Pawtucket mayor's office said Monday that a young girl was killed and four people were injured in a shooting at the Dennis M. Lynch Arena ice rink during a high school hockey game between two co-op teams.
The mayor's office said the shooter was dead and that police were not looking for anyone else.
The teams that were playing were Coventry-Johnston co-op and St. Raphael-Providence Country Day-North Providence-North Smithfield co-op.

Yeah, I don't think you can blame the NRA for this one. It was a looney tune man pretending to be a woman. That's not the NRA, and this is becoming a very growing problem! Until you stop celebrating these people and calling them 'brave', and start treating them like the mentally ill people they are, this is going to get worse.

At a late-night news conference, Pawtucket Police Chief Tina Goncalves said Dorgan also went by the name “Roberta,” and court documents show his gender identity played a role in multiple family disputes over recent years.
In early 2020, Dorgan went to the North Providence Police Department and reported he had recently undergone gender-reassignment surgery and that his father-in-law wanted him out of their North Providence home because of it.

Around the same time, Dorgan’s then-wife Rhonda Dorgan filed for divorce. Under grounds for divorce, Rhonda initially wrote, “gender reassignment surgery, narcissistic + personality disorder traits.” Those reasons were then crossed out and replaced with “irreconcilable differences which have caused the immediate breakdown of the marriage.”
The divorce was finalized in June 2021, court records show.

So that 1960s mass shooting in Texas didn't happen? Nor the gang killings in the 1920s? To the degree there's an increase, it's in reporting and in reporting-with-agenda. BUT IRL, gun ownership has been widespread in the US since July 4, 1776, and in the colonies before that. And while there was no NRA back then, the NRA has been around much longer than I have, probably well over a century.
What has changed in the US is people. Increasingly: people reject or ignore the idea that there is a Being Who created them and to Whom they are answerable; people reject that there are moral absolutes; people see killing as OK if one can sufficiently dehumanize their target (blob of tissue, Hitlerian, racist, cis-______, patriarchy ... ). Whatever the RI shooter's dehumanizer, the problem was him, not his rationalization nor a mixed hunk of steel, polymer, lead, and brass.

I ASSume this was supposed to be scarcasm, but IRL, the Trump Administration is backing efforts to keep male-posers out of girls'/women's sports. So I won't say that cannot be correct.

He was living with his inlaw(s)? Not exactly stable and provident.
Rhonda wrote the full truth when filing for divorce. I wonder whether some PC-bureaucrat made the "correction" or a bureaucrat "persuaded" her to make the correction.

Respectfully, I think you're reading it wrong: they're angling to use mental illness as the reason for the shooting so they can once again blame Reagan for any and all mental health problems in the US. They'd sooner die than call his freaky tranny stuff "mental illness," which it most certainly is.
And when someone has the temerity to comment on DU that there sure do seem to be a LOT of mass shootings by trannies lately, they will agree that it's a natural reaction to the "genocide" of trannies and the general failure of society to genuflect to them.
DU is a barrel of greased eels when it comes to anything that is as plain as day to normal people.

That's true, at least until someone points out the implications of saying a tranny has ANY mental issues whatsoever. The plural of anecdote is data, and we now have a lot of data indicating that trannies are mass murderers.
