No, not Gunny Ermy! Please say it isn't so!
That was the only Geico ad that I'd listen to without hitting the mute button. Now it turns out that he's a conservative Fox-News-parroting scumbag? Apparently that's what's coming up on Countdown.

Yeah who would have thought that Ermy wasn't a lib? :lmao: :lmao:
-
Not possible for Ermy to be a democrat. He shows no sign of being gay.

Only the most deluded, clueless, brain dead DUmbass in existence.
Someone's looking for a trip to Mind Numbing Stupidity.
-
Sometimes the color yellow just makes me sad.
-
I begin to see where the DUmbasses think that the military would side with the communist democrat in the WH come shit hit the fan time.
-
R. Lee has actually worked for a living. Something the jackwagons on DU haven't ever done.
-
I'm pleased to hear it, but I ain't surprised.
Now I want to see Full Metal Jacket again (tho' I usually skip ahead to the Tet Offensive whenever I throw the DVD in).

6. Dumb **** had to apologize after he used a charity event
to shit on Obama, blaming Obama for the poor Toys for Tots turnout.
"The Blaze reports Tuesday that retired Marine drill instructor R. Lee Ermey issued an apology for remarks he made last week regarding President Obama destroying America and implementing socialism.
Speaking to a crowd about the Toys for Tots program, Ermey said it was struggling because "the economy really sucks."
http://www.examiner.com/conservative-in-spokane/r-lee-e...
I wish Ermey had half a chance to shove a Kabar into walldouche's heart.
-
I'd love to see Wall-dud say that to Sgt. Ermey's face.
Isn't 'The Blaze' the new Newsweek blog?
-
This proves how stupid Dummies are. Anyone with then one brain cell knows the Gunny was a Conservative . If all those Mail Call episodes on the History channel didn/t clue you in then maybe yoiu should have listened to him a bit more when he was in Full Metal Jacket.

6. Dumb ****
Speaking of DUmb, don't forget that DUmmy walldude is the genius who sabotaged his employer, then bragged about it at the DUmp with enough detail that his employer could be identified. Some Lousy Freeper contacted the employer, and DUmmy walldude was fired. He was instantly back at the DUmp, screaming about how unfair it was. That was several years ago, and he's still a freeloader. If you stereotype democrat voters, you get a pretty accurate profile of DUmmy walldude.

This is the same guy who referred to the execs at the History Channel as a bunch of (expletive) Communists when were discussing him bringing Mail Call to tape a segment at The Old Guard.
The Gunny you see in Full Metal Jacket is almost 100% the RL former Marine.
-
Ermey was initially a technical advisor on Full Metal Jacket, but director Stanley Kubrick changed his mind after Ermey put together an instructional tape to convince Kubrick he was the right person for the role, in which Ermey went on a classic drill instructor tirade towards several Royal Marines cast as extras. Kubrick also allowed Ermey to write or edit his own dialogue and improvise on the set.
And the rest is history. :lmao:

Ya know what makes me sad? You do, ya Jack Wagon! Need a kleenex? Fetch!
Man after my own heart!
I luv that guy! Ever since Full Metal Jacket! Amazing the loonie tune in that movie turned out to be Goren in L and O Criminal Intent! Turns out, the guy really is a loonie toon, if what his co-stars say is true!
Ermy's latest is openin' pistachios just by yellin' at 'em! lol!

The helicopter gunner was originally cast as the DI in the movie. I'd love to see some screen tests from that guy.

He also played the farmer who's truck got hit by the UFO near the beginning of Men in BLack and became the big bug. :lmao:

Yep, I've heard that story several times. I've had the pleasure of meeting him too at a radio broadcast similar to the one where he made these remarks.
I was listening to the radio broadcast in question live when he made the remarks. It's my afternoon show that I regularly listen too. I'm almost surprised it has taken this long to make national news. His remarks were pretty scathing but excellent.
Have the DUmmies and/or Olberdork started an on-line petition to get him removed from the GEICO ads yet?
-

He's also the one that came back and said he had started his own business and was making 1,000,000,000 times more money than he did and he wanted to THANK those who turned him in.
Shortly thereafter he was posting about how he had no money and couldn't afford insurance and other miscellaneous crap.
Perfect example of a DUmmie.

We saw him at the NRA national convention in Houston a few years ago. Didn't actually get to meet him because I didn't want to stand in line but we stood a few feet from him and listened to him talking to those who were coming up for autographs. He was a riot!

