I agree.
Another thing I have been thinking about is today Obama made a comment about the Internet, media and Koran burning guy. It made me think this whole thing was blown out of proportion as another case against an "unregulated" Internet and the need for the fairness doctrine. But I was wearing my tinfoil hat today.
Organizations including NASA, Comcast, AIG, Disney, Proctor & Gamble, Florida Department of Transportation and Wells Fargo are just a few of the organizations apparently affected by the worm, which appears to have sent out hundreds of thousands, if not millions of e-mails.Quotehttp://www.conservativecave.com/index.php/topic,48451.0.html
A test in what way thundley?
What it will take to trigger a government shut down of the internet in the interest of national security.
An attack on Government computer systems and servers may very well qualify.........

From the thread in breaking news about a new virus.
That is a nice wide assortment for testing purposes.
Hey Thundley?? Who was the OP of that virus thread?? (Hint, Hint: ME) I knew where you got it from and was essentially concurring. A virus attack of this magnitude COULD be reason to shut down the internet. I would hate to think our .gov would do that, but then again, I hate to think about what Lord Zero has already done.
In many ways technology is very vulnerable. The Internet is very choked up right now. It likely does not take that much to shut it down.
I don't like the way that many businesses & the Government rely on the internet. We're too tied to tech and much of our daily lives depend on it. Other than for entertainment & discussion, corporate and Government entities should have some sort of back up plan. Hell, I went to a store a few months ago and couldn't buy a damned thing because the power was out. 30 or more years ago, that really wouldn't have mattered for most people. I went to the Reserves Center to update my DEERS a few years ago, I had to come back another day because the "net was down".....
