The DUmp purge will begin shortly!

1. Which makes me ask the question does he officially switch to being a Democrat on Thursday? Or on whatever date he files paperwork, or when?
He didn't say if he was running as the [D]...
Smarmie Doofus (12,588 posts)
3. You mean the campaign is going to actually involve serious discussion of real issues?
To friggin' good to be true!
K and R,R,R,R, and R.
Good Lord, I hope so!

60. Another Obama ... playing the ultra-liberal part
and swinging hard to the right (if) elected.
Oh yes. Bernie and barry- the far right candidates... as compared to Hillary the uber Liberal...
Dont call me Shirley (5,254 posts)
7. Move it to the left Bernie!
Please do. All the while complain that barry ahs been too conservative and Hillary would be worse.

11. Sanders 2016!

Use that as your election slogan!

17. Ohhhhh...Debbie Downer moment...
I've huge mixed emotion about this.
I like what he says and where he stands BUT...While he can kick some ass on HRC, I do not believe he can win the final vote.
I also worry that he'll be "wounded" after a campaign...and we SO need his voice in Congress...same for those pushing for Warren.
We MUST retain the White House.
Not so much wounded in a primary against Hillary as found dead of a gunshot wound to the back of the head by natural causes!

26. This is good news but we have to think far down the road on this and how it will playout. Also he's going to have to have lots and lots of campaign money. Where, other than from us, will it come from?

31. RUN BERNIE RUN!
Can we have a Sanders for President room here, where people cannot badmouth Bernie?
There is one for Mrs. Clinton!

38. When is Senator Sanders switching to formally become a Democrat?
I know he has always Caucus with the Democratic Party...I'm grateful. Do you think the DNC Chairwoman will embrace him?
What about Skinner? How will his wife feel about this?

41. Awesome, Hillary was already moving left, this will do more for that.
I hope he gets the media to give him time and attention.

81. I'm glad he's running.
He will present genuine leftist strategies that will be effective for our country to move forward.
I hope he's in televised debates with Hillary and other candidates. That helps me form my decisions, plus I love watching them. I'm very interested in longer type debates and I also really wish the League of Women Voters could get back involved. I read here at DU, in another thread, that they no longer sponsor debates and I think that's a real shame. I'd love to see them feel comfortable enough getting back involved in sponsoring debates.
My other hope is that his candidacy encourages more people to vote. Not only in the primaries and general election, but to vote in state and local and congressional elections, where we need all the progressive support we can get.
Next on my dream list: Barbara Lee from California.
Bernie and Hillary in a TV Debate... Do you think they will try to out left eachother or play to the right?
Either way... so much funny shit will come out of it.

Oh please do.
When leftists tell the truth of what they plan to do sane people recoil in disgust.

The 'Ross Perot of the Left' . . . Hey, one can dream! :whistling:
He can pick up the mantle from Ralph Nader . . . what's Nader doing nowadays, anyway?

Getting ready to be Red Bernie's Veep candidate.

Did a DUmmy actually say that Hillary was already moving left? Nice joke, DUmb ass.

The only way Sanders can have any impact is if he runs as a third party. That would be nice.
Otherwise, he's just a mosquito hitting the windshield of the Hildebeast's tour bus.
-
In what world did Obama swing far right??

I have to disagree. I think someone like O'Malley will end up taking the nomination. Hilary isn't popular or likeable, no matter what the media tries to do.

The Bernie threads are beginning to fill up like a bed pan in a diarrhea ward. They are going to be so distressed once all that defecation hits the ventilation. Both PCintern and WeeWilly Pitt currently have threads up.

22. My...aren't you principled...
it won't work here with him. And you know that...you really do. this whole thing is ridiculous. The guy says he's a SOCIALIST. It's his PARTY. Have you bothered to see what's going on here? This is a national electorate which is NOT GOING to elect a socialist. Ever. It's a wet dream for us Progressives.
The nightmare is Marco Rubio, or Jeb, or worse. and it can be worse.

It's an insult to compare him to Forrest Gump.

Well doc,not only do most of your fellow DUmbasses think bernie will get 85% of the national vote they also yearn to have Israel and the Jewish people exterminated from the face of the earth.

In what world did Obama swing far right??
When he didn't close down Gitmo his first day in office
When he didn't push for single payer healthcare
When he continued the drone strikes in Pakistan
When he didn't toss every member of the Tea Party in prison
Those things and more are why the fascists at DU say he's the 3rd and 4th term of President Bush

A good number of the primitives are upset that Chancellor Obama, Dark Lord of the Sith, didn't dissolve the Imperial Senate Congress and declare himself Emperor.

I expect the MSM will laugh him off unless and until he actually forces them to take him seriously with some causus/primary results that put a dent in the Hitlery steamroller.

In a world that cannot have enough padding.
On the walls.

DUmmy PCIntern's description of Bernie:
In what parallel universe does a Jewish, self-described Socialist who
doesn't run a comb through his hair on a weekly basis, become President of these United States of America?
I guess we know the Big Guy's candidate:
And to think unions and socialists used to be on the same page. I’ve always backed socialism.

DUmmy PCIntern's description of Bernie:
I guess we know the Big Guy's candidate:
The Blubbering Buffalo of Bellevue, who is dying (just ask him, he'll tell you), is crying because he won't live to see the Unkempt Socialist elected.

None of us will live long enough to see Bernie elected.

As much as the primitives showed concern for McCain's age, neither will Bernie
-
It's so nice to see the party of inclusion, the party of diversity, come up with another OLD WHITE person to run for office.
I've seen younger faces on cash.

Bernie Sanders is just about the whitest human being on Earth, plus he wants the US to be more like Scandinavia http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/05/03/bernie-sanders-campaign_n_7199546.html?utm_hp_ref=tw. The DUmmies are a bunch of closet KKK retards.
-
Also, he looks like an escapee from an Alzheimer's ward.
-
This silly Bernie business is exactly like the 2008 DUmpmonkey excitement over Dennis Kucinich.
I doubt Bernie can draw as many votes as the Kootch.
