Use your head! Medicare for All, a.k.a. single payer health insurance
1. The US is the only industrialized country that doesn't have universal health care
2. The US is the only industrialized country that doen't have Medicare for All or another mechanism which can be leveraged to control health care costs
3. The US has the highest medical costs per person in the world, by far.
4. US health care sucks compared to health care in virtually any other industrialized country. Just sucks. Our outcomes suck, we treat patients like @#$& unless they're rich or connected, we have far fewer doctors per capita, etc. We suck.
5. If you think that 1. and 2. don't relate to 3. and 4. you're either not using your head, or you're harboring an agenda that prevents you from seeing simple reality. Wake up; you're causing harm.
6. If you think we can't fix these problems - really fix them - then either you think Americans are cretins (because every other industrialized country has them fixed), or you're shilling for a cynical candidate for political office who just doesn't want to do the right thing. Please adjust accordingly.
7. If you think Americans don't want Medicare for All, think again: two-thirds do.
8. Saying "I don't want to pay the health insurance of able-bodied people who don't want to work" is a specious Republican bullshit talking point. Sorry, the Democratic big tent is not big enough to hold you or anyone else that wants to rid the world of "Welfare Queens". Go the @#$& away.

I notice it doesn't mention the heavily-Democrat-supporting lawsuit industry, also unique to the US in its stakes and bounty, as a factor in those medical costs.

DUmmies............when the bill comes due, they will howl like jackals. If they put that much effort into reducing the cost of health care, perhaps it would be more affordable.
You will never hear any of them rail against the high liability cost of health care, they want to be able to sue over the slightest things. Take away the liability and costs would drop in a significant way. Obviously if a doctor saws off the wrong leg, he has to be liable. But doctors are so afraid of being liable they run unnecessary tests etc.
Drug companies have to charge 5 to 6 times the cost of a medication just to cover future liability. Right down to the people making medical instruments. The costs for liability are staggering.
Why can't we buy health insurance across state lines like other types of insurance? What about small business co-ops? Small companies joining together to get good group rates.
These things could go a long way to reducing costs without sacrificing quality...............DUmmies don't care, they just want it free.

There are more MRI machines in the state of NH than in all of Canada.
I have a relative that drops in from Canada to have her mammogram performed and read, pays cash at time of service.

It also doesn't mention that the US has one of the highest standards of living for most of the people in the country.
Even people on welfare in the US have a better standard of living than most Europeans.
