Congratulations on a strong campaign, and enjoy your evening of celebration. Lord knows we enjoyed ours last year, and in 06.
I shall now return to DU and rejoin the misery. This is a sad day for us, and good one for you.

Are you allowed to cross enemy lines, Token? The way I see it, the great socialism experiment did not work out so well for your side and I am happy that the voters of Massachusetts saw where we were headed.
I for one am glad it was taken care of before it got too far. And, this is just the beginning.

Yeah Token, stick around and enjoy the party. Our drunken interns are STD and curling iron free. Plus, we've got tha wicked pissah jam tunes.

Hey stick around, we do not bite.
Oh and, we did not "win this one", the voters of MA won it for the very
reason that it is THE MA PEOPLES seat, not Vast Traitor Teddy's seat.
The reality is: The Democrats NATIONWIDE got their asses kicked
in the bluest of blue states.

Ah, take heart, grasshopper. When you finally start to learn some sense (it can take a lot of us a long, long time - myself included; I lived right through all 8 years of Reagan and didn't start to properly appreciate him until about 1998 - ten years too late), you'll realize that this was a victory, not only for "us" - as in the conservatives and denizens of CC - but also for you and for your "us" - the denizens of DU - and for the country as a whole.

Coakley was pure evil.
Scott Brown is not perfect, its Mass after all, but he is a million times better than Satans minion.

Thanks, Token.
Stop by any time; we're not mean people.

To any DU lurker: I would look at this way. This is the best thing to happen to you. This health care bill is a pile of shit. Do you really want that mandate that you cannot possibly afford each month? Do you really want to be taxed now, and have any dubious benefit kick in 4 years from now? Does that seem quite fair? Speaking of fair, what about those of you not citizens of Louisiana or Nebraska, and not a union member? Don't you feel like you're getting short shrift, and that not everyone is equal?

If Token really wants ObamaCare he could move to Massotaxes, they already have it, but he might want to bring his own doctors.
-
Yeah, well...
...we also got Virginia and New Jersey.
And we couldn't have done it without Obama, Pelosi and Reid.
Y'all keep doin' what you do.

It is nice to see the NE section of the country starting to take on a purplish hue. :-)

I'm with Dutch. It's nice to see a Progressive Liberal admit defeat with a good attitude and without some vitriolic temper tantrum.

Although, the slobbering temper tantrums are often more fun...

Did you know that my vehicle was vandalized by a gloating Obamacan after he won the election?
Now when I see a car with an Obama '08 sticker, I won't shake my head like I normally do...I will just laugh hysterically....no need to be a thug about it.

You really think this "Token" DUmmie feels that way, Tank? I'll believe it when it gives up it's DUmmie handle.

Maybe so, maybe not. But he is exhibiting good sportsmanship, and that I appreciate.

I agree.....we see and observe so little of that from the other side of the aisle that it is refreshing for it to happen here......thank you Token......

He spoke with good manners, I am willing to take it at face value. It's just my nature to be civil and respectful to people until they demonstrate that they don't want to go that way, I leave the choice to them. Also an awful lot of folks here were Dems or even Libs at one time in their lives but came around, no need to be rude to people who may be retrievable.
-
One of my closest friends is a Democrat...I mean really left (ironically enough in her own life her values are pretty conservative) but she absolutely hates the health care bill. Thinks it gives too much to big Pharma and insurance. I've heard plenty at DU say they don't like the bill(s) either so why go forward with them? Anything that isn't going start for 4 or so years (well, except the taxes and gutting Medicare) can surely be given more time to listen to the people and get it right.

Ditto.
Still an unspoken lesson must be learned: The Tea Party has teeth. Ignore the people at your own peril.
Fact: The Tea Party was never astroturf...they were real people.
Mass doesn't have the republicans to bring about this victory, independents and democrats had to cross the line and vote for Scott. If DU learns nothing else, they should learn that printing money Mugabe-style and govt takeovers make the people mad. Americans don't want a massive, all-powerful govt running our lives. Ever since the revolutionary war people have not trusted such all-powerful govts.
America is still a pioneer people, self reliant and willing to take back the govt that belongs to the people-not a party. Ignore the people at your own peril. The fact that Mass went GOP is not just a fluke, its an earth shaking reaction to the liberal agenda of the last year. If liberals do not learn from the tea party, they will loose everything.
I would be interested in a DU take on this but I'm not willing to burn my mole to find out.
-
I'm not like DAT and Thor.
I think it's far preferable for every "progressive liberal" in America to eat shit and die. They are enemies of the American way of life.

Why not stay? You are welcome to speak your side, unlike DU, and we even talk back.

Thanks Token. We all "win some, lose some".

Only diff is, when the lefties win, it costs US frikkin' money!!! I have no sympathy! Hell, we probly saved them some! Maybe they should be extending an olive branch.
I'll lay odds he/she/it gloated just as much as the others when the Bummer was elected. I've yet to see a DUmmie that didn't feel it was justified to rub it in the nose of FReepers after 2008.
Now look what shape the country's in! Even these DIpSHits are feeling remorse. Some of them, anyway.

Don't worry, I got that one back for ya a few months back - sometimes, ya know, you're just carrying that huge can of paint thinner back from the hardware store and, whoopsie, you slip, you trip, you drop it, and wouldn't you know it, some wag back at the store had left the top unscrewed. Darnit, and all over that pretty black hood, too. ;)

No doubt, but I don't think I would leave a diary to a crime, even if I didn't commit it!
It's called self preservation!
