In the end, the next chapter of the South Hadley bullying story isn’t really about innocence versus guilt. It’s about proportional versus disproportional punishment. All of the kids accused of hurting Phoebe Prince have been kicked out of school. They have been the focus of intense, public rage. They’ve been blamed for the suicide of a vulnerable, troubled girl. They will live with this always. Maybe that is already enough.
The writer is blaming the victim. Poorly written article. I can see why the world likes to call us Americans the "Ugly American" and South Hadley reinforces that image. It is also a Democratic stronghold and home to many radical leftist colleges.

The writer is blaming the victim. Poorly written article. I can see why the world likes to call us Americans the "Ugly American" and South Hadley reinforces that image. It is also a Democratic stronghold and home to many radical leftist colleges.
Not so much as blame the victim but to explain why she was chosen to become a victim.
Was it her own actions that drew the scorn of the other kids or was she just chosen at random to be bullied and harassed.
There are lots of ways to look at this, she was a new girl in town, very attractive and with her accent drew people to her. Could have been allot of jealousy over her, BUT , there had to have been other girls better looking and that would cause Jealousy.
Where do the boys fit in here, what was their stake in the game? WTF really went on, this is not a cut and dried incident, were the Bully's really Evil, did they know that by their actions she would commit suicide.?
We just have to wait and watch for the trial to find out the answers to some of these questions.

Agreed. They are all slime of humanity along side with Osama bin Laden, Jeffrey Dahmer, and Seung-Hui Cho.

The defence lawyers are doing their job, WHAT, you expect them to throw their clients to the wolves.??
Their job is not to determin their innocence or guilt, their job is to defend their clients actions. Give reasonable doubt and other slants to the story to the Jury.
As I have said before and will say again, wait for the trial, then as a 13 Th. Juror make up your own mind.
