Well, usually I wouldn't bother.

But the misspelling, considering what it was, just seemed so wrong.

"Hollicost."

Never Forget.

Nor Forgive.

Some of us aren't quite as good a Christians as the Muzzies think we are. We don't all turn the other cheek. ...and some don't turn the other cheeks either.

Never Forget.

And never let them forget either.

To forgive is the decent proper Christian thing to do. To do so is to acknowledge that those which we forgive are our equals and that in the eyes of God we are no better and no worse than them. It is a humbling and humiliating act born out of deference to and respect for God, that we should put aside our transgressions and together in love for one another celebrate the glory of God.

This is why I can never and will never forgive those who perpetrated 9/11 because they are the personification of evil. They are Godless savage cowards who use their own women as shields and their own children as living bombs. They make war on defenseless civilians, striking from the shadows and retreating to hide in the darkness. This they claim they do for the glory of God.

I am sorry but my God does not revel in the celebration of murder.
My God does not call for the subjugation of women as property.
My God does not advocate the use of one's own children as suicide martyrs in his name.
My God does not advocate hate of one's fellow man.
My God demands his name not be invoked in violence against one's fellow man.
My God abhors cowardice.

These animals are not the children of God. They are the soldiers of Satan, the very embodiment of vile filth and evil.

I can never and will never forgive them.

Amen! Forgiving is a two-way street. They have to repent to be forgiven, which they have not done. Also, it does not give them a blank check to sin again.

Good as any place to mark my gratitude I suppose....

My parents divorced when I was very young. Both remarried when I hit 10. My stepmother was so glamorous. And a good, kind soul. My Dad was a man that never should have had children (I got that from him.) He didn't know what to do with a girl. My stepmom jumped in and entertained me, made me feel special. When my Dad would do "boy things" with my brother, my stepmom would take me out for girls night. It started with Ice Capades, to getting my colors done, to antique shopping, to having a special dinner in a sit-down restaurant. I felt glamorous too.

As we got older, my Dad and I found our way. He got Cancer and it sucked, as Cancer does. Toward the end, that I didn't know was the end, I flew up to surprise him for Father's Day. I ended up holding his hand, as he took his last breath with my stepmother at the other side. Bonding Moment? Yeah, it was all that. It was the most painful, and most supreme moment of my life.

Less than three years later, I was laid off from work, and at home, fixin to take my laundry to the laundromat. I got laid off on Friday, this was Tuesday. I had watched the news, then switched to Little House on the Prairie. Before I left, I switched over for some reason, and saw what had happened. I watched as I heard about what happened to the Pentagon. I knew my stepmom was there. She was there every Tuesday. She supported higher staff in the Navy, and hadn't retired yet.

Eight hours went by. I called her family, my Aunt, my Mom and Etta. Etta called the local hospitals all the way from Montana. (that always warms my heart.) I finally heard her voice, and she was home. She said she walked into the Pentagon, heard a loud boom, turned around, walked out, and drove home.

I consider myself very grateful that I didn't lose her that day.

I watch many of these remembering shows. Mostly to remind me how much I could have lost and didn't. And to remind myself how grateful I need to remember to be.

I truly consider myself to be blessed.  And I pray for those that lost loved ones every day.  It could have been me, it could have been my family.  And it wasn't.

 That I will never forget.

It is unbelievable how much our world was changed in just a few minutes that day ten years ago. I am saddened that my children will never know the world we grew up in, where terrorism is something that happend on the other side of the world in strange lands we didn't understand. My children have grown up in a world where it can happen here.

I remember how surreal that day was and pray for the families that lost loved ones

Back in those days, I traveled from Dallas to NYC and Tarrytown quite a bit for work.  Because I loved visiting so much, many weekends I'd stay over. I almost always stayed at the Marriott WTC, because they had great weekend rates.
By September 2001, most of my work in NY had finished, so I wasn't traveling there much.  I worked from a home office, and since my schedule was somewhat erratic, I slept a bit late that day.  I had my alarm set to a local Dallas radio station, and I remember hearing something about a plane crash, but due to being tired, I hit the snooze button and didn't think anything of it.  By the time my alarm went off again, they were announcing something about it looking like an attack.  I remember jumping out of bed and turning on the TV.  I called my mother, and what I remember most was our confusion about planes not only hitting the towers, but then hitting the Pentagon and the Shanksville crash.  I remember the fear over where they would hit next.
Our NYC office was on one of the higher floors of a building on 42nd and 6th Ave, so they could see what was happening south of them.  The receptionist's  brother died in one of the towers.
God bless the families of the victims.  I will never forget.

I remember my Mom to the day she died upset about Pearl Harbor. Then 9/11 happened. It was hard to see my Father and Mom go thru that as well. I was always glad my Uncles had passed before 9/11. I am still very upset about 9/11. Dad worked in Pentagon and as a child I went to work with him once. NEVER FORGET

^ Great quote! I was in school when it happened. There were whispers about planes, and something about buildings, but I was somewhat oblivious until I started walking home. I heard fellow 7th grade girls crying, and was shaken by that. Not as shaken as when I came home, and sat in front of the TV. I'll never forget watching the absolute horror that unfolded. However, I'll never forget the absoloute bravery, and selflessness I saw either. That day made heroes out of people that may have otherwise just been regular citizens. It brought out impecable good in a great many.

It is unfortunate though, that it had to be brought out in such an evil, unspeakable way.

I too will never forget....or forgive those responsible.

