Legal question: Can you be charged with multiple counts when destroying official WH documents.
Trump more than likely destroyed hundreds, if not thousands of official records. Do they all have to be included in one count, one charge? Or could he be charged with multiple counts.
I have a gut feeling this is going to turn into a bigger news story. This is a big deal.

4. Now we have the documents he tore up, the smoking gun with his fingerprints on it.
If you have these documents then he didn't destroy them, did he?

3. should be -- if like the forms for top secret clearance
As explained to me by several people who worked for the Air Force -- each piece of information that violates a clearance rule is up to ten years and ten thousand dollars. I would surmise that records acts work like secrecy acts.

9. Wait till we learn what documents he tore up and then were taped back together.
Wait till we here the testimony of witnesses who witnessed Trump destroy, burn documents. What was in those documents?
It has been reported many Whitehouse staff are cooperating with the committee. What kind of evidence have they turned over to the committee?
Anon witness says they saw Trump, himself, tear up WH documents...

Top secret documents don't just exist with a paper trail and chain of custody to account for their whereabouts. No single person can destroy a top secret document and make it vanish without a trace.
TOP SECRET
material should be
maintained in a
separate registry,
staffed only by
persons authorised to
handle such material.
If work volumes do not
justify a separate TOP
SECRET registry then
an appropriate officer
must be authorised to
carry out TOP
SECRET registry
duties.
