That is horrible! I wonder why they decided to fly the jet in such nasty weather?
-
They were headed to a memorial for the victims of the Katyn (sp?) massacre in 1940, where Soviet troops exectued tens of thousands of captured Polish military officers. The plane was trying to land in what is being described as "thick fog."

Terrible accidents do happen. While I don't want to join the ranks of conspiracy types, I am reminded of Russian adventurism in Georgia...AND the Russian poisoning of the Georgian president.
Putin is fighting the cold war all over again. Obama is oblivious to it. But Pooty toot wants his satellite/slave nations back in the fold again.
With Russia's recent history of belligerence...can anyone blame the conspiracy types?
-
The entire top brass of their military and government.
Thats not suspicious at all.
Russia wins again. Putin is investigating personally. The Fox is in charge of finding out who broke into the henhouse.
decapitation strike.

It was idiotic to have all those top people on the same plane.

Such a tragedy to wake up too this morning :( Thoughts with the families and people of Poland on their loss.
Speaking of, has our Dear Leader Numbnuts expressed condolences on behalf of the American people to Poland ? Or will Sarah Palin beat him to it with her facebook entry?
-
It was idiotic to have all those top people on the same plane.
Ttrue, but they don't have as many choices in other countries as we do here.
-
wow - that should make for some chaos
Prayers for all involved.

Its still pretty strange to see this many officials on a single plane

i agree, i read somewhere else that 3 or 4 planes went, and the others made it safely
-
Prayers and condolences to the country of Poland for their loss and to all of the families. Its a horrible tragedy that's taken place .
-
It was idiotic to have all those top people on the same plane.
Absolutely it was. I know companies that don't even put the top management in the same plane.

Now there's a job I wouldn't want....baby sitting Joe Biden.

Imagine that! Look who shows up at the slightest mention of the USSR!
Color me shocked :whatever:
-
:thatsright:Thats just great. I thought CC banned JM.
-
Oh Lawdy. Some people on the interwebs are already saying that Vlad "The Impaler" Putin had something to do with this. :mental:

No, just been a while since anyone has blamed the USSR or Marxism for some dastardly deed, so he didn't feel the need to post.

Russia has been making moves in Ukraine, Georgia and now Kyrgyzistan. They are definitely upset about the Polish governments cooperation with the US.
So, no, I wouldn't put it past them.

Nor I. But this appears to just be an accident. No doubt though that Vlad is privately happy about it.

so no one here disliked that nuclear weapons treaty? no one disliked what happened in Kyrgyzstan? I guess its ok to make statements like that, after all, who needs facts to get in the way of whatever they want to say? :whatever:

imagine that! look who shows up and demonstrates that he is either ignorant or is just a fan of making false statements. Actually, it's probably a bit of both.
color me shocked. after all, its not like you really have anything of substance to add :whatever:

Thin Ice Mr Matrix. You are treading on it.
You wanna call out the moderators - take it to fight club.
-
spoken in anger.
-
What kind of idjit disrespects the chain of command and goes after a Mod when said Mod made a rather innocuous comment?

If anyone doesn't like the Kyrgyzstan thing, it's me, since I'm stuck in Afghanistan because of it. And I stand by my earlier statement, you come and make comments when anyone badmouths the USSR, Russia, or Marx.

then you stand by a statement that is simply not true. Its really not hard to check my post history.

Yep. Everywhere you post you start fights and disrupt the board.

The russians in the past made quiet a few accidents happen...and yeah, that was my first thought too. BLAM!- the entire Polish government wiped out...almost. They were heading to a ceremony to Katyn, where the Russians wiped out almost the entire senior military cadre of Poland.
co-winkie-dink?
Oh...and John is a ****stick.

Why is that such a crazy idea? It was the first thing that came to my mind when I heard about it.
-

Who does stuff like that? Someone who doesn't like any criticism of The Evil Empire.
That's who.

Did I touch a nerve Comrade? Piss you off a little that you are so predictable?
Insult me all you want you bootlicking Soviet apologist but it just highlights how right I am about you.
As for contributions...perhaps if you showed up more than just to defend all things Putin you'd see just exactly
how much I do contribute.
Till you do that...STFU and go polish your gold platedP Communist Party membership card
-
So, anyway...I got a call from Mrs Dutch. Seems Boy No. 3 (the youngest and least likely to take an Anger Management Course) just got into a fight at school. Seems one of the normal troublemakers was trading insults with Boy No. 3 and when he figured out he was loosing, shoved Boy No. 3 who promptly layed him out.
Boy No. 3 has lost his playground time for a week. The other kid is suspended.
Boy No. 3 is up for his second degree in Tae Kwon Do.
I just wanted to add this because John is a ****stick.
-
I always told my kids i'd come to their defense at school if they got in a fight so long as they threw the second punch and not the first.
-
Let me clarify:
Second Degree Black Belt in TKD.
...and John is a ****stick.
