Obama: 'The nation that invented the automobile cannot walk away from it'
Sooooo...that would be Germany, right? Cause we didn't INVENT the damn car, you moron. Ford...yeah he invented that little thing called "The Assembly line". But I do believe that Benz would have a bit to say about this little comment.
oh well, he is the messiah....he can say what he wants and get away with it, right?
:whatever:

Good catch!
KC

Tess, please don't fret.
The Exalted One will merely have The Big Three and the CEO of Mercedes Benz (as a courtesy) all fly into D.C., parade over to the White House, and have cake and coffee after The Official Historical Record is changed by a stroke of his pen.
They won't mind. After all, they have their hand out begging money.
Remember - history is written by the victors. Or, re-written in some cases.
-
What amuses me is thinking about the media response if GWB made this historical mistake and not the Obamessiah.

Oh exactly. What was W's biggest flub? Or at least the one the media NEVER forgot? His pronunciation of nuclear. Yes this man can't even get his facts down in an address to friggin congress and the US citizens. :whatever:

So first, Ol' FDR apparently went on TV in the '30s to speak to the American people, and now we found out the US invented the car...
Just wow. :mental:

Good catch Tess!

Thanks. Funny thing..last night I looked at my husband and said...WTF? Whatever happened to Benz? He just rolled his eyes and turned the TV to the laker game. LMAO I had recorded it and watched it in snips later last night.

Seems I once read that some American did build a contraption called a "steam chariot" about the mid 1800's......I'm surprised he found one thing America got right.....I bet 'shelle didn't approve that.

Ford has been very steadfast in refusing to play the socialism game that the new fuhrer's handlers have put out there.
I wonder if the new Ford CEO will find the bumper of a Mustang in his bed....
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Not to worry, they're made out of that soft, flexible plastic stuff per government regulations. However, had the government know this was coming.......

Ahh yes -- Nuu-Clee-Ar vs Nuu-Que-Lar.. Yet nobody questioned Obama's reference to the Commonwealth of Massatusits.. Twice.

Actually, he would still be wrong - the French had a steam powered car in the mid 1700s. IIRC the inventors name was Cugnot.
edit: I found it --
o France: In 1769 Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot, a French military engineer, constructed a three-wheeled steam powered carriage.
o The vehicle, which could carry four persons, achieved a top speed of 2.25 mph (3.6 kph).
o The vehicle is considered to be the first to successfully employ a device for converting the reciprocating motion of a steam engine’s piston into rotary motion.
o It did not carry reserves of water or fuel and as its boiler could only provide steam for about 12 to 15 minutes the driver had to stop frequently to add more water and re-fire the furnace.
o Within a year Cugnot had been commissioned to build a larger model for the transportation of artillery and capable carrying a load of about 4.5 tons (4,572kg).

And he can't even start on time either.

That is one thing that is annoying the crap out of me. It doesn't matter how one may have felt about GWB, the man was always on time.

Yes, like most of us, who show up on time and show up to work. Obama is just emulating his constituents. :-)

Now now fellows/gals this is the Obamessiah! And Liberal Democrat! So, facts don't matter, as long as it looks as if he "cares". And results don't matter either, why he can (and is) wreck the economy, and as long as he, well,,,,had good intentios.....well......that's OKEYDOKE, right? :banghead: :mental: :thatsright: :hammer:

Don't forget his speech right after his beloved grandmother died where he claimed "she survived two world wars.". Grandma was born in 1922...just a touch too late to survive one of those wars. He is an opportunistic lair...nothing more and nothing less
-
Can you imagine if any Rep. had made such a remark? Juan Williams and Chris Matthews would be crowing about it until the day they died.

You know who else used to be late...ALL the time...except we found out why he was always late, it was because he was getting a blowjob. :whatever:
-
Being late shows disrespect to those you are going to be meeting.

You don't honestly expect Teh One to respect those who wait in line to fellate him, do you?
