Ferguson Elections...
well, to say that this is the under covered story of the news cycle... (sadly for some good reason) is to put it mildly.

The turnout was doubled, and all that.

To us at Reporting San Diego this is what mattered:

And here is the confirmation from the St Louis Dispatch.

The city more than doubled its voter turnout in the nationally watched election. About 29 percent of registered voters turned out, while the average there and around the region for April off-year elections is around 12 percent.

This gives me some hope, though elections are hardly the all in solution for the whole issue. They are hardly that. But they are part of the toolset.

In Michael's little slice of heaven turn out was 19%. That was 4 times the turn out of the last election.

Way to go!  :yahoo:

2. So it does

and a year ago, ferguson WHAT?

Now... I am learning more about how Ferguson is not that unusual. I have gotten an education.

Tomorrow a nice presser to cover, unrelated, and go back to my research on rap and the legal system. It is not pretty.

Still ****ing over the english language I see.

Not so sure about him.

Brain damage from months of hypoxia combined with a sailor's any-port-in-a-storm libido accounts for his unfortunate association with the nutcase.

There's no evidence of an English-speaking person contributing to her blog.

Has anyone checked into Nadin and mr. nadin being the inspiration for this movie? Trade the coffee shop for the mexican paramedic/ journalist/ etc and it's a perfect match!

I got an idea Nads. How about you move to Ferguson?  Might as well add professional race baiter to the list of occupations you claim you have had.
