We've all seen the posts. Someone disagrees with some DUmbasses "brilliant" point or the thread gets unrec'ed down to sub-zero or some such and out comes the crying that paid infiltrators are at work.
We're also told that the Tea Party is too small to be a real movement...until they can flip the House of Reps by historic margins or put up massive public showings.
We're then told these are rent-a-mobs--not to be confused with unions.
But one must ask: how much does it take to rent mobs? Well, if the 2010 election is any indication the mob is millions strong which means the payment to individuals, plus cost of organizing, plus transportation, plus communications and mobilization would place this in the hundreds of millions. In fact, it is said that it takes so much money that the billionaire Koch brothers are the only real viable suspects.
But why would the Koch brothers pay hundreds of millions in their own money to mobilize these mobs?
Supposedly, to avoid paying tens of millions of dollars more in taxes.
Now, bunnies are not known for their math skills but I think hundreds of millions is more than tens of millions so one wonders how any self-respecting capitalist sees the cost-benefit analysis in this equation especially considering corporations pass along rather than pay taxes.
Moreover, the rent-a-mob is supposedly taking payments from rich people to protest government programs that redistribute wealth from the rich. If the Tea Party rent-a-mob really wanted more money from rich people all they would have to do is stay home and allow the democrats to send them a check via welfare or a tax credit for solar-powered flashlights or some such.
Of course, what the TP is crying for is to be left alone and for life to cost a little less. Contrast this with the unions, Section-8 mafia, welfare army that show up and demand--what?--more of other people's money. They aren't so much a rent-a-mob so much as they are Mob 'o Muggers.

Maybe BNN needs to do an in depth investigative report showing how much the Koch brothers paid the mobs and how much they stand to benefit in tax relief. Put those bunny math skills to work.

Reminds me of the Million Man march where all homeless were rounded up and given a bus ride and 1 bag lunch, 2 cans of beer and 1 packs of smokes to take a free ride to DC.
I do so wish someone, anyone would hire me to be a professional protester, travel about the country for free, what fun, two baloney sandwitches a day a couple beers to wash it down and smoke's, all I have to do is hold a sign and wave it about when told to.
A free vacation every couple of weeks, interesting people to meet, I don't know why more board retired folk don't take advantage of all these mini-vacations.

SSB, One reason liberals believe this is because they DO it. This story is a couple of years old, but a classic. Unions hiring non-union unemployed people to walk picket lines for minimum wage:
So instead, the union hires unemployed people at the minimum wage—$8.25 an hour—to walk picket lines. Mr. Raye says he's grateful for the work, even though he's not sure why he's doing it. "I could care less," he says. "I am being paid to march around and sound off."

I remember a democrat state congressman about 1990 telling a few of us at a local rally that the majority of the protesters on any subject in Tallahassee amounted to local college students and some street bums getting paid twenty dollars and a couple of sadwiches for a couple hours work.

I did allude to this phenomenon in my last sentence and if I may repeat myself: herein lies lies the difference. Tea Partiers protest to NOT be given other people's money. They must work against the current tide so as to not be overtaken and made wards of the state. If they simply sat back and did nothing the government would give them medicine, stipends and tax credits far above any paltry amount the Kochs might offer.
Liberals, in contrast, not only protest to become captivated by the system--think of the character Cipher from the sci-fi film The Matrix who wanted to be plugged back in to the system--and they protest to have their benefits increased, their chains made all the tighter.
But you are right: they project it on to us because they do it themselves. They lack the requisite imagination, honesty and contemplate natures to reason our real motives.

After sitting and observing the hordes go past the entryway of WalMart one day while waiting for my wife and sister to finish up shopping, I can assure you- all you need to do is go apply to be a door greeter somewhere. You'll get more excitement and people watching done on your first day than you would have ever thought possible.

Paid vacations! Where do I sign up!
However, I'd prefer to supply my own transportation and housing, so could I get paid in cash instead of beer and bologna?
I would stand out more than the rest of the crowd. I would be the only one that didn't smell like the north end of a south-bound hippo.

I used to take my breaks with the door greeter when I worked at Wallyworld. He loved the off the cuff remarks I'd make about the "freak show" (for lack of a better term) coming thru the doors.
Examples of which when I referred to a tall, thin, dark-skinned man wearing a black turban as "Osama bin Trucking", and referring to a gang of Goth-looking youth as a "circus sideshow", remarking that one youth with an overabundance of piercings as having "fallen face first into an open fishing tackle box".

From what I learned at the zoo in DC, hippos and other vegetarians animals don't pass gas the same way carnivores do.
Someone did a study on the smell of the offal left by carnivores and vegetarian humans and beasts.
Interesting study for humans, the urine of a vegetarian is very clear, the urine of a meat eater is yellow.
Far as worrying about the smell of the others, better wonder about their intent.
