When she was done with her acceptance speech today Rush Limbaughs comment was priceless.

I am totally stoked about this VP pick. I honestly didn't think McCain had it in him. Just when I thought he had thumbed his nose at conservatives forever, he presents us with an angel.
Up until this morning, I couldn't have cared less about this election. Now I will be voting with a smile on my face instead of a grimace.

Will our debauchery involve small people? :naughty:

McCain is doing things right. I'm happy with his ads, I'm happy with his comments, and I'm THRILLED with his VP pick.
Schadie, remember, this thread is worthless without pictures! :cheersmate:

Well, while my day was really fantastic in spite of any political stuff, it is icing on the cake that finally there is someone who, at this point in time, I can vote for on the GOP ticket w/o reservation.

Same here, Jen. I was telling 2 of my co-workers (got a bouncy story about that, actually, LOL) that I was going to hold my nose in voting for McCain, but I won't have to now. :-)
Now for the bouncy: After I'd checked my cellphone for the fantastic news, I told a couple of co-workers, who were as shocked as I was at that choice (we were all thinking Romney or Pawlenty). Then, one co-worker, Barbara, (who acts so much like my mother, it's kinda scary...but kinda nice, since my real mom is back in Atlanta) started ranting about Chris Matthews and how she thought he would react to the choice. I brought up Keith Olbermann, and smoke was just about coming out of her ears. :rotf: She hates those 2 so much. Then the other one, a feisty older German lady named Eva joined in on the libtard pundit bashing. Y'all would love her if you met her.

That's awesome that you have some conservative co-workers to talk politics with.
I'm surrounded by libs at work and none of them would say a word about her today. Usually they won't shut up about politics but I do believe McCain's pick has rendered them speechless.
Yes, it was a glorious day! :-)

I honestly felt all alone for awhile working here, since I knew that many other co-workers supported Obama, but finding out that these ladies supported McCain made my day. :cheersmate:
I'm opening a Blue Moon and enjoying it with an orange slice this evening to celebrate.

Blue Moon...yumm mmmmm! :cheersmate:

It's always a good day when Conservatism wins. I'm still tentative because I know how quickly people can throw their values overboard if they think doing so will give them a greater chance to win an election, as Joe Lieberman did in 2000, but today it is a victory to celebrate.
Plus she's pretty hot.
-
Peeps...this is schadenfreude. I haven't been this giddy since King George was Selected.
-
This reminds me of the OLD Mission Impossible where the good guys pull off the mask in front of the bad guy just as he's being led off to the firing squad. McCain just shot a hole into Obama bin Bidens campain.
-
I am uncharacteristically celebrating with an alcoholic beverage.
A genuine mint julep made with Jack Daniels, and homegrown mint.
You don't seem like the mint julep type BC. :p

I have been over at DU the last hour tweaking their noses a bit using my longest lived account ever there. They are indeed freaking out about it. A couple of DUers are actually being positive about Palin and are being burned at the stake for it. I cant stand McCain but I do like Palin, a lot.
(doesnt hurt that shes a hottie)
