I got the regular payment. I usually get both on Tuesday.

Hummm...

That is the (moon)bat signal to shockey80 that it is time to get off your butt and get a job.

5. You may not get it

Unless the Senate acts to extend.

“The (Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation) $600 can be paid for weeks ending no later than the week ending prior to Friday, July 31, 2020. For all states except (New York), that is Saturday, July 25th. New York's end date is Sunday, July 26th.”

Why the mix-up? It all comes down to the details, as USA Today explains. The Cares Act says these supplemental benefits will end “on or before July 31.” However, most states pay unemployment benefits on a weekly or bi-weekly basis ending on a Saturday or Sunday. Therefore, unemployment benefits will end earlier than expected on the last Saturday or Sunday of July.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised it had a job. Probably just a place holder until the SSDI scam kicks in maybe.

This one has actually railed against having to go back to work.  Said he was not going to leave his house and kill himself and his wife unless and until there is a vaccine in place that has been tested.

His rants are pretty hilarious.

Giving people more than they made while working was a big mistake.  The most should have been 100% of base pay if anything.

Now it's time to cut unemployment down to normal levels and give the people that had to keep working a little break. **** the undocumented immigrants illegal invaders

I don't know what state that individual lives in, but it can't be Michigan.

I have been temporarily* laid off from my job, along with about 25% of my co-workers, and those kept on reduced to 36 hours (usually 40-50) per week, while the company recovers from loss of raw materials coming in and sales going out.  All of us, laid off and with reduced hours, are getting the $600/week supplemental.

I don't know how those on reduction are getting theirs; I believe it's coming through the Unemployment Insurance Agency of the state.

As for me, I'm getting both unemployment (about 75% of my net pay when working) plus the $600 supplemental, rolled together and direct deposited bi-weekly.

(By the way, tax withholding is in effect.  Still receiving roughly 150% of working net.)

Even so, I'm looking forward to getting back to work.  This is unsustainable.

The shockey80 primitive reminds me of the story of the bum who hung out near the exit of the subway and a man who saw him there every day started giving him $20 anytime he saw him. This happened for several years. One day, the man walked by and didn’t give the bum any money and he yells out “Hey! Where’s my $20!?!”
