Quote
Dinosaur Dung Sells At NYC Auction For Nearly $1,000

AP) A pile of dinosaur dung 130 million years old sold at a New York auction Wednesday for nearly $1,000.

The prehistoric deposit fetched $960, said a spokeswoman for Bonhams New York. Its pre-auction estimate was $450.

The fossilized dung is from the Jurassic era, the auction house said. It looks like a rock on the outside and a colorful mineral inside.

Actually, it's no big deal, despite what it is.

A cow chip, for example, after having been out in the Nebraska sun for a summer, and then out in the Nebraska snow for a winter, looks like a piece of dried driftwood one finds on a sea-shore.

Some Nebraskans, but not franksolich who's a nice guy, get a great deal of merriment out of encouraging primitives from blue states, curious about what something is, to pick it up and examine it.

After about a year, it's harmless of course, sterile as a hospital operating room, but it's just not a nice thing to do, even to primitives from blue states.

Remember, franksolich wouldn't even mislead a primitive about what something is.

Don't laugh at the lowly dry cow chip. What with the rising cost of heating oil you may picking them up to burn in a heater and cook stove someday.

....and Frisbees were originally a redneck invention, patterned after a dried cow chip. If you don't believe me, pick up a dry cow chip and give it a fling.

Runs like hell before the "chips" start flying.

On that, you are absolutely correct, sir, and I salute you.

Cow chips provided the inspiration for the invention of Frisbees.

Really.
