I'm sorry, but I do not feel good about this debate.

I've lived too long to expect the MSM to treat tonight's debate like anything but a victory to Trump. He will lie, she will call him out and the press will spend the following 48 hours persecuting her facial expressions and the sound of her voice. And if, God forbid, she coughs, we will see it over and over for two weeks. It's 2000 all over again.

Poor little DUmmie.  :whatever:

The MSM will do as always and instantly declare the demonrat the winner while the public will think just the opposite.

It's almost comical the the differences in how they see things, and we see things... regarding the media.

Uh huh.  I recall that after all was said and done, it was generally agreed that in 2008 John McCain, and in 2012 Mitt Romney, had won their respective debates with the retard currently in the White House, but mysteriously, both the media and the primitives insisted 0bozo had won.

I'm feeling very good about it. Hillarity with her step stool and oversized podium will look small and frail. Off topic, what mao suit will she wear and will it cost more than five fugures?

Also, Trump is comfortable with his positions and will talk off the cuff. hillary will be over cached because everything she says will be a lie....except for increasing taxes.

Hillary is already rattled with the whole Gennifer Flowers, Juanita Brodrick, Paula Jones,..... bimbo tweets that have been great battle space prep.

If hillry manages to not fall off her step stool and not do the "fish out of water" on the stage, msm will call it the greatest performance in a debate in the history of the universe. If she does, msm will claim she clearly beat Trump and is in perfect health.

I hope she gets into a coughing fit, loses oxygen, and face plants right on stage. If I check Drudge and see something like that happened, I might switch on to watch. Otherwise. I'll find something on Netflix tonight.

Cough, cough, cough, COUGH, COUGH, fart/squirt, cough, fall off step stool, squirt, do the fish out of water, squirt, squirt.

Well RandySF, her facial expressions and voice are real problems for her, and she can't escape them.  Look at the 50 points video, and if you were honest and brave, you'd look at the thousands of comments generated by it.  Shrill, angry, course, accusatory, and non-introspective.  She looks straight into the camera and wants to bite the head off of every viewer.

The moderator is under extreme pressure to make sure Trump comes off as an idiot. More than your typical debate moderator under any other circumstances.

I think it all rests on what Trump does.  A simple "why don't you ask hillary these tough questions" from Trump might go a long way. The deck is stacked against him.  The moderator is going to try to bait Trump. Whether he bites or not is the question.

I ain't holding my breath.

I think if the moderator is demonstrably unfair to Trump it will  help more than hurt him.  It will show the rigged system and validate what he (and St. Bernard) have been saying all along.  It will be tough for Hillary to over come this.  Innocent or not she will be presumed guilty of running a rigged game.  It will embolden the base and move more independent and undecided voters

I didn't watch.  But from what I am reading today Lester Holt interrupted Trump 8x but never interrupted Clinton and she seemed to know what the questions coming were.

Indeed - Holt even let her get away with calling Trump racist.

Even if she didn't the ones aimed at her were hanging curve balls.
The opening one to her was.

We have had a great economy for 8 years but there is some income inequality, how do you fix it?

Gosh, since that has been their campaign slogan forever ya think she wouldn't have a list of freebies to dole out?

Funny to see the discrepancy between the DUmp and all the snap polls, some of which got well over a million votes.  Polar opposite.

They are saying the alt right members got an email telling them to flood the online polls with Trump votes.  :rotf:

In 1980 even before Jimmuh was finished stammering through telling everyone that his teen daughter Amy said that the most important issue facing voters being crushed by stagflation was nuclear arms, the media were all in saying how he won the debate against Reagan.

It is as predictable as the sun rising in the east.

She's been losing the trend, it ain't her friend.  She needed to shut him down last night to actually 'Win,' and she failed to do that.  I'm not sure who moderates the remaining two, but I believe Fox has one of them, I don't know who has the other.  Holt was certainly the one of the most partisan moderators he could have had, better to get him out of the way first instead of last.

The next moderators are Martha Raddatz, Anderson Cooper and Chris Wallace

Oh boy, Andy Cooper - moonbat.  Raddatz - I don't know her but she's with ABC, probably a flaming lib.  Wallace should be good.

I haven't watch a Presidential debate since RWR or GHWB were POTUS. Between wishing "my guy" had responded "better", disliking "the other guy's" "BS", and wanting to take a cattle prod to most "Moderators", it's not good for my patience or BP. So take what follows with the block of salt whose size you think appropriate.

From what I understand, The SHREW didn't collapse. roll her eyes independently of each other, or leave a puddle on the platform. OTOH, Trump didn't respond like a raving maniac or collapse in despair - as DU-folk thought, or at least wished he would - in response to The SHREW's baiting or the "Moderator's" prodding, interrupting, and "fact-checking". It sounds as though both did well enough for their respective partisans to claim victory.

Looking forward, I think Trump will learn more from this debate than will/can The SHREW. She's more experienced, and has developed habitual tactics and responses. She'll adjust less. Trump has shown he can and does learn, and I think he'll adjust more, very possibly for the better.

In what way do debates matter? Frankly, not much here or on DU - places where members have largely made up their minds. Where it does matter is in the candidates defining themselves for undecideds and those barely on one or the other side of the fence. To the degree many of such have been influenced toward Trump by recent events and revelations, I don't think The SHREW did well enough to reverse the Trump-ward inclination.

IIRC, Cooper got quite a whupping by The SHREW's partisans, both in and outside of the MSM. I'd expect him to be clearly but not outlandishly partisan.

As for Raddatz, from http://newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/rich-noyes/2016/09/26/mrcs-notable-quotables-media-should-give-hillary-total-free-pass (http://newsbusters.org/blogs/nb/rich-noyes/2016/09/26/mrcs-notable-quotables-media-should-give-hillary-total-free-pass):

Quote
“You believe that Hillary Clinton started the birther movement?...What is the proof because we can’t find any. And fact-checkers have checked into that....The reports of people in my industry say there is no proof they can find that Hillary Clinton had anything to do with it.”
— ABC’s Martha Raddatz interviewing GOP vice presidential nominee Mike Pence on This Week, September 18.

She's in The SHREW's tank.

Thing is, Cooper and Raddatz being so clearly partisan could be an opportunity for Trump to needle them into being more blatant than they might be if they were calm. But all he really needs to do is call them out if they make their bias clear.

I have a similar approach so perhaps my judgment is suspect too, but it's not worth my time to waste it on the charade.  There are so few and so late I doubt they have much effect on things this time unless one candidate completely melts down.

The thing is this time, Hitlery needs to nuke him out of existence to reverse the trend, which has brought him up to even or better with her since August, making up a huge amount of ground.

She'll be so propped up with drugs and coaching that it brings Pink from 'The Wall' to mind, the haunting strains of 'Comfortably Numb' hanging in the air...

Just IMHO, anything in these debates that comes out near a draw will not hurt Trump (Though it may drive a lot of folks crazy), if anything it'll just convince some people not to vote at all or go for the Libertarians, Greens, or other splinter parties...and I expect most of that disenchantment to work out more in Trump's favor than Hitlery's.

Exactly and not just cheer leading but from decades of watching these things and the public reactions to them.

As soon as Holt served up the first question as a Obozo PR release the public knew what was happening.

I think if they do go the full in the tank for Hillary mode, Trump should stop and ask them to get themselves a podium like any other debate participant, so as to prevent the audience from being confused.

Of course. There were two goals..

1 ) Serve up softballs to Clinton, to make her look awesome.
2 ) Piss off Trump so he will react poorly, making the 'Trumplosion' the only thing on the news.

The first was partially successful. The second pretty much failed.
