Post by: Thor on October 22, 2009, 10:54:09 AM: I'm kind of shocked that Rifqa Bary's lawyer didn't attempt to have her emancipated. She's 17, after all. I was on my own at 17. This legal maneuver would have allowed her to keep away from her parents and may have eliminated a potential threat.