I remember now a few days after 9/11 being in a grocery store. Only one line was open and of course the line was long. A women didn't have enough money to pay for her stuff. Everyone tried to help her, she then yelled out.."why do they hate us?"  I remember I either said "who cares!' or thought it. A photo of Bin laden was on a tabloid in front of me.

I had worked the late shift and had about 4 hours sleep when the phone rang. All I remember was Hubby's voice telling me---WE ARE GOING TO WAR.  TURN ON THE TV.

I stumbled out of bed into the living room as both towers burned.  I ran down the hall to awaken my BIL who had also worked the late shift and he came into the living room also half asleep just in time to watch the  replay of the  second plane hit the next tower.

Eveything on TV was moving at such a fast pace, the Pentagon and a crash in PA.   Are there more of them, will other big city's be hit ???

I called in to work sick as I was not going to miss one moment of History going on before my very eyes.
We watched as both towers crumbled to the ground and were speech less.

A few days later I realised two coincidences. One that I had met in 1988 the pilot that flew the plane in PA on a flight out of Atlanta.  This was to be my last plane ride. He and another pilot had gotten a hop on my flight home due to the winter and the ice storms that had caused in January of that year to make the pilots put in too much overtime, they worked for another company that was not flying into Boston.

My ears would not POP and the pressure was making them bleed. This Pilot tried to take my mind off the pain by telling me he lived in my area and about his wife that was a teacher at a local high school.  He himself told me to not fly again until I had my ears and sinuses checked out. I did not realise who he was until his wife was interviewed and then I made the connection.

Second odd thing, about a week before all this, 2 temps came to work, both from the middle east and they scared the hell out of the Indonesians that were also Muslam.  The one I worked with told me he was from Portland Maine.  I was curious as to why and as we worked asked about the differences in the Mid Eastern Muslams and the Indonesian Muslams.   To make matters worse my job was to train him in a job that meant much dexterity meaning I had to physically position his hands and arms, I had to touch his body to position it.

My Boss was a Hindu from India and Kenya and watched us like a hawk, he was no fool. Next day the man was laid off.    I was told by my Boss that    " VESPA, you tread where the angles fear to go . "  I had no idea what he meant until 9/11.

Just before 6 AM, driving to Alhambra to pick up some stuff for a job I was doing at Lynwood Substation.  Heard on KFI that a plane had hit the WTC while I was waiting in the McD's drivethrough.  At first I thought it sounded similar to 1945 when a B-29 had hit the Empire State Building, but as I pulled to the window I heard them report the second plane hit, and I knew it was no accident.

I got to the window and told the girl there.  She looked at me and goes, "Is anyone hurt?"  All I could say was, "Thousands."

Got my equipment, started heading down to Lynwood on the 605.  First tower fell while I was trying to get on 105.  Freeways were jammed like a normal weekday morning rush hour.  Guy I was working with and I decided we would just do the one job and head home.

By the time we finished, there was NO air traffic (the substation is in LAX landing pattern.)  Hardly any traffic on any freeway.  Got home a little after 1 to find ex sitting in front of TV bawling her head off.

Sometimes turning the other cheek means sticking up a big moon.

I was working for the Air Force at the time, God it was a beautiful morning.  Someone said, a plane flew into the Twin Towers.  We scrambled for the computer.  I was so confused, I had no idea, my first thought was a horrible accident.  I called home right away and my dad, a 25 year veteran, answered.  I told him what happened, "Dad did you hear, a plane just flew into one of the towers in New York!"  The first words out of his mouth were, "Oh my God.  We're going to war."  It took me about 5 full seconds for his words to sink in and to realize exactly what happened.  It took the rest of the day for it to sink in.  Actually, I don't think it really sank in until the next day.

How could anyone forget?

I was at a country store when the first announcement and video came on the TV. A redneck was standing there looking at the same TV. He at once said, "Boys. I don't know who it is but we're at war with somebody." It wasn't until I saw the second plane coming in that I finally agreed with him.

I'll never forget. I was getting ready for work. I as watched the local news, the major network switched over and had views of the first tower with the smoke billowing from it.

The news casters really didn't know what was going on, they thought that a small plane had hit the tower. About that time one of the camera crew caught the second airliner crashing into the second tower. At that point there was no doubt as to what was happenig. I think I spent most of the day glued to the TV watching everything unfold.

One thing that's odd, to this day I've never seen the footage from the choppers or planes circling the towers that caught the second airliner hitting the second tower.

My wife was a gate agent for what was then America West Airlines.  She had just pushed the jetway back from her first departure of the morning when the phone line at the jetway control station rang.  It was the control tower (Tower NEVER contacts the gates like this, so this is already unusual as hell in her book) ordering her to get that airplane back to the gate, and get everybody off the plane, now.  Somehow, she managed to get the pilot's attention, and then the attention of the guy running the tug below her, and they got the plane moved back into place at the gate.  A whole manifest of passengers looking confused and wondering why the plane wasn't leaving for their destination, followed by a flight crew with the same looks of confusion on their faces.   Following the instructions she'd been given from the tower, after everybody was off, she went through the plane on a security sweep, then headed back up the jetway to the gate, and it was only as she got back up there and took a moment to look at the television running the CNN broadcast that she finally got the news that the Islamofascists had attacked the WTC, and that the FAA had grounded all flights.

Some of you have probably never seen the lincense plates for the front of your car/truck that have the old Yankee soldier and the old Rebel soldier with the words "Forget Hell" or "Hell no, I ain't forget'n."

We need some of those with a picture of the twin towers burning and "Forget Hell" or "Hell No! We ain't forget'n" written on them.
