So, I'm curious. When did we as a nation decide it was ok to deface the US Flag?

We had a new gun store open up recently and the owner is flying the regular flag, a second US flag with red, blue, and green strips, and a third Don't Tread of Me flag. I had missed the addition of a green and red strip to the Back the Blue "flag" Went looking online for more information. Every article I read (5) reported how patriotic these flags were, how they represented fireman (red), police (blue) and military, park rangers (green). And how it was fine to fly these flags especially if you flew the "old" flag with them.

Ok, I admit it, I'm really getting pissed and really upset at the amount of propaganda and lies we are surrounded by. How does any ordinary person even begin to know what's right and what's wrong, what's a lie and what isn't?

1. The "second US flag with red, blue, and green strips" is not a US flag, therefore no US flag was "defaced".

2. Burning US flags, trampling US flags, and crapping on US flags has been normal Prog behavior, and Progs have defended such real defacement in court, for at least 6 decades. Since when did Progs give a crap about respecting the US flag?

3. Flying other flags next to the US flag is entirely OK. Many/most states' buildings fly their state's flag next to the US flag. Often is a third or even fourth pole, for city flags or, e.g., the POW/MIA or some other cause's flag. Displayed properly, the US flag flies higher than any others. At the 10K I did yesterday, a Scout troop did a flag ceremony, with US, California, and the troop's flag (the "Star Spangled Banner" was also sung).

You can do whatever you want to an American flag, but it’s a hate crime to deface a gay pride flag.

Hmmm. Not sure. Let's consult expert Bill Ayers to be sure.

Uh, such "defacement" became acceptable since we became a free country.

Great points. Also, don't forget in the Obama administration, at least one Democrat headquarters hung an American flag which had Obama's ugly face where the stars should be. That's most definitely a defacement.

The primitives are authoritarians, so this is no different than anything they believe. IOW, if defacing the flag is being done for a reason or cause they believe in, that's OK. If it's not something they approve, then it's not OK. A quick read through their responses proves that to be true.

Willing to bet the OP is completely Okay with a lib burning an American flag. No desecration there.

Or an "art display" with some leftoid cocksucker SHITTING on an American flag... :therock:

I'm actually mostly okay with leftist scum burning an American flag because it's the proper method to dispose of it, and they only get to do it once (per flag, of course). I'd wish they might wrap it around their heads when they burned it, but...

It's all about intent.
