Title: County worker's Sears Bouncy: Chapter Two (shown to be fictitious)
Post by: dandi on January 17, 2011, 11:26:33 PM
County shirker didn't get 100% love and adoration from his fellow DUmbasses in his first Sears bouncy.

http://www.conservativecave.com/index.php/topic,54163.0.html

So now he weaves a few more tangles into the web to prove to The Hive that he is, indeed, a Hero Of The Revolution.

¡Viva la Revolución!:

I got a reply from Sears.

Edited on Mon Jan-17-11 07:56 PM by county worker
The Sears store in our town had Fox News on about 10 tv's yesterday.

We went to look at appliances and I asked the sales person to please change the channel on those TV's. She said she had to play what the home office tells her to.

I ended up sending the home office this email:

I went into the Sears store in Lompoc, CA today. My wife and I need to buy a new refrigerator and washer and dryer.
I applied for a Sears charge and got $5,000 credit. I noticed that about 10 TV sets in the store had Fox News Channel on. I asked the sales person to please change the channel on those TV’s since Fox is not news but extreme right wing propaganda and lies.
She told me that she has to put on what the home office tells her to put on. I asked for the number of the home office and she said she would have to dig it out.

The lies on Fox news are helping to fuel the class war in this country which is responsible for the disappearance of the middle class and for the shutting down of businesses in Lompoc, CA.
I will not be buying my refrigerator and washer and dryer from Sears as long as Fox news is on the TV’s in the Sears stores.
Please have the store in Lompoc change the channel from Fox news and let me know when they did it.

I got this reply:
Dear ,

get their attention. Glad you followed through. Wish more people would.

22. Or she may have been disciplined

with unpaid leave or even fired.

I'd be interested in knowing whether your complaint led to action being taken against her.

But what the hell...there's honor in being the catalyst in the possible ****ing up of someone else's life as long as the entire world is saved from the dire threat of Fox News.

Not to worry. Nothing in this story ever happened.

29. If she's dumb enough to to torture customers with fox she deserves to have her life ****ed up.

Maybe she will come out this experience realizing other people don't want to be subjected to right wing propaganda.

But thanks for the sentiment, anyway. Very "progressive".

That response sounds kind of copy & paste, fill in a few blanks, and send it to the complainer.

I still don't understand why someone can be so butt hurt over the TV's at Sears.  But then again, it's hard to understand how a DUmmies brain works, or doesn't work.

The letter is obviously a form letter and did not even address the DUmmies complaint.

So, DUmmie must be a lip reader...or superman with super hearing.

JohnnyReb is right, the sound is always turned off.  Otherwise, there would be a cacophony which would set shoppers' teeth on edge.  If this were true, and it's not, all you'd see is a beautiful blonde or brunette talking head, silent.  All I ever see are nature shows or sports.  They need to display the gorgeous color and definition.

dandi..."County Shirker"  I like that.   :lmao:

DUmbass is thrilled that he got a form letter.  Probably computer-generated.  No employee of Sears Holding Corporation paced the floor wringing his hands over the snivelling little bureaucrat.
Title: Re: County worker's Sears Bouncy: Chapter Two
Post by: miskie on January 18, 2011, 07:19:55 AM
This is such an odd tale - fairly unbelievable - as everytime I am in Sears, the TVs are playing content specifically made for Sears to play on display TVs. The only exception is when there is a big news/weather thing on, or a big game.

If the TVs were on FOX News, it probably had to do with the Arizona shooter.

Either it's not NEARLY as difficult as it used to be to get a Sears credit card, or the DUmmies are going to be very, very, very surprised when he gets that $5K bill with an interest rate of around 25-30 percent...

My email to Sears customer service:

It has come to my attention that if true, I am extremely disappointed with Sears handling of a recent event!

I ran across this post from an extreme left wing web site and truly hope this is not how Sears customer service operates. Below is verbatim from a customer who complained of Fox News being shown on the TVs in one of your retail outlets. I would like to think your response to this is far from the truth.

