Dear Trump Voters, here is your Friday Fun Message:
There are NO COAL JOBS coming back. That stupid **** you voted for can't do shit about that. Any coal jobs that come back will be done by - wait for it - ROBOTS.
There are NO NEW STEEL JOBS coming back. Steel is automated. Robots are now doing the jobs he promised you.
But here's a bright spot. All those AgriJobs that were being done by the hard working brown skinned folk from South and Central America are going to be available. So will all the other low pay, unpopular jobs they were willing to take. I hear busses from MichiganOhioMinnesotaWestVirginia to FloridaTexasCaliforniaArizona farm areas are cheap enough. Are you up to it, bumpkins?
Oh, and for your votes, here's to you from the MoronInTheMAGAHat (which was made in China, by the way):

Can't say I attach a lot of credibility to DU-folks' prophetic acumen. So here's the deal:
1. There won't be as many coal and steel jobs coming back as there were in the 70s or 90s. Duhhhh-uhh! But the jobs that went away under BHO? Yeah, MANY of those will be coming back. And every job that comes back is one that BHO killed, wrote off, and Hillary promised would not come back. Each job that comes back is a reversal and repudiation of Obana-ism and Progressive-ism. Each job is a flip-off of you, STC ... do take it personally, STC.
2. I think even some Trump-Hating Ds would recognize the ugliness of STC's gloating and rejoicing at his prediction that the thousands whose jobs were killed by Obama will remain unemployed or under-employed.

I bet if we built more coal fired power plants the coal jobs would return.

Even if they were clean coal, they'd generate coal jobs.

The Obama Regime passed regulations so strict that old plants couldn't be updated to meet new EPA regs.
Those need rolled back and some of the older plants could be brought up to standards at less cost than new plants.
-
Stinky, you ridiculous internet laughing stock, if I looked at you hard you would crap your pants.
In addition, since an infamous DUchebag made the prediction, I will bet the farm that coal jobs do indeed come back.

Exactly. I read somewhere that if you update an old coal plant it could generate 1.5 times the power it did when built. Unfortunately due to federal regs the company would have to damn near redo the whole thing.
The bullshit argument about natural gas being cheaper does not take into account the above. Several coal plants in WV were closed for just that reason. We used to have the cheapest electricity in the nation here... now? Not so much.
Then there is this:

That puts paid to the libbies and the dummies lies.

YES!
I may have related this experience before but is appropriate again.
California (in the 90s probably decades before my time too) was the largest cotton producer of any state. IIRC number 2-3 in the world. SOOOooo it would make sense in the common sense time of human history to have textile plants that provided lots of good paying jobs in California. AND you would be right!
But in the late 80s and into the 90s the kalifornia epa decided that those plants were terrible. So they made some regulations, not laws passed by the legislature because there were still sane people here, to kill these plants. Why do i say KILL and why would i know? Because I was automating for quality control some of these plants.
So anyhoo, the dick at the state said all of these plants and there were tens of them, they had to upgrade their air and water scrubber systems. The industry said OK but we need to phase this in as we update or build new plants. Well the people that had never produced anything other than flatulence and shit said NO. They gave them 3 years to make a quantum leap in their production systems.
The people that knew what they were doing said it can't be done. Well the people that had never produced anything other than flatulence and shit said tough shit.
So the people that knew what they were doing did NOTHING to those plants as they took their capital and built plants in countries that wanted their prosperity and jobs. At the end of three years the people that knew what they were doing closed the doors and fired all of the people they employed in kalifornia..and the other business that supported those textile manufacturers.
Well the people that had never produced anything other than flatulence and shit said tough shit called the people that knew what they were doing many names and lamented about the treasure and jobs that were lost....but never lost there jobs.
The end of another industry in socialist utopia of kalifornia. But come have a vacation here, it's beautiful!! And we have lots of maid and waiter jobs so..there is that.
-
I could be wrong, jukin, but the court-ordered drought in the San Joaquin Valley - the court-ordered drought preceded the real one by several years - probably killed off the cotton production in the San Joaquin Valley. I remember driving - back in the late 70s and in the 80s - driving along I-5 for miles and miles of cotton fields.
-
Hey, Stinky, how's the wife doing? Seen her lately?

Probably right. The central part of the state that grows food and cotton is RED so must be punished. Look to california for what the donks have in store for the entire country. It is the hunger games with all the riches going to the thin strips of the coasts.

I live in one of those "thin strips" areas, Silicon Valley. I'm not convinced many here know where their food comes from. Not to the extent that they connect Enviro laws and such to the pice/availability of their food.
One irony about Progs railing against "off-shoring" (their "solutions" are different from Trump's) is that Silicon Valley companies off-shored manufacture decades ago, starting in the 1970s, that I know of. One company I worked for had moved its manufacturing from Sunnyvale to Manteca in 1979, and in 1981 started the first stages of moving some manufacturing to Asia. Off-shoring was a decades long process, companies doing it in response to competition and the marketplaces for their products and their labor. The company I just left was relatively cost insensitive, but found they had difficulty attracting young talent to Silicon Valley's high housing costs. So they began the process of transferring everything - sales/marketing, admin, engineering, manufacturing - to Orange County. Silicon Valley Libs/Progs' talk and walk don't align - they make Prog noises and give $$ and other aid to Prog pols, but their companies buy materials such as power supplies, hard drives, memory, mother boards, chassis, and fans made in Asia.
I "get" the economic choices those companies made - their off-shoring was done to stay in business, not to @#$%^ over American workers. But their hypocrisy in supporting Prog pols who condemn the way those companies do business (and who would @#$%^ them over at the first hint of scandal or getting more $$ for doing so) would be laughable, but for the normal people who are @#$%^ed over by those pols.

A little bird is telling me that next year's legislative session in California will have a new bill that will tax robots in California. More to follow in the ensuing months...

That's a tall order, so I don't think so.
However, I encourage the sparkling old dude to keep on trying. Persistence overcomes.

That should get pretty humorous when they try to figure out what 'One robot' is on an integrated order management and payment system.

Hmmmm, if one takes "central" literally, that would be somewhere around Santa Cruz (or Aptos, home of NYC_SKP or whatever he called himself). But terms like "northern", "central", and "southern" can be loosey-goosey in reference to CA. Santa Barbara or Monterey could be termed the central coast. Reagan had his ranch near Santa Barbara.
I'm confident of Progs' ability to make Fitzmas expectations look sane.

SB home of GOO. And our county line was going to be the split of S and N Kalifornia.
