Shit. It has started. The other day, a patient brought a gun in to the clinic.
Waved it in the face of a colleague, and then demanded narcotic medication.
He was told to leave the weapon in his car, and he pulled the usual "I got my rights" horseshit.
Nobody got hurt this time...
******* ****ing gun owners...

Cool story bro. Sounds like a DUmmie demanding meds.

******* ****ing gun owners...
Says the ******* ****ing lying antigun twat.
-
Sounds like a methadone clinic.
-
What a ridiculous :bouncy: ! What the dude did was blatantly illegal, and no one thought to call the police? Given the dude's supposed behavior, "Aristus"'s assumption that the guy legally owned the gun seems quite dubious.
-
Absolute crap. Worked for two different large hospital groups, covering almost 10 years that are located in very disparate economic areas. Never once did this occur.
-
And I'm not saying that this couldn't or doesn't happen. Just sounds like a DUmmy going for street cred to fit the liberal talking points.

Never heard of it. Ever.

Were you not concerned for the safety of your patients, let alone your own safety?

76. Well, it's kinda like evolution. You don't have to believe it for it to be true.
I'm not a big fan of sensationalism. I related the incident exactly the way the clinic manager did to me.
Busted.

In other words, the DUmmy wasn't there & just making shit up about the details.
Any sleuths who might know where he/she/it hails from?

ZERO BONGS!
Never happened but if it did it would be a black male aged 12-55 with an illegal gun.
NEXT!

25. Well, every two years, I have to provide proof of continuing education.
50 hours a year; 100 hours to renew (as opposed to recertify) my medical license.
Recertification is essentially a board exam. You know the term "Board certified"? That's it.
When I graduated from PA School, one was required to re-certify every six years. A few years ago, they changed it to every ten years. I'm six years past graduation. If I pass this time around, I won't have to sit for the exam for another ten years.
And i found this....

64. We always said we'd just toss them the keys to the narc cabinet
and go into a patient room to call the cops. None of us wanted to get hurt just because some gun toting addict wanted some dope.
If I recall, this primitive was fired and lost her RN license for stealing narcotics from the "narc cabinet". The problem wasn't imaginary "gun toting addicts", it was her.

Neither do I. Nobody brandishes a weapon around like that demanding drugs without it hitting the news. When the DUmmies started asking if the cops were called, she clammed up. We've seen this again and again with the more outrageous bouncies. They're so ****ing transparent.

97. Okay: Update: My colleague and the clinic manager managed to de-escalate the situation.
I just spoke with her, and she added some details to the situation. She checked the state narcotic database, and yep, he was doctor-shopping. She told him to put the gun away, and that she was not going to give him an opioid Rx. Pretty brave, but he backed down. Neither she nor the manager called the cops. Probably because cops are shitty at de-escalating potentially violent situations, as we all know.
Still, the no-gun signs will be here soon. Put them on every available wall and door, I say...
::)

That should do it! And by "it" I mean an uptick in addicts coming in with a gun.
Leftist are completely out of touch with anything remotely resembling reality.

I run the connectivity and infrastructure group for a company that connects 3 major hospital systems, all of their branches, providers, clinics, primary care offices, labs.. ALL of them. I've been doing this for 9 years, this spans 8 states and several hundred locations... and I also oversee the voice, paging and alert systems for said facilities. Not ONCE has anything like this ever happened. It's part of my job to see every emergency page or 911 call that is executed. There have been threats, fights and even a couple of knives... but not once have I heard of a gun being drawn, especially as described (which is defined as armed robbery).
Bull effin bunk.

This story reminds of one on notalwaysright.com, a site for sotries about dealing with irate customers and the like.
A cashier at a store relates to the poster that she's had several customers get out of paying by threatening her with a gun. It even has the obligatory business about "the right to be an asshole", etc. And yet, evidently, no one called the police, although it had happened repeatedly.
Oh, and of course, the poster made sure to mention their imaginary, vicarious generosity, as they told the store manager she should get that cashier a gift card or something. ::)

There was an incident at our area's major trauma hospital several years back where someone walked in, pulled a pistol, shot and killed a patient. So it does happen I suppose.
As for the dummie... this was a bouncie story that fell flat and she had to walk it back. Someone walks into my place of business and waves a pistol, law enforcement will be involved. Dummie's story stinks to high heaven and is not entertaining in the least. Got to have cops, bushes and evil rethugs getting converted to make a good bouncie.
I miss the good dummie bouncie spinners of yore. Now that was some entertainment! :cheersmate:
-
Hmmmm, the alleged perp was in the state narcotics DB? Sounds like perp might not legally be allowed to own a gun.
-
This clinic does not have a policy to call the police when someone waves a gun and demands drugs. :whatever:
Not a place I would want to work at, the clinic "manager" is reckless and puts patient safety at great risk.
-
There should be a police report on this incident, I would assume...
