John Kerry Breaks Leg In Bike Accident

John Kerry broke his leg in a bike accident in France on Sunday.

The Secretary of State, 71, was cycling on his own bike on a Tour de France route in Scionzier when he hit a curb and fell from the bike. According to State Department spokesman John Kirby, “Paramedics and a physician were on the scene with the Secretary’s motorcade at the time of the accident.” He was given on-site medical treatment, before being flown via helicopter to Geneva, Switzerland for hospital care.

He's already busy nominating himself for a medal.

The injury is to Kerry’s right femur, and while not life-threatening, it could take months for the thighbone to heal. Kerry will now be flown back to the United States to be examined by in Boston by the same doctor who previously operated on the politician’s hip, as the broken bone is in the same area.

Why doesn't mashed potato face Lurch just stay in France for treatment?  The leftists spent years telling us all how great the health care system is over in France and how bad it sucked here in the USA.

Why can't we do health care like the french?

Since their system is rated #1 and ours #37, might be an obvious question but why not just model it after their system?

Americans in Paris evaluate French healthcare and benefits

This stellar level of public service and benefits seems rather incredible,
at least to us Yanks. But seems to be the norm in European countries.

Plus, medical house calls!

Wonder what the carbon footprint of that entire episode, from the motorcade chaperoned bike ride to all the air travel is?  :fuelfire:

Maybe the Frogistanis didn't want him ... one of the uncommon occasions I would agree with them.

There's no business like snow business, like no business I know.
Kerry is world class at snowing or attempting to snow people.
One of them probably told him to break a leg.

With Imam Kerry bedridden, who will lecture us about the peaceful and gentle ways of Islam?  That Harf chick obviously can't do it.

There's always Jen Psaki, the only person in history whose employment with the federal government has positioned her ideally to be the manager of a Forever 21.

Seriously, I think the guy hurts himself on purpose to prove he's still spry, so Carly Simon and the other chicks of his youth will think he can still get it up.

Lovely. A Bush family member falls, and the ass-clowns there post pages of ridicule.

So John F'n Kerry (who served in Vietnam) fell off a bike, on pavement, in France, and broke his femur.

Aren't there enough streets and pavement in the US for him to fall on and break something?

If he fell on his face instead of his leg, he wouldn't have hurt himself.  (At the least, no one would have noticed)

On the plus side this sort of put those Iranian nuke talks on hold.

Why haven't the French installed padded curbs?

Sounds like crumbling infrastructure to me.
