So Far, So Good, DU!

I've not been a member here long, but I can already see welcome differences from other "liberal" sites.

1) No toeing the party line: Dissent is actually permitted!

2) No "piling on," i.e., somebody expresses a divergent opinion, whereupon s/he gets pummeled by the Powers That Be!

3) Congenial atmosphere. Hell, even the arguments here are respectful! (That being said, quick detection/elimination of wingnuts.)

4) I hope you will allow me to spend much more time in your community. I may (okay, will) sometimes have opinions with which many of you will strongly disagree, but, even in such cases, I know I'll be treated fairly!

I hope my newb ass hasn't blabbed too long on this, but I think that maybe I've found the right--er, um--appropriate place for my partially-sane rantings

Also, note that he properly refers to "toeing the line". Legitimate dimwit DUmmies invariably type "towing the line". I suspect a pizza delivery is imminent.
