Great set of op-eds in the NYTimes about rising HIV rates amongst young black MSM
I really suggest that you guys read it. It disproves some of our basic assumptions about younger black MSM engaging in down-low/riskier behaviors etc. I would love if you all read it before commenting.

Some of my fav quotes were
"To fight AIDS among young black men who have sex with men, first we have to fight homophobia. We can't expect to resolve the crisis if people are too afraid to talk about it." Keith Boykins
"Yes, H.I.V. continues to disproportionately affect gay and bisexual men in the United States, particularly young black gay men. But we should not leap to the conclusion that these disparities in infections are neatly explained by higher-risk behavior. More than 150 research studies have compared sexual and drug risk among black and white gay men in the United States. On the whole, black gay men do not engage in riskier sex, report fewer male sex partners, report less drug use, and are just as likely to get tested for H.I.V. as white gay men. Why then do black gay men continue to bear the brunt of H.I.V.?" Greg Millet
And then there is something less tangible, but equally crucial. Young black gay and bisexual men are uniquely at risk for lots of stuff — hate crime, homelessness, poverty, you name it. When people don’t have the economic or emotional resources to protect themselves from a whole host of threats, they can’t protect themselves from this virus either. No, there is no simple, singular fix for that reality. But that doesn’t mean we can’t all work together to change it." Kay Wright

3. Unless I missed it no mention of misogny. No suggestion that they may be
taking pleasure messing with women's emotions. I had an uncle, white Catholic who married in the 50s to hide his sexuality. My very devout aunt became something of a monster, really unhinged but she never, out of shame, told anyone what she was enduring. My uncle presented himself as a victim of a crazy woman, one he didn't divorce because of his religion. It was only after her death did the story come out from my cousin (who btw is gay) that my uncle, who it seems hated women, deloiberately drove her over the edge.

7. "God delivered me from homosexuality!" - on stage at a Presidential candidate rally
When hate like this goes out unchallenged, what message does it send to youth?
What's MSM?Mainstream Media. You know, the Washington Post, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Newsweek, ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, Associated Press, Reuters, etc etc etc. Basically, anything that's not Fox News or al Jazeera (not that I'm comparing the two, but I got to give the DUmmies something).
I lead a sheltered life.

What's the story behind the "clean your apartment" comment?

Several years ago she posted pics of herself in her tiny NYC shithole apartment. And it made the TV show "Hoarders" look tidy.

Right now I'm living that life - but thats because I'm totally rehabbing half of the living room (double parlor, separated by a pair of columns) and all the furniture that was in that room is now in a few other rooms making for a messy cluttered experience. I have most of the wall repairs and painting done, and soon I'm going to start the floor sanding and refinishing.. By hand - no bigass, destructive floor sander for me. Then its on to the other half.. :p
Just one photo to show where I'm going with it..(http://miskie.net/room.jpg)
Anyway for me, the clutter is a temporary setback. How people can live packed to the rafters with stuff is a mystery to me. Hell, I think there is too much stuff in the house as-is and would like to discard a large percentage of it.
Very nice!
She posted her pic with 3/4 of her boobiez hanging out
I did that at my current house. It took me five years. I pulled all of the wood off, dip stripped it and refinished it. Hardwood floors throughout. Replace all doors with six panel, solid core. Took the bathrooms and kitchen to the studs and sub-floor.
My wife got so fed up, she rented an apartment. :)
That seems like it might apply to much of the liberal main stream media.
Simple enough. The Black homos are taking bigger ones up the pooper, and the Asian ones smaller. Tissue damage and therefore chance of infection is proportional to the size of what's trying to squeeze through the Hershey Tunnel against the traffic markings.
Or possibly the survey failed to correct for homos who are also having sex with African green monkeys.
Link?
:-)
Someone has to have that saved somewhere....
Photosharing pictures don't show up for me, but here's a thread with pics of the bull-dyke and the girlfriend:

WTF? Seriously, WTF?
Is this more of the "because they are fags, they don't get the care they need" meme?
I honestly think its some sort of "because you don't approve of them they're too demoralized to use condoms" tripe.
