, he did a shout-out to Skins and ordered him "to check his email".
I think Skins may have replied to the blubbering bubblebutt, setting the record straight as to who says Shit! and who then squats. I'd keep my eyes open for a 'guest' from the Omaha metro area for the next couple of months, franksolich. The Weeper from Bellvue may keep his nose out of this forum so as not to lose access to the other, lightweight (as opposed to Stuttering Steve) collection of f*ck-ups.

Pray you don't get as much as you pricks gave her, Stevie. Lord knows you deserve it...
It's gonna be fun!
Won't the mountainous Weeper's opponents be surprised when they start getting e-mail from all over the country?
Won't they be pleased when they start to comprehend what a treasonous, shameful history the Weeper has laid down on the intertubes?
Has anyone ever won an election in Nebraska after stating, for the record , "I've always supported socialism"?
How many people in Bellevue would vote for someone who says that?
I have a hunch a year from now the Weeper will be a shoo-in for the 2012 Broken Elbow.
Just don't send any attachments. Companies are so afraid of viruses, that the emails get deleted before being read/opened. At least they did when I still worked.City Council races are notorious for being low budget affairs. Doubtful that the candidates will have any kind of election staffs, they're usually a husband/wife team, sometimes a few friends help out.
