Day Four Since I Got Hit With Food Poisoning And
Oh jeez, I can't take any more saltines, ginger ale, or Gatorade.
Yesterday I kept cheese-toast down, so screw it.
When I get home I'm making a seafood stew.
gots onions & garlics, gots shallots, gots fennel, gots canned tomatoes, gots fish sauce and gots shrimps, clams and squids.
If the primitive were serious about getting rid of the problem, brown rice and hot gravy (chicken, turkey, or beef) takes care of it.
But one doubts, really, the primitive wants to take care of it.
Remember, it's in the nature of primitives to want to suffer, not to be cured.

1. Man...food poisoning straight to seafood?
You are a brave soul!
I'm sooo sorry you got nailed too. I went through food poisoning from a fast food chain once, many years ago. I still remember it vividly.
I hope you have a lovely dinner and that it stays put.

3. Yikes!
You are brave, after I've been sick I just want "mommy cooking". You know the stuff you got when you had to stay home from school? Warm, simple soups... toasted buttery bread... melt-y cheese... pasta... peas...
When Mr T was down with some dental surgery I made him the ultimate from my mother's repertoire - milky-bread. Warm milk with a piece of white bread floating in it - with salt and pepper and a dab of melting butter. He asked for it 2 days in a row...
oh, ya gotta be in pain to ask for milky-bread...

5. Make sure you also use hot sauce!
Man .... I'd be careful ...... I'd be more into a buttered english muffin ..... maybe a poached egg on top.

8. There's a really bad norovirus going around that blows both ways for about 48 hours.
Are you sure it was food poisoning?
If it was the norovirus, you should be good to go, although I'd probably lay off anything heavy. The first meal after a period of fasting should be a light one.
The warped primitive's right, but the primitives won't listen to her, as it's in the nature of primitives to want to suffer, not to be healed.

For lurking DUmmies suffering from this ailment, I personally recommend a diet of pureed habanero chili and raw onion. :-)

they have been giving it so long, its time to get soem back

How can anyone be that stupid?

They're not happy unless they're not happy.

This "mommy food" sounds really gross. Ick!

I don't know, I like saltine crackers smashed up and soaked in milk for a very occassional snack. This really doesn't sound that different. On the other hand, the primitive should stick to some chicken stock and noodles, that will usually calm a stomach in my experience.

Gee, I wonder how "it" got food poisoning! Fish is the easest thing in the world to spoil and not realize it!