If this "story" is indeed true, I would ask Mr. Miguel G. if he listens to every complaint this way and takes action in order to please a single customer when in fact many others would disagree with this opinion?

I have been doing business with Sears for 40 years and have a credit line with you that exceeds this particular whiner. If this is indeed how you operate, I will no longer frequent your establishments as I can buy tools, of which I have several thousand dollars worth with the Craftsman logo on them, in many other places with the same guarantee.

If you are willing to listen to one disgruntled customer at the expense of the rest of us, then I no longer need to transact with such a close minded retailer!

I await your response.

Wanna bet I get the same fill in the blanks form letter?

This store is about 40 miles away. Too far to go to. I wish the DUchebag would have used the Santa Barbara store and then I could investigate. I too have lots of Craftsman hand, air, and power tools for both personal and business use. The business has been driven out by the CDP of kalifornia but I know they could look up records of both accounts and see tens of thousands in PAID bills not a future sale on credit that will most likely default.

I do have a broken craftsman vice grip that I will take to the SB store.  If FOX is not on I shall be outrageously outraged and get it back on.

Went to Casual Men store last night that was playing Hannity (http://demopedia.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=104x2833273)

My email to them this morning:

To whom it may concern,

Last evening I was shopping for new clothing in your Naperville, Illinois store. I like the products and pricing, however, this experience was a nightmare.

There was no problem getting help, trying on the clothing, or finding clothing. The problem was the choice of radio "entertainment" piped over the store's speaker system.

What I heard was despicable hate radio from Sean Hannity. I do not choose to listen to hate radio, nor do I expect to hear it from a store I am choosing to shop. This sort of radio programming is inappropriate for a public store that expects to service all members of the public. This demonstrates a political bias by your company that is unacceptable.

Unfortunately, this experience has forced me to forgo any further business with your company in any location in the world until I am informed that company policy forbids political hate radio broadcasts from the public areas of your stores.

Sincerely,
Walter E. Starr
Aurora, Illinois

I don't think poor ol' Walt ever heard back though.  So no bouncy.

We'll see what sears has to say in regard to the email I sent, so far, no response. I also let them know I will send this out on the interweb so everyone will see what these asshats are pullin'!

I know many of the Sears Associates on a first name basis. They are the ones who encouraged me to write the email. They don't even want to lose the Ranch's business!

We only have a catalog store here except for major appliances, tools and TVs. I just want to see if Miguel is actually a real person or if the DUmbass made him up too, ie, Latin American, if ya know what I mean. They have to victimize everyone!

I'll burn a mole to slap this dipshit in the face with the truth!

Oh, you mean I was supposed to show feigned outrage at Wally World when all the televisions were showing CNN at 7:30 in the morning on the day before Thanksgiving?  I was supposed to get nodding heads, conversions, and security guards coming out to haul away welfare miscreants from the cheap toy aisles?

Oh my, Lord Rove will NOT be pleased.

So.....

I went to Sears this afternoon because we need new vacuum bags for our Oreck.  Sears had their heat on.  It felt like it was 90 degrees in there.  I asked the older white lady in the vacuum department if they had Oreck bags.  She said they didn't.  Right across the vacuum area was the electronics department.  The TVs were all tuned to some Sears channel.  It kept playing the same Sears propaganda crap over and over again.  Something about getting a credit card and what not.

I'm thinking about e-mailing corporate over the temperature in the store though.  That was just ridiculous.  Miguel G. has a lot of explaining to do.

Walmart has their own "network" that plays on their TV's.

Back in 2008 when our store was undergoing a remodeling, they had half of our on one DVD player, and half on another.  I got SOOOOO tired of watching "Finding Nemo" and "Game Plan", I was about ready to scream!

I asked the manager if I could bring some DVD's from home to play, and he said yes, as long as they were no worse than PG-13.  We got to watch "Kelly's Heros" and "Cars" that night.

The next night, Walmart had "the network" back on.   :argh:

Just so everyone knows, I have yet to get response from the email I sent to Seras Customer Service over the DUmmies alleged fabrication.

I fully believe they will answer eventually, and when they do, I will post the results.
