Wife has broken neck, back and nose. Daughter has facial injuries and neck injuries.
Reid goes to the hospital, then went back to Capital to work on HCB.
Good thing he's not my husband....cause when I could get up off that bed and move....he'd be in it with a broken pee-pee. Then I'd be breaking his neck.....
What a jerk. :censored:
-
What? He isn't that important. He can leave the backroom deal making to someone else. What an idiot.
Dollars to donuts the DUmmies will comment about his bravery in continuing to work.
-
His wife is rather seriously injured -- what a total POS to head back to work.

I think it's going to backfire on him.
DUmmies are all compassion and caring....this is a huge boo-boo on his part.
Fox just reported a few minutes ago, that he's heading back to the hospital. Someone must have told him to get his ass back to the hospital....cause he's looking even shittier than normal.
Oh yeah....and Fox is also reporting that Reid's asked for reconciliation. :censored:
-
Karma's a bitch.
-
Thoughts and prayers to his family. Sadly, Reid's priorities are grossly misplaced.
-
Prayers for his wife and daughter.......but.....sense it's happened. I hope it was an uninsured, illegal alien with false SS# that was driving the truck.
-
They don't deserve to suffer these miseries...Dirty Harry being one of those miseries.
Dollars to donuts the DUmmies will comment about his bravery in continuing to work.
And/or claim it was a neo-con hit job aimed at the senator to derail the legislation.
-
Prayers for Mrs. Reid...she has been married to him long enough that Im sure she is aware of where his prioritys would be at a time like this. Sad.
-
Who is going to be the first DUmmy to start a fund drive for flowers?
-
They live with Harry Reid... thats punishment enough
-
Prayers out for the Reid family AND Harry. That is some tuff shit ... I have had a broken neck and it ain't a cake walk. I hope she doesn't have to be put in a HALO.
I hope they get the best medical service we have in this country.

Mr. Reid. How much of a glory hugging F-stick can you be? Get thee to your family's side.
Prayers up for Mom and Daughter. That is going to be rough.
-
Prayer up for those injured.

You got that right! My uncle had to wear one of those things when he broke his neck working on a old farm truck. (The truck rolled backwards with him under it.)
I wore a C-collar for 6 weeks for neck injuries from a motorcycle racing accident back in 1986, and that was no picnic....damned neck cracks and pops when I move it, and it lets you know if bad weather is coming....
Prayers for the Reid family for their recovery....

Some of you are being just a tad hard on this man.
Allot of pressure on this 70 year old man at this time and to get the heart stopping news about his wife and daughter, the potential big changes in his personal life, I find no reason to criticize the actions of anyone under those conditions.
Once his wife was stabilized and no surgery needed so far there was nothing he could do for his wife, he also had to tend to his injured daughter.
We all know what it is like to have a family member or good friend come to grief, it takes a while for the shock to wear off. Priorities must be managed and set.
Anyone that serves their country in any form place their Country first, those that have served in the military know this as they must leave family's even where the health of their family is in question.
He has not done anything but what we expect our service men and woman do every day, he went back to work long enough to put someone in his place, then and only then was he able to focus on family.
God, Country, Family in that order.
-
Except that our servicemen and women are doing honorable work, whereas Harry's "job" was to go back and scheme how to make sleazy deals and circumvent our constitution and legislative process. Sorry, Vesta, but I'm not buying your argument. He should have been at the hospital. This was not a sprained ankle or a broken thumb. These are serious, serious injuries.
Prayers for the injured.
-
God, Country, Family in that order.
Um, no.
-
He's a Senator, not a soldier. Even a fireman or police officer...unless in the middle of a fire or arresting someone...would be able to go to their family.
With today's technology, and his status...I'm sure that he could have done a conference call from the hospital if necessary ... to put things in order while he stayed with his family.
As Vesta pointed out....he is 70. Well his wife is 69, a critical age for such serious injuries.
His place was with his family.
Prayers for the family.

Oh noes.
Doctor Obama says to give her a pill instead of spending all the money and resources fixing her neck.

No...that's what it will be for you or me.
Reid's a member of Congress....only the best doctors will be called in. You know....from that great insurance that they have....paid for by us taxpayers?

Sadly, that was my first thought upon hearing this news last night - that the DUmmies would somehow blame the BFEE and/or Rove for the "accident".

I told M the same thing last night when we were talking about this.
He told me I'd been on here too much.... :lmao:

Um, no.
Concur.
Family, God, Country, in THAT order. (God's big enough to understand.)

I was fortunate. I only had to wear the HALO for 2 months. Most people have to wear them 6 months minimum. Lord have mercy I was never so glad to get rid of something. That thing is like a medieval torture device.
And YUP I can generally tell when there will be a change in the weather. My wife says the TV weathermen should call me before they go on the air. LOL

When you've been reading that crazy site for as long as many of us have, their reactions to events become pretty predictable.

But I thought our healthcare system is broken?

This is going to bring home the health care situation for Reid.
His wife is getting incredibly good care (an assumption, but most probable) and even more important...very PROMPT care which is beneficial not only to a better recovery, but in her case...survival.
He's going to be seeing the care that his wife and others are receiving in ICU...
Wonder how many are in the ICU at that hospital....receiving the same quality of care that his wife is.....who don't have insurance.... :uhsure:

Doubtful. I'll bet he screams even louder.
-
Has the DUmp gone conspiracy theory on this yet? Saying this was an attempted hit to intimidate Reid? Asking to check out the other driver?

I'm in Afghanistan on deployment right now. If my wife were to be in an accident as bad as this one sounds, I would be on my way home within 12 hours of notification.

Please be careful....we don't tell you often enough.
And many many thanks to you and to your family.
