Judging by all of the "recs" here, seems I'm not the only Academy voter who "likes, really likes" your hubby.
He uses a few precise, well-chosen words to drive the point home - while people like me waste hundreds of words saying the same thing - only less effectively.
There is something to be said for the man who manages to say it all, with wit and style.
And I've just said it - in, as is my wont, way more words than were necessary.

It reinforces the message that youth and beauty are all that's worth valuing in a woman. Intellect means nothing.
It also encourages a general attitude that it's really OK for a woman to sleep her way to a better career because she's just "using what she's got," after all.
An edit in case anyone misunderstands: I'm not saying Sarah Palin slept her way to the VP spot. I'm just saying that it's easier to get places by sleeping with people if you're young and good-looking. It's generally not an option for those who are older or less attractive, even if they wanted to do things that way. So what the emphasis on female youth and physical appearance does is essentially put those attributes on an even level with others in terms of qualifications for career advancement. It also make it less likely that anyone will be concerned about a woman landing a job through the connections or influence of her husband, her boyfriend, or the just plain good ol' casting couch.
In short, it establishes youth and beauty as must-haves in order for any woman to achieve her dreams, and tells women who can't--or are not about to--flash some leg or cleavage, or sleep with the boss, or use their personal relationship with a man to get an "in" at a job, that they are doomed to lose the game.

A mother who doesn't take the time to give her teenage daughter the loving and responsible attention the girl needs so that she won't go looking for love, and ending up having unprotected sex with her boyfriend, getting pregnant, and having a child out of wedlock ALL BEFORE HER HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION.
Yeah, maybe someday one of your children will actually finish high school without sitting it out somewhere else, taking correspondence courses, and go to college, like so many millions of kids do, instead of having to join the Army to avoid going to the slammer or maybe opting for a community college because the kid has to stay home to take care of her baby.

I dare this crazy leftist bitch to apply her logic to the scores of mothers on public assistance in one fashion or another. You know, the masses she defends as both relevant and worthy of care and concern because they are able to do everything she just said about Sarah Palin's daughter. You see, pointing out the obvious to scores of mooching welfare mothers is either racist, sexist, or insensitive(sometimes all three), but doing so(even if it isn't true) of one's political foe is apparently divine. See I guess her argument would be that Sarah Palin should know better, being she is better educated then the scores of idiots out there raising childrne on the taxpayer dime and earn the love of liberals everywhere. But then this creates a dilemma in liberal thinking yet again since we are to believe, by their claims, that Sarah Palin is an idiot. So if she is an idiot, then she should be absolved of any parenting issues she has ala the same way they absolve every unwed mother who mooches on the taxpayer out there of any responsibility, right? Or they have to give up on the idiot line if they wish to pin her with some responsibility and admit she isn't exactly the idiot they make her out to be...same kind of pretzel logic they had to use when they called Bush an idiot I might add.
When anyone stops to think about how silly their finger pointing is, it is quick to see that their campaign against Sarah Palin has nothing to do with her parenting abilities or whether she's pretty or not(which liberal women in particular seem to loathe seeing as the ugly ones seem to be stuck back in high school railing against all the 'mean girls' which of course is any woman who is not only smarter then them ,but also looks better then them--wow, for all their feminism they aren't beyond basic female cattiness--imagine!), or whether she's even qualified for any role in the political world. Their campaign against Sarah Palin is based solely on the fact that she is an outspoken, female conservative who won't take any shit when a family member of hers is attacked. I know they don't get why Sarah Palin defends her daughter considering DUmmies interaction with family members consists of shitting all over them on a public message board and disowning them for not falling in lock step with their own beliefs, but some people actually have a loyalty for family and a duty to protect them(particularly their MINOR children).

I swear that anytime there is a pretty woman that they disagree with, they start accusing her of using her looks to get where she is, or they call her nasty names. Hey DUmmies, it is possible to be both attractive and intelligent. It is even possible to be attractive and successful, without using your looks to "sleep your way" to success.
There is hypocrisy is so blatant that their brains must be twisted up like pretzels to realize it. They push for abortion on demand, but the only parent that they hold responsible for a teenage daughter's pregnancy is Sarah Palin. To them, 12 year olds should be able to have abortions without parental consent, but when 17 year old Bristol gets pregnant, it is all her mother's fault. :mental:

They are all for sex for minors but only conservative kids are held to a higher standard. I bet you 75% of these losers had sex in high school (the other 25% probably haven't had sex yet and are well into adulthood as I bet they have had a hard time finding anyone willing). If she would have had an abortion she would be held up as some sort of martyr and celebrated there or called a hypocrite. See, in their world they can never lose, every scenario is a win win for them.
