My neighbors signs

It makes me sick to see those republican signs in his yard.

He is a mentally challenged adult working as a dishwasher.

He is living in HUD supported housing.

I suppose he attended public schools, likely special ed.

I can't bring myself to discuss politics with him.

It is just so wrong for him to support a party which would leave him on the street to fend for himself...

Speechless, and so ready for those signs to go away so I won't be reminded of this insanity.

3. Quit worrying about your neighbor

Put up your own signs.

Working to help YOUR cause works a lot better, than sitting around complaining because he's working to help HIS cause.

Just my 2 cents.

15. "He is a mentally challenged adult"

Aren't most RWers "mentally challenged" vote vs their best interests, and succeed in cutting their collective noses off, to spite their faces?

Seems like the ones that are the most active, wealthy, and vocal, also run for government office.

Unfortunately, some of the absolute worst were voted in or (s)elected like the Shrub, his Poppy, and Reagone.

I should visit the county Republican office here and see if they'd give me some signs to put in my yard. Of course they would be put in my back yard near the property line.

Once and for all DUmbasses....

You define "best interests" as what benefits you personally and that alone.
Then you go on to call others selfish and greedy. :whatever:

As a conservative I understand that my best interests lay with a government that meets it Constitutional mandate and then very little more.
Under those conditions I can make my way through life for better or worse without ever once having to wallow in a cesspool of envy.

You will never be happy or satisfied because once one wish is granted another will soon follow.
You disgust me and are a burden to society.

My "best interests" are for you to rot away to nothing,no one will notice and nothing will be lost.

Reagan, GHWB and GWB have done more for the disabled than any other president you freakin moron.   GWB's "No Child Left Behind Act" forced school districts to actually teach students with disabilities, instead of housing them in the windowless classrooms in the basement.

It was Scott Brown, another Republican who listened to the pleas of state and federal disability advocates when FMAP was shot down in Congress (because it was attached to extremely bloated and unnecessary federal stimulus spending), and reintroduced a smaller bill so that states could reinstate lethal cuts to human services benefits (which were limited to those who are significantly impaired by their disabilities).   Liberal Governors have a long history of gutting services to our most needy in lieu of making cuts to their key interest groups' line items.

Like everything else, you just don't have a freakin clue.

No the excuse would be that the mother had no idea who the child's father was. Best kill the child then have to raise it ---GASP by herself.  Darn it is hard to get baby sitters when all your friends go clubbing and having fun and you are stuck at home alone with a screaming baby.

The mother was just out of college and needed a carear and her husband did not want kids.------Later on the mother would find she could have no more kids due to complications of the abortion and her husband would leave her for a woman with 3 kids from a former marriage and pregnant with his kid.

Libs take care of unfortunate situations very fast--little do they know that down the road they will regret the quick fix for any kind of commitment.

Along a busy street here in my town, there are 2 adjacent yards, with 2 campaign signs in them.

The first one has a sign for our 14 term incumbent House member, the second one for his Republican challenger.

The second one is not only bigger, but has floodlights on both sides, illuminating it at night.  The first one is dark.

They have been up for over a month, and the first one has yet to put floodlights, or even a flashlight, on his.   :rotf:

Somebody put razor blades behind one of his signs a few years back, to discourage such actions, but was hauled to court by one of the campaign workers when they almost lost the end of their fingers taking down the signs.

You got it, sir.

It's a problem in real life too, Democrats, liberals, and primitives getting all upset and bent out of shape and hostile because one's supporting one's self instead of going on to their plantation.

Trust me; it happens.

I'm just having cognitive dissonance with the OP.  A guy putting a sign in HIS lawn sounds like a successful homeowner, not a section 8 apartment dweller.  Mentally challenged or not.  No, I think the OP made this up, and then endowed his fictional character with certain needs that require government nanny protection.

Same way they make up stories about Teapartiers carrying signs that say "Government hands off my Medicare!"  It never happened.  The tale is getting old and tired.

Exactly, Carl.  I'd rather live dirt poor in a USA where a limited gov't stays off my back and virtually out of my life than filthy rich in a USA the way the liberals would have it.   Being filthy rich under Big Brother is still being a slave to the gov't.  At least with limited gov't, I'm free.  Freedom is worth much more than money.

Here, houses can qualify for Section 8. As long as the property owner meets the guidelines required, and the rent is within the guidelines, it can be qualified.

That was the first "real" job I ever had.  I bussed tables and washed dishes for $3.35 an hour and it taught me many excellent lessons that I have carried forward (25 years) to this very day.

The biggest lesson I learned is that I didn't want to do that for the rest of my life.

Amen to this. Even if a serf is a well-fed serf, his condition is dependent upon the whim of his owner. What the government can give, the government can take away. I would prefer living in the most remote Mississippi backwater, not subject to California-style regulation, to all the "entitlements" a government can dream up. It's not as we don't pay for them anyway. I prefer to decide for myself the worth and value of things, not have the government take my money and decide for me.

Well, I got the back seat of my pickup full of political signs. The Obama supporting brothers have torn down my one sign 3 times and each time I repaired it and put it back up. The last time they pulled it up and threw it under the  bridge down the road where all the gang signs are painted under the bridge.

I'm gonna have a yard full from now on. I got a Jim DeMint sign, a Nicky Haley sign, A Mick Mulvaney sign, a Vote Republican sign and a Sack Spratt sign....gonna keep the brothers busy between now and November.
