i think Obama should invite Rush to the WH for a conversation...
just like Lyndon Johnson did with then-governor George Wallace. At this conversation, he should imply and Rush should infer, what is going to come out about him if he does not hop on board. It won't just be the tabloids talking about drugs and pedophilia AND in case anyone here's upset about this...how do you think the two Bushes kept their folks in line? When one or another of the RWers got out of line, all of a sudden there were stories about House/Senate pages, about diapers, and the like.
...and Obama's good at this...see what he did to that slimy prick Eric Cantor the other day? Nailed his ass. With a smile.

Why should Obama or any democrats care if Rush Limbaugh "hops on board" or not? I guess that whole freedom of speech and voicing dissent applies only to democrats when a republican is president.

I don't think rush limbaugh has much longer to go on our airways, I feel it in my bones. President Obama and his friends know what is wrong with this country and they know pusbag is part of it. Where the president had the goods on the right wing general that was attempting a cope and he invited him in and had the evidence in a dower.

he put his trust in the people and survived.

He has elevated Rush to defacto head of repuke party. He keeps saying things bordering on treason, or at least obnoxious. The repukes are afraid of Rush. It is a gift that keeps on giving. Dont you any of you touch what Obama has wrought.
Now I have to say it, if "bordering on treason, or at least obnoxious" does not describe the mindset of DU toward Obama criticism, I don't know what does.
One last thought vis-Ã -vi the OP. George Wallace and Lyndon Johnson were on the same team. Though they did both seek the party nomination in 1964 the WH invite was a kiss and make up/party unity deal.

That was "Seven Days in May" asshat and if you really want to ge tint othe details of the movie The President was doing just what Barrack is doing,Selling the safety of the country out to it's enemies and the general while wrong in his methods was right in defending the country from a potential takeover by the Russians

Funny how the primitives have become the very thing they claimed they hated about conservatives. Of course, now we see them openly admitting the truth, that is, they were only projecting their own desires towards conservatives as though it was what conservatives wanted to do to them.
We knew this all along about them, but it's nice to see them admit it and for us to document it.
