*** My gofundme Page ***
It looks stupid, but I can't figure out how to edit stuff like the size of fonts and whatnot, but I think I've muddled through doing it so that it works. I hope.
For anyone that wants to donate anything or even just to pass it around on facebook or twitter, I'd be ever so grateful.
I didn't have an idea in the world what to put in as a "goal" amount, so I just chose an arbitrary amount about the size of similar campaigns and mostly so that if I put in a smaller amount the page would just close itself by reaching a smaller goal amount. I don't actually have a real goal amount since I can really only deal with this situation one step at a time and hope for the best.
For those that don't know, last Monday (the day after Easter) I filed an appeal in the county court mostly just to buy some time. The clerks there were very knowledgeable and helpful unlike the dingbats in the district court. With their help I filled out a ton of papers to file as a pauper which waived the $285.50 filing fee, and I only had to pay 1/3 of a month's rent at that time just to file the appeal. Twenty days later I'll have to pay the remainder ($850) or the whole deal is off, and then 30 days after that I have to start paying the rent to the court every month that they put in escrow until the hearing in - get this - NINE MONTHS! Of course, I have no intension of being here anywhere near that amount of time, and with the mold or dryrot or whatever the hell it is issue I REALLY want to get the hell out of here as soon as humanly possible and away from this nut of a landlord that's really starting to scare me.
Anywho, here's my gofundme page...

Please share it on facebook or twitter or where ever.
Thanks you so much!
Yeah,$4000.00 after you begged the DUmp for 2k is pretty arbitrary. :whatever:

Oh my.
From the gofundme page:

Through all of this, you have been give a ton of great advice to call charities, different organizations. You've ignored all of that, instead writing paragraph after paragraph explaining why you just have to get money to pay rent for a place you call a dump! You have refused to take ANY of the great advice given to you, and here you are, again.......asking for money to stay in a place you call inhabitable. Please explain why that makes sense?
-
Oh my.
From the gofundme page:
Well, now it's evaporated.
<<<wonders what's up with that.

Torchy's gimme campaign is the electronic version of stripping.
She figures that she only has to shake her moneymaker, and the rubes will open their wallets and stuff the Benjamins into her g-string.

So she wants to raise money to stay in a slum-house?
I could not find the comment section, but one has to wonder why she stayed there so long if the conditions were that bad for any length of time - and she hasn't been unemployed all that long.

The DUmmies are suspecting it's a torchy scam.
There has to be a courageous DUmmie over there who will be the first to say so.

how is the witch paying that much rent for a place that is so bad? I'm curious how much of that damage was done by her dumping potions down the drain when the police are knocking.

She must live in one of those liberal run paradises. $850-1000/month would be a high mortgage payment around here.

This striptease at age fifty must learn the millitorr of suction to enable their lifestyle. Otherwise they face the humiliation of gofuc&me dot com to perpetuate their habits of laziness.

btw. Just a question. If the court has ruled in the landlord's favor can posting pics accusing the landlord of bad things be considered slander/libel?

Part of a response it made and very telling about the train wreck of a life/person.

31. interesting that you mention this
I've thought about this since I first moved to this town with my parents when I was 18 after they sold the house, and there was a woman in our building that bid on foreclosed properties at the sheriff sales for her dad who was in construction who gutted them, fixed them up really nice and sold them for way more money. It always seemed to me the most likely option to ever be in a position to own a house.
Over the years I've come to the conclusion that though I've lived in so many rental places sometimes with crappy neighbors or crappy landlords or crappy properties or places I liked but were sold so I had to move, etc., I don't think I really want to own a house at least not at this stage of my life. Now that I'm getting older I'm starting to really despise winter, and every year in this area they seem to get longer and colder and more miserable. I always thought in the back of my mind that I think I'd like to move farther south eventually. One thing I've always liked about the idea of working as a bartender is that it's the kind of job one can do anywhere whereas when I was working all those years as a legal secretary/paralegal Yet can`t understand eviction proceedings I felt very trapped in this state only knowing the laws and legal procedures, etc. right here... it just wasn't the type of job one could easily transfer to another state.
My life is very uncertain now what with a change of careers, and I like it that being a renter means I don't have the responsibility of maintaining the property where I live or that I can pull up stakes and go somewhere else on quick notice should there be a reason to. I'm only one person, and even in this small house I feel like there's too much to take care of and too much to pay for. Do I even WANT a whole house and yard of the average family size which is pretty much all there is anymore? It doesn't even seem very sensible to own a house when you're only one person.

Climate Denier!!!
A Paralegal? I call :bouncy: ! Even in Business Law 101 one learns that all but one US state's laws are based on English Common Law. So while there are differences, and the differences are not trivial, the learning curve isn't that steep! the problem isn't the depth and steepness of the learning curve, but this female's willingness to learn! Given her present occupation, I wonder if "legal secretary/paralegal" is a euphemism for "lap candy", with a side relationship with Mr. Xerox Machine.

This is getting confusing.
Torchy is an ex-stripper and ex-paralegal; now bartender or unemployed/unable to work, and she describes herself as 'between careers'.
Is that between stripping and paralegaling? Between paralegaling and bartending? Or between bartending and suckling at the disability teat until she can draw Social Security?

Didn't she slip on the ice and break her coccyx? What happened with that? Does she need a new gofundme page for a rubber donut?

94. what makes you think we're uneducated?
Dammit, I hate this assumption shit. Most of the younger girls strip to be able to afford higher education that couldn't be had otherwise. Most of us older strippers threw in the towel and started stripping after our higher education got us nothing but shit jobs that barely put food on the table much less paid for all that higher education debt.
We aren't lazy or stupid or uneducated, and how our parents raised us has **** all to do with why we chose this profession. My parents were marvelous, and it pisses me off no end that anyone would think I was a victim of bad parenting because of what I choose to do for a living when I discovered the hard way that working 60+ hours for some oger that treated their workers like slaves for shit pay that barely paid the bills wasn't nearly good enough and totally futureless. Everyone knows why people are forced to work endless hours for shit pay for some oger, and it has nothing to do with parenting but everything to do with politicians.

<snip>
So anyway.... I graduated from bartending school and got T.I.P.S. certified as well since some places require it and have been out everywhere trying to get a job. I had no idea it would be this hard. Every place must be getting at least 50 or more resumes, and of course they'll want to hire the most experienced person they can since they still only pay the bare ass minimum (weee! a whole $2.51!!!) regardless of who they hire. I swear that in order to get that first damn job bartending you have to know someone. I had thought having gone to school and getting T.I.P.S. certified would made a difference but so far pffffffffftttttttttt. Worse, I no longer have any professional references since all the places I worked before either are closed now or it was so long ago they wouldn't remember who the hell I was. I'm not kidding, I'm considering enlisting one of my neighbors to fake being a professional reference for me. I'm just about broke, so I need to get a job pronto. I got a big dog to feed!