I can't believe that any of the DUmmies didn't know that he was a conservative. It always seemed pretty obvious to me. I know quite a few Marines IRL and they're all very conservative. I guess you have to hit DUmmies over the head sometimes though. :hammer:
-
Wait a minute...did Towlie honest-to-God think that R. Lee Ermy was a bleeding heart liberal? I've seen Towlie before, and he is stunningly stupid. Keeping an eye on him perhaps.

There goes Ermey's invite to the Towlie's Lunar New Year's fireside drum-circle. :(

No shit! I mean c'mon!
The guy's show on the History Channel is: "Lock and Load with R. Lee Ermey" for craps sake!
Doesn't exactly jump out as a lib title now, does it?
Idiots!

You're talking about Roe Conn and Richard Roeper's show on WLS!!!!!
Yeah, I listen to Roe and Roeper online from time to time, and I know Roe has a major league bromance going with R. Lee, and has for some time now. :-)

You got it. Roeper is a relatively new addition. I think he started last March or April. He's turned out to be an excellent partner to Roe.
You nailed it on the bromance with R. Lee. :lmao:

Oh of course!!!!
Their sign-off each night at 4:00 (well, 6:00 Chicago time) is "Good night, ladies!! Hit it, sweetheart."
I've been an online listener since '93, I think, when it was still Roe Conn and Garry Meier.
Jim Johnson and the Carnable Wagon however, reign supreme!!!

Yeah, I've been listening since the late 90's, which was not long after I moved there.
I played in the 2003 Roe & Garry golf outing, and our group won the entire event.
Got to meet Roe, Garry & Jim, received some very cool prizes. Christina wasn't on the team yet, or it was one of the times where she had been fired.
I even had a brown mumbler on New Years Eve in Pasadena last week. :-)

Doesn't that freakin figure?!?!?!? I was in Chicago last week, and you were out in my neck of the woods. Gotta say it was a real kick listening to the show, complete with the local news, traffic and commericals. They usually broadcast dead air or some stupid music loop to those of us online listeners.
Glad you had a great time in Pasadena, and that your Frogs kicked some serious ass!!! :cheersmate: :cheersmate: :cheersmate:

H5 to Tex for taking the time out to confirm what most of us already knew....
R. Lee Ermy is one major league, ball-breaking, ass-kicking, nail-spitting, blood-pissing, quim-conquering PIMP!!!!! :rotf: :cheersmate:

It's kind of unique to the Midwest and the radio show I was referring to:
This is a northern Wisconsin expression which is used to describe any number of stiff drinks made with whiskey or Brandy. Commonly used to describe a Manahatan or a Brandy Old Fashion.

It's the Silver Star, not the Bronze Star. And I can't tell what that last one on the bottom (opposite the RVN service campaingn medal) is either.

So I don't have to look it up, what's the difference between the two?
-
I just went over and looked at that thread. It's interesting. Remember when the guy who did the lizard's voice called and left some drunk message slamming (someone on the right but I can't remember who and don't want to search for it right now)? If I remember right he was ultimately fired over the voice message.
The DUmp was ECSTATIC that happened and condemned GEICO for firing him.
Interesting how things turn out .... isn't it.
KC

Silver Star is for comspicuous gallantry in action.
Bronze Star is also for acts of heroism.
It all depends on what one did, and can be subjective. To be honest I don't know the difference. It depends on what the Brass feels was more important.

Hmmmmmmmm, that's about as clear as mud, ain't it?
Maybe Tank or Tx can clear the waters..........so to speak.
-
He's also one of the key spokesmen for the Marine Corps Identity Cause (http://www.marinecause.com/). However, I will say when a Marine veers left he does it with vigor...see Jack Murtha (I hope it's really hot where he is) and Jim Webb.

Too bad TomInTib isn't still around to explain. TiTtyboy had a whole drawer full of Silver Stars, even after he tossed a shoebox full of decorations into San Francisco Bay.

Silver Star is the third highest award for valor in the Army (Below MoH and DSC), pretty much the same with the Marines but I don't know if they award the DSC or the Navy Cross for #2. Bronze Star with V device (for valor) is the fourth highest, however Bronze Stars without the V are also awarded for reasons of distinguished acts or service other than combat in a war zone (which is referred to as 'For service,' a confusing term if you are not familiar with the service jargon involved).

So we are talkin' the "Silver Star", correct?
So, pretty much what your sayin' is, Mr. R Lee Ermey has looked death in the face enough times defending me and mine that he deserves our utmost respect! And heaven help the cocksucker who says any different in my presence!
OOOOORAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you sir! I wanted to make sure I understood the man's decorations for conduct above and beyond what has ever been asked of me!!
