So help me.

Skin's island is so boring, so slow, tonight, that I went to the Nebraska forum.

Drowning in Red Excrement

Sorry, that's very graphic. But I miss my Oregon and California Blueness once in a while...especially working in the Financial Services industry in Teabag-ska. Luckily there are a few open minded folk hovering around the college towns and larger cities in Nebraska for me to get an occasional glimpse!

For those fellow enlightened Huskers, thanks for making yourself known to me, I don't feel quite so alone!

1. I know the feeling.

I'm across the river but the excrement is just a deep over here (it's less deep in the rest of IA). We lived in WA state for a couple years. After returning to IA we contemplated a move to Oregon but could make it happen.

2. I'm glad to see Nebraskans on here.

Are there others?

Hmmmm.  Cool screen-name.

Anyway, yeah, there's Nebraskans here, but they don't seem to come to the Nebraska forum.

3. I'm more of a lurker now, but I'm still around.

The Democratic party had it's shot here in 2006 & 8 and now we'll be lucky to have a single Democrat in a Federal level office by 2013.

Uh-huh.

4. Here in "outstate" Nebraska, it's just the way things are.

For the most part, the benefits outweigh the challenges though.

I have family here, so I coping skills to live in a red state. But it is getting harder to not say WTF at every turn.

I do some campaign work, meander the book stores. Anything to clean the air.

Hmmmm.  One wonders what that was all about.

Anyway, the above's the whole campfire.

I've always found the state forums kind of sad and pathetic.

I think the Wyoming forum's last post was 2005.

What is the unemployment rate in Nebraska vs California?

4.1% versus 11.7% for May 2011, I guess.

Yeah, but in California they get a lot more public services.
Everyone works in Nebraska because there's nothing else to do.

Actually, that's not too far off.

But consider the alternative.

Poor Dims.  They may not make it back out of Nebraska without growing some common sense.   :rotf:

Well? F'n leave! We Red-Staters don't want you Blue-State liberal scumbags turning our states into Washington state, Oregon, or Colorado, ALL who were quite red until the cockroach infestation by you libs escaping the same damn policies you created in California.

12% unemployment in Kalifornia is what a green business culture provides... and $25 billion budget deficits.

I had a long conversation with my state representative (hardcore leftist) about a green job business environment. I sent him the report from what Spain had experienced. It showed over the decade that for every green job created 2.2 real jobs were lost. The man could not understand that basic bit of arithmetic and kept pointing out how the federal government was giving the state money to create green public sector jobs.

1+1=POTATO

Yep, that's liberals for you, thoroughly screw up a place and then run away from it.

I was browsing the Georgia forums this morning and there were several threads with people saying they were moving due to property taxes, income taxes, etc., and asking about GA. Then, no more than 3 posts later, everyone is asking how they can turn my state blue. I cannot HELP but to think, "DAMNIT! Don't you DUmbasses see now why we say liberalism is a mental disorder?"

Go to the SC forum. You'll see the same thing.

Yeah, I know.

The strongest supporters of the local Tea Party and Republican party are yankee transplants up in the upper part of the county. Unfortunately, I think they are out numbered by the DUmbass liberal yankee transplants also up in that end of the county.
