I told M the same thing last night when we were talking about this.

He told me I'd been on here too much.... :lmao:

When you've been reading that crazy site for as long as many of us have, their reactions to events become pretty predictable.

But I thought our healthcare system is broken?

This is going to bring home the health care situation for Reid.

His wife is getting incredibly good care (an assumption, but most probable) and even more important...very PROMPT care which is beneficial not only to a better recovery, but in her case...survival.

He's going to be seeing the care that his wife and others are receiving in ICU...

Wonder how many are in the ICU at that hospital....receiving the same quality of care that his wife is.....who don't have insurance.... :uhsure:

Prayers to the injured....
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Doubtful. I'll bet he screams even louder.

Has the DUmp gone conspiracy theory on this yet?  Saying this was an attempted hit to intimidate Reid?  Asking to check out the other driver?

He's a Senator, not a soldier. Even a fireman or police officer...unless in the middle of a fire or arresting someone...would be able to go to their family.

With today's technology, and his status...I'm sure that he could have done a conference call from the hospital if necessary ... to put things in order while he stayed with his family.

As Vesta pointed out....he is 70. Well his wife is 69, a critical age for such serious injuries.

His place was with his family.

Prayers for the family.

I'm in Afghanistan on deployment right now.  If my wife were to be in an accident as bad as this one sounds, I would be on my way home within 12 hours of notification.

Please be careful....we don't tell you often enough.

And many many thanks to you and to your family.
